RE: [NorahODonnell] Norah!

I agree with you about MSNBC the way they treat Norah like a doll in

FOX. I have heard her say she is not a fan of the FOX
network.Nevertheless, she is terrific abd one damn good reporter. I
hope my good friend Geoff her husband knows how lucky a man he
is.Although I know he knows he is.

Yes. It's too bad Norah has been unwittingly propagandized by political
correctness...which is utterly against the principles of her obviously Catholic
background. Fox has the more balanced view, though I see MSNBC beginning to lean
toward the middle...not out of moral or intellectual committment, but out of a
grasp for the almighty dollar: Fox has succeeded with this tactic and so,
perhaps, may they; this, I think, is their thinking. But they don't have any
gray hairs on staff....they don't have anyone with the experience and authority
of a Britt Hume....just a bunch of old worn out liberals, like Phil Donahue, and
otherwise, young shave tails; getting opinion from Dan Abrahms is like taking
wisdom from your teen age son; absurd. He doesn't even have the tools of thought
to see the meaning of any given issue, let alone interpret it insightfully. I
look at him and think that he's only there because he knows someone or is
related to someone who have given him this position, while many more who are
more deserving can't get their foot in the door.
Fox looks conservative to MSNBC only because of the extreme propaganda these
young uns have gone through...even at nominally Catholic schools like
Georgetown, where in reality, many faculty teach perversities diametrically
opposed to authentic Catholic moral and social teaching. Older Catholics, some of
whom have gone through the liberal phase and have subsequently been "mugged by
reality" have a more balanced perspective. These include Rush Limbaugh, Sean
Hannity, Pat Buchannan (who is periodically on MSNBC, but only recently), Bill
O'Reilly, William Buckley and many, many others. All these guys are in varying
degrees to the right of MSNBC staff and much more in line with authentic
Catholic moral and social teaching....they're all also pro life; a good thing
for anyone to be. Pro Choice; who can be pro choice without looking at what the
choice is, and when the choice is destruction of human life who in his right
mind can approve of it!
But I digress. Did see Norah on Hardball last night...there apparently she gets
a chance to do a little editoralizing and not appear as a doll in a window
display. She did a very good report on the Saudi money thing. Yes, there's
perhaps no hard evidence the Saudi princess knew where the money was going..but
these guys are far from off the hook. NO ONE in the middle east are our friends,
for, liberal or conservative, luke warm or fanatic, the Muslims hate the west
and envy Christianity and hate Judaism and tolerate Jews and Christians only to
the degree that it is to their advantage in some way...usually money.
Again, if it weren't for Norah and Chris Matthews and Pat Buchannan I would
never turn my dial to MSNBC.
Tom
