From last year's RCW139 I have told you that DM is class act entirely. He makes himself avaialble to fans, joins in with the fun (it was his idea to grab a group photo shot) and came nicely to Catherine whatshername's (Elaine) rescue when she was dying on the stage.
Come on up, DM is worth the whole price of admission.

I do have all the archive stories on my hard drive at the moment. I'm planning
on putting it all either on Weebly.com (free website place) or on my own
website, but I haven't had the time lately. I'll make sure it's near the top of
the To Do List, and we'll see how busy the holidays are this year. :)
As for the automatic link in the emails, I'd forgotten all about that. I'll
change it right now, and update it when I get the Archive re-homed.

Yes, I'm still writing but at the moment the muse is gagged by rl. See, I went and got a job. For the last 15+ years I've been a stay at home mom and had plenty of time to play, now.... not so much! Pout!
I keep telling myself that I will eventually adapt - it's only been three months - and eventually I'll get back to finishing up my Stargate series, then hop back and do either The Games People Play or Red Serge (want to do both eventually!) but at the moment....

Kali asked about Janice fic. Ya see, geocities bit the dust earlier this fall.

> Hello everyone! Big milestone today, as registration is now open for RCW 139: Duesers' Day Off! You can find the Registration/Online Store page under the RCW 139: 2010 tab. Detailed instructions as to how to register and pay for your registration are included, but here's a summary: > > -Both attending and supporting memberships are on sale > > -For attending memberships: last year, you told us that paying the entire cost of the convention 9 months up front wasn't ideal. We heard you, and are therefore using a deposit system this year: $50 for adults, and $25 for children/youth. As well, all members who make a deposit in the next three months will receive a discount of up to $25 over the normal convention price. > > -For supporting memberships: get yours now! Support RCW 139 and reserve your bagful of goodies, sure to be as good as last year's (remember the personally dedicated picture of Paul Gross? The t-shirt? The trading cards? And more...)! Supporting memberships are available for the special price of $35 (same as last year!) until 31 Dec 09, after which the price will rise to $45. Note that we are selling supporting memberships with shipping included this year, which will ensure that you receive yours soon after the convention! > > -Want to surprise a friend or family member with an RCW 139 supporting membership for Christmas? There are a few links to those of us of the moo's "generation" of duesers on my links page.
I'll have to re-look at any that were once geocities, though.
Heh heh, I think of you, Janice, Snowee and others (don't feel slighted listlings) as my generation and M-A as one of the older generation, even though M-A is chronologically half the Moo's age, hee hee. Such is the fandom world.

Two incidents ganged up on me yesterday as a reminder of my favorite not-too-angsty Janice fic.
First, I've been following Nathan Fillion (Capt. Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly/Serenity and Richard Castle from Castle) on Twitter and he posted about "Rememberance Day". Also since I was downtown getting my flu shot anyway, I stayed for a while and watched the Veterans' Day parade and saw members of the VFW passing out little paper poppies.
So, now I want to indulge in my annual tradition of reading Janice's fic about Fraser observing what my parents always called Armistice Day (one holiday, so many names) but I can't find it. I was sure I had it bookmarked but I guess that was on my old computer.
Janice? Anyone? Help!

>From Entertainment Weekly: ABC has opted not to order additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively canceling the freshman dramedy. The show, which has consistently ranked last in its Wednesday-10 pm timeslot, is expected to finish out its current 13-episode run.
“I’m pretty furious, too,” vents executive producer Maggie Friedman. “We have such an amazing group of writers and actors — best people I’ve ever worked with. None of us can believe this is really happening.”
Adding insult to injury, the network pulled the plug so abruptly that Friedman won’t have a chance to tweak the 13th episode to give fans any of that magical closure stuff. “We’re smack in the middle of several insanely juicy stories,” Friedman sighs. “And so we do not get a chance to wrap things up in a bow. Which is killing me.”
If there’s a silver lining, it’s that the remaining episodes are expected to air as planned. “I believe [ABC] is going to air the rest of our run,” says Friedman, “and I think people should tune in anyway because our best episodes are in there. We were really hitting our stride. “The magic was getting crazy, the storylines were getting really exciting and sexy and dangerous,” the exec elaborates. “I [just] wish we could’ve given the fans — and ourselves — real closure.”
