RE: [OnlineAlpha] Re: Season Two observations

Not every actress has won three (3) consecutive acting Emmy Awards either.

Some might say that Jessica Simpson is beautiful and mesmerizing butthe simple
fact is that she can't act. Beauty and ability are not thesame thing.John Saxxon
has a long career in movies but I haven't seen much in theway of praise for his
abilities either. There are many actors who forone reason or the other have
maintained a long career in the movies.Does that qualify them as great actors?
Some are many aren't. A personmight be a librarian with 40 years on the job,
does that make them agreat librarian or just persistent?I can appreciate the
fact that she has performed on stage in someprestigious theaters does that mean
that I should like her? Myopinions are my own (well not quite, my wife shares
them at least).Just because Niel Diamond or Tom Jones or Roy Clark has had a
longmusical career doesn't mean that I particularly want to see them. Theymight
have performed at Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall but I stilldon't want to see
them. I didn't like BB in Mission Impossible orSpace:1999 or the Rescue from
Gilligan's Island, they were essentiallythe same character with about as much
sex appeal as six day old toast. The fact that she has had a long career pleases
me. At least shedoesn't have to worry about paying the bills, good on her.--- In

Barbara Bain was just fine, actingwise, in Y1. Remember the situation: she's lost her husband, been blown into space, found him again, then lost him again...
