I always had a theory about the cigars on NwM. I realize the writer probably did not have this in mind. I thought that the tobacco in the cigars were laced...
Or better yet, the "lead" in an ordinary pencil can be used as a catalyst in tobacco that is treated to create the chemical which keeps them "with the program"...
