Re: [OnlineAlpha] Re: Season Two observations

Barbara Bain uses her eyes/facial expressions - and that's what I think
people
miss. Watch her eyes/facial expressions - even if she isn't the focus of
the
scene, she has something to "say" with her eyes/facial expression.
======================================
Yes! Look at her at the end of AMOLAD, as she watches Terra Nova shrink
into the distance. Her subtily shifting facial expressions and her eyes
say it all. No words, no other physical gestures. Not everyone can do
that.

Barbara Bain was just fine, actingwise, in Y1. Remember the situation: she's lost her husband, been blown into space, found him again, then lost him again...

I agree with that as well. I know people have commented about her wooden acting in Breakaway. But, as was mentioned, look at the circumstances. In this...

Never much liked her much. My wife and I have often regarded her as the weakest character/actor in the show. For all her flaws, Maya is a more interesting...

Bain is a perfectly competant actress, but there were times in the first season of Space 1999 that she was wooden, stilted. Rick slinter@... wrote: ...
