Well, well, well.
It looks as though we made the right choices. Tyce had to go and so
he did. Moy, despite her charisma, should have gone after the first
week, as so she has also departed. I would have rather seen Shannon
depart instead of Allison. Thank God that my Boo, Brandon, made it.
This evening was awesome. Serena is incredible. Harlem is just a
little over the top, but his voice soars and he knows how to work an
audience. Shannon this evening had some serious pitch problems.
Brandon was awesome. He brought tears to my eyes, making me think
back to Donnie Hathaway and his duets wirh Roberta Flack. His
dancing is INCREDIBLE. I agree with JoJo, BRANDON SHOULD WIN THE
WHOLE THING.
Well, that is my two cents worth. Who has my change?
Let me go vote.
Live long and prosper!
the Dogg
Also he worked with Company Dance and was in the opening number for
the 1990 AMA's that Paula Abdul choreographed. So he's definitely
worked with the best in dance. He's listed a teacher or something
for Cris Judd and Eddie Garcia's dance thing. They forgot to
mention in this bio that he was on Paula Abdul's Under my Spell
tour. He was also in "Robin Hood: Men in Tights." So he's got the
dance credentials. But hell he's vocal ability isn't AMAZING, but
it's decent enough to get a recording contract. A great producer,
good marketing, and a great radio friendly song is all he'd need.
Heck pop music definitely proves that vocal ability isn't always
needed, Britney Spears, Jlo, Paula Abdul, etc..have proven that. So
Tyce has the sex appeal, the HOT dance moves and ability, and he's
got a fun personality. He's also a sweetheart.
> His bio on codance.comreads as follows: Tyce recently finished an
episode of That `70s Show, the new Kelly Osbourne video "Papa Don't
Preach," and choreography for the artist Pauline Rubio on the 2002
Alma Awards and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. His stage credits
include the Broadway Company of Fosse, Ricky Martin's La Vida Loca
Tour, Janet Jackson's Velvet Rope World Tour, J'Lo's Live NBC
Concert Special in Puerto Rico, and the *NSYNC Tour with Samantha
Mumba. He has appeared in videos with Celine Dion, Paula Abdul,
Jennifer Lopez, Mya, Vitamin C, Janet Jackson, Jasmine Guy, Ricky
Martin, and many more. Tyce's television credits include the Disney
movie Cinderella with Brandy and Whitney Houston, Annie with Kathy
Bates, American Music Awards, MTV Awards, Billboard Awards,
Blockbuster Awards, and the Academy Awards.*NSYNC? Hello! Member
Joey Fatone is the host and Johnny Wright, one of the judges, is
Joey's manager and close friend. Doesn't this seem a bit strange?
Tyce Diorio is all over the web. He's listed as a member of Janet
Jackson's touring company both here and here. Ironically, he is even
a member of something called the "Triple Threat Dance Convention." >
Nicole tears herself away from the World Poker Tour long enough to give us her opinions of how the remaining contestants, including Moy (right), did on the latest episode of Fame. But she also wants to know - are any of you even still watching the show to know what she’s talking about?
We’ve seen too many reality TV shows that are so unintelligent even an UNtrained monkey would turn up its nose at such drivel. That's why it's such a joy to be able to watch the absolute best - a show that encapsulates everything that's good about entertainment in general. All the major components are there: drama, intrigue, intellectual involvement, and an intimate connection with the people on the screen. I love the suspense that's created each week as I ponder what will happen to our heroes next. I love the feeling that I am watching art as it unfolds before me. Most of all, I love engaging my intellect as I sit like a puddle of goo on my living room couch. Yeah, you just can't beat the World Poker Tour. Surely you didn't think I was talking about Fame? Please - that show is the Titanic and I'm only playing the violin with the band because I feel it's my duty to you, the reader. Otherwise, I'd be floating in a life raft with the unsinkable Molly Brown, shaking my head as
I watched the devastation. But since I assume you are reading this right now because you want to know what I think about Fame and not WPT, I'll indulge you. If you insist.
Honestly, things haven't changed much since last week, except for the fact that we got to see the spoiler perform. More about that &*%$@ later. I was a little off in my predictions: I said Allyson and Justin would go, but that if the rap thing was still enough to satisfy the masses, then Alex would hit the road. Allyson managed to hang on, while Justin and Alex got the boot. For some reason, the Fame viewers just keep calling in for Allyson. I've her pegged her as history for two weeks now. I would say that she'd be gone next week FOR SURE but she seems to have sold her soul to the devil to stay in this thing. If you've read Donna's recap, you know that she's a little upset about Alex's' exit, but I’m not. I said he felt like a lounge singer last
week; apparently I wasn't the only one to pick up on that vibe. The exit of Justin was just a matter of time in my opinion. He's so full of angst that I'm sure he'll make good use of his experience by writing fifteen different raps about how much Fame sucks.
As for those who did move on, I saw little difference in most of the performances than those of the previous week. Serena overstylized AGAIN. She has a good voice, but she overdoes it every time. Is she related in any way to Morgan from American Juniors? I wonder if she's afraid to sing a song straight or if she just has no idea how to do it. Allyson was terrible AGAIN. I have no clue why she is still in it, and apparently neither does she. Her performance this week was particularly bad, so I am hopeful that she'll get her pink slip next week. I mentioned last week that Brandon was starting to grow on me, but the growth has been stunted. I think he's capable of doing a fabulous job, but his performance this week was not great. Unfortunately, the timing for a mediocre performance is awful in the extreme and I wouldn't be surprised if Brandon goes home next week. If he does, I think he should beg, borrow, and steal to get a good voice coach. He has a bundle of "potential"
(how I've come to despise that word) and with a little work, he could go far.
Carnie hit the nail on the head when she said that Harlemm is consistent. I haven't had much to quibble with as far as Harlemm is concerned for this entire competition and that hasn't changed. I still have doubts as to his marketability, but otherwise he's the tops; he's the Tower of Pisa. She also hit the same proverbial nail when she commented on her disappointment in Moy. I am right there with her - Moy has been a huge disappointment. I liken her to Kimberly Caldwell from AI2. I loved her when she sang "Superstition" for the tryouts and I held out hope for her every week. Hers was a classic case of peaking too early and I think the same theory applies to Moy. Every performance since her semi one has been lame. She's flyin' through the danger zone big-time this week, so don't be surprised if Moy is swimming with Goose real soon (see the movie Top Gun for those obscure references).
That leaves Shannon Bex. This chick is a wild card to be sure - a sort of Ross Perot for Fame. She has the look and she can dance well enough to move on. Her voice is another matter. She can sing but she's hardly great. Johnny Wright said, in the two seconds we actually got to hear him speak, that Shannon, Harlemm, and Serena were the only stars. So he basically said they should be the top three. Do I agree, you ask? (I know what you're thinking. I have a 1-900 number. Multitalented, I am.) Well, Harlemm and Serena (warbles and all) are definites for the top three, no question. I'm not sure Shannon is, though. She could be because she outshines both Allyson and Brandon and has been more consistent than Moy. But last week a new variable was thrown into the mix, our friendly neighborhood spoiler, Tyce.
Where to begin... have you read Donna's article about him? If you have, then you know that this guy is no spoiler, he's a ringer. Not only does he have a professional name in the biz in his own right, he has worked professionally with both Debbie Allen and Joey Fatone of *NSYNC. This does not compute. This guy is already a professional, which seems to go against the spirit of the competition if not explicitly against the rules. I wrote a nasty letter to both the people of Fame and Debbie Allen at her dance school stating that basically I think they’re jerks for bringing this guy onto the show. OK, I was a little more explicit and eloquent but you're getting the gist of it. If you want to know what I said specifically, or better yet, want to email the Fame people as well, drop me a line. I've got a nice scathing letter all ready for you to
borrow.
Tyce is a great dancer, he has a great look, and he seems to be at least alright in the singing department. Really, isn't "alright" the best we've seen in the singing department since this show began? It is because of this and his apparent connections with the brass of the show that practically guarantee him a spot in the top three, if not the win altogether. And speaking of winning, how is the selection going to be made after all? I would have thought that we, the viewers, would be choosing the winner, but Debbie was particularly confusing in her explanation of the upcoming weeks’ competition. Debbie said that in two weeks we will have our winner. I'll admit I’m no Einstein, but the math seems a little off to me. As of the last episode, July 9, we have seven finalists. In one week, on July 16, we should have four finalists at the end of the show because we’re getting rid of three this week. Where do we go from there? Maybe Debbie didn’t explain it very well or maybe there
is a more nefarious explanation. Maybe someone has already decided which finalists will be in the top spots. Maybe that same someone has already chosen the winner of the whole kit and caboodle. And have you heard that there was a second gunman on the grassy knoll that fateful day in Texas? Well, conspiracy theories abound, but we may never know the truth. My predictions for two of the three boots this week: Allyson and Moy.
Finally, I have to know - is anyone besides moi and our faithful RNO writers watching this crappy show? Yes, I said crappy. There is no other word to describe it. I am having my doubts that anyone with one-half - heck, let's be honest - one-tenth of a brain out there is watching. I mean, if my untrained monkey theory holds water, then is anyone out there really still interested? If you are still watching, please write to me and let me know why. I'm not being fresh (as my aunt would say), I really want to know why smart, intelligent viewers such as yourself are still committed to Fame. No, I'm not sucking up; how dare you imply such a thing?! Check in next week and I'll let you know how much further the ship has sunk. Plus, I'll let you know if there was any juicy backlash from acknowledging the pink elephant in the room.

You can see his performance again on the Bravo channel tonight at 6,

Hello. I'm a new member of the group and have been a fan of Tyce's
for many many years. I missed his performance and was hoping maybe
someone knew where i could find either an mp3 of a video of his
performance.............Thanks!!
Steven
Hello everyone! This weeks thoughts...
Brandon - You Don't Have to Call Me
I think Brandon carries himself very well on stage. He's smooth and
confident and his slick moves just keep him gliding across the
stage. I would LOVE to see this man moonwalk.
Shannon - Respect
After two weeks of hoping for an "oldie" song from this talented
performer, my wish has finally come true. I truly think her voice
shines when she does older material. She's passionate, dedicated,
and definately a performer. I like her unique deep "growl" and they
way she always breaks up her number with a dance beat.
Moy - New Attitude
As Joey keep saying..."I want some Moy!" Every time she steps on
stage, she just looks like she's having fun. She always encourages
the crowd the join in her excitement and she really makes each
performance and song her own. She has dancing in her bones and I
think she has the drive to win it all. I also really liked
her "rappy-rock" breakdown in tonight's episode.
Harlemm - Lean on Me
This man is pure joy, love, respect, peace...the list could go on and
one. I think it really boils down to pure. He's all heart and soul
with a unqiue style and sound. Harlemm is a crowd favorite and could
easily be #1...planet Harlemm.
Serena - I Can't Make You Love Me
She is definately a performer who owns the stage, song, and audience
when she performs. Serena is a beautiful person, both inside and
out, and she has a fantastic gift. I hope to see more of her in the
present and future.
Alyson - The Way You Love Me
Did anyone else notice the complete look of shock when she was
announced as the next performer? Bless her heart! I think Alyson is
very sweet and dedicated. I like how she really gets into her
performance and always stays in "character." She's fantastic at
expressing emotion and really feeling the performance through her
dancing, facials, and body movements. Plus, I LOVE her sassy red
hair. I hope to see her on Broadway!!!!
Tyse - What's Goin On
This talented man seems very confident and comfortable on stage. He
is obvisouly VERY gifted in the art of dance and I would LOVE the
opportunity to study with him. He's sexy and has very expressive
facials. Tyse is a dance, dance, dance, dance, dancin' machine...did
anyone else catch the MJ (Michael Jackson) move?
Justin & Alex
Unfortunately, Justin and Alex have been sent home. I think they
both have tremendous talents and will still make it in the industry.
I think Justin is full of raw passion and has a FANTASTIC gift for
writing and expressing his thoughts, emotions, and feelings. I think
Alex is just a sweet man with a passion to perform. He's very smooth
and I love his passionate voice. I hope to see more of these two in
the near future.
Group Performance - Love to Love Ya Baby
The group number started very soft and sensual. Then got down and a
little funky. And ended again very soft and sensual. I like how the
number came full circle. I would love the opportunity to learn dance
with Debbie Allen...she's a very talented choreographer and gifted
lady. On a side note - Has anyone from this group thought about
breaking down the group dance numbers and attempting to learn them at
home? Is there a copywrite violation to learning the steps that
way? I have taped each week's episode and plan to create my own step
sheets for the group dances. Would anyone be interested in comparing
notes?
Only two weeks left till the end...
I am not sure what I did cause that last post was not finished, but
here is the rest:
Shannon Bex has a nice voice but I do not think that her performance
tonite was all that. Her vibrato was too tight to pull off "Respect".
I was shocked to see Alex go but was not disappointed to see Justin
leave.
I STILL LUV BRANDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with some of the things this writer points out, but I really
wish people would stop comparing the two shows. "Fame" is new and I'm
sure the producers will work out some of the kinks for next season.

Donna was completely obsessed with American Idol 2, so she jumped at
the chance to recap Fame. It was based on one of her all-time
favorite movies, it was on the top-rated network in a plum time
slot, and had a high budget and excellent production values. Yet
she's finding that she's just not into the show at all. What's wrong
with this picture?
Anyone who reads Foxes on Idol on a regular basis knows that I was
completely obsessed with American Idol 2. There is no need to go
into detail about the manifestations of my mania; all you have to do
is go through the article archives and you can read all of my
rantings for yourself. When I heard that NBC was going to be doing a
similar show based on one of my all-time favorite movies, Fame, I
was ecstatic. And when our editor asked me to do the recaps, I was
relieved, figuring that I could substitute addictions (Fame for
American Idol) and keep my reality/talent show buzz going for the
rest of the summer.
I started watching, writing, and waiting for the old magic to start
to kick in. But wait now - the show is well into the finals already,
and still nothing is happening for me. What is wrong?
Just to put things into perspective, week six of American Idol was
the "Wild Card" show. At this point, the Bolt message boards were in
overdrive and the Claymates were organized enough to get Clay into
the finals. The uproar over Frenchie's dismissal was still going
strong, and fan bases for other contestants were forming. The show
was well established and I, for one, was already hooked.
Fame has been moving a lot faster, and that may be one reason why
viewers are not responding the same way. We have arrived at the Top
Eight (well, nine with the spoiler) already, and we still don't know
these people at all. And in order to get hooked, we have to care
about the contestants. The producers tried to get us to care by
showing clips of the performers commenting on their lives and
frequently weeping about this or that. Personally, I found these
clips to be annoying. They didn't tell us anything at all, really.
Why should I care that you were a fat kid? I don't.
If I don't care, then it doesn't matter to me who is eliminated or
not. I watched the first eliminations with detachment. Garry and
Lauren; so what? And while there are three people on this show who I
enjoy watching, I wouldn't get all worked up if they were eliminated
either, really. I remember watching Idol the night Ruben was in the
bottom two and being stunned. The next day people were talking about
this. The night Trenyce was spared and Carmen was finally voted off,
I whooped! I am not whooping for anyone on Fame and this show does
not come up regularly in conversation.
On paper, at least, Fame should be kicking Idol's butt in the
ratings. NBC is the top rated network and airs the show in a decent
time slot right before Law and Order. NBC has the money to do this
right, and visibly Fame has outshone American Idol right from the
start. Fame has had a live band and even backup singers all along,
while the poor Idols had to sing with only a piano in the early
rounds. This season, the Idols never had a chance to perform with a
band at all. Fame performers have had the advantage of a live
audience from the beginning and didn't have to adjust to that factor
once they reached the final group. I remember first time the Idols
saw the stage. They wandered around like yokels with their mouths
open. This show should be working, but it isn't.
Some people use the excuse that it's summer and viewers are occupied
with outdoor activities. Bull, I say. The first American Idol
started up in the summer and that didn't stop people from watching.
I have also heard the theory that viewers are burned out on this
genre. Wrong again. American Juniors is attracting an audience and
beats Fame's ratings week after week.
There are a couple of reasons why Fame isn't cutting it, and one
comes right down to the level of talent. This was supposed to be a
search for the "triple threat" – i.e., someone who can sing, dance,
and has star quality (that's my interpretation anyway). I think this
is where they missed the mark. Some people who are still on this
show sing very well, while for others, dancing is their stronger
talent. Only one person seems to be able to do both well – Harlemm
Lee. This factor makes judging these people difficult. Serena Henry
sings well, but her dancing is not real fluid. Moy really knows how
to move it, but her singing suffers a bit in the process. This also
affects the group numbers. Their harmonies are nowhere near as good
as the Idols, but the dancing is usually fun to watch. I laugh when
I think about the attempts Idol made to interject dancing into their
group numbers. As for the "triple threat" – right now I don't think
anyone has it. So how does one vote?
Another reason that this show isn't grabbing people is that we, the
viewers, have no investment in the Top Twelve. We didn't pick them;
the judges did. And while I don't disagree particularly with the
choices, it would mean more to us if we had chosen them ourselves.
Judges are not always right in correctly gauging potential. Who can
forget what happened when poor Carmen let Simon down? He devoured
her alive in front of millions. And it is possible (although not
probable) that Clay might never have been in the top twelve had it
not been for the fact that his fans voted him in as their wild card.
Hell, even Ruben might not have made it if the judges were the only
ones making the determination, since he didn't fit the "image" that
they were going for early on. So this part of the process really
does matter. Still, Nashville Star had more appeal to me than Fame
does and the judges handpicked those contestants, so that can't be
all of it.
NBC hasn't helped matters in that the website for this show is
downright cheesy. American Idol's website is outstanding, offering
video, photos, stuff to buy, and the all-important link to the
message boards. There is no message board link on the official NBC
Fame site. I found a couple of Fame message boards, the best being
INReview at http://fame.inreview.com, but I had to plow through
several pages on Google before I came up with it. The activity on
this site is starting to pick up a little, but isn't even close to
what was going on with Idol.
They have also pissed people off with the voting procedure that
limits not just votes from an individual phone line, but also per
time zone. In an attempt to avoid the fiasco that occurred with the
American Idol voting, Fame has gone in the opposite direction. I
don't know why they are so paranoid; most people are simply not into
any one performer enough to sacrifice one or two hours of their
lives to power vote for them.
Fame is not consistent. Every week something changes, whether it is
the prize package, the definition of the "triple threat," or the way
the judging is handled. Week after week, we saw the "I Came to Work"
number, and now it appears that it's gone. Up until this week, all
three judges gave their opinions, but in the first of the final
shows, time constraints prevented this and we heard way too much
from Carnie. First you could vote for two hours; then only one. We
are creatures of habit and like to know what to expect. Idol
followed a pattern and was the same every week. The only surprise
was the guest judge! We knew how the results show would go down and
that we could expect a group number on Wednesday. Even the grand
finale stayed true to the pattern. It is almost as though the
producers of Fame are winging it from week to week. I don't like
that. This should have all been figured out before the show went on
the air.
I want to cry when someone is eliminated and celebrate when they are
spared. I want to crave hearing a CD from one of these people. I
want to go to message boards that are bustling with comments and
tips. I want another Idol experience! I finally watched American
Juniors this week. I have been resisting because normally I hate
children's talent shows (there's something very Jon-Benet about it
all to me). But I liked Juniors! Maybe it's Ryan Seacrest? I don't
know, but watching the Thompson sisters' reactions on the results
show brought tears to my eyes, so it's still in me. I haven't become
completely callous! That's encouraging.
I guess I will just have to keep on watching Fame and hope for a
miracle. I don't know, though - it seems a long time coming!

I know him from years ago and he was amazing at 16 (he's 32 now)
years old. People use to stand on their chairs just trying to get a
glimpse of him compete at dance competitions. He could have toured
with all the greats back then. Anyway, I think he should be given a
fair chance. There are other contestants on the show that work or
worked professionally. Just because he has more on his resume
shouldn't mean he can't be on the show. Sure he can dance, but can he
sing? The other contestants we know have the voices, I know he has
the dance, and I've never heard him sing, since I haven't seen him in
years. They actually may have more of the triple threat than he does,
so I think it's all fair. I hope he has a great voice and does win
since he worked his butt off for years.
Uh....while you're certainly entitled to YOUR opinions, I (and MILLIONS of
others) happen to adore Brit, X-tina, Em, etc, though I see NO ONE on "Fame"
trying to emulate them.
There are a number of young aspiring artists who are influenced by Brit, Em,
Whitney, etc and why not? These artists are talented and each bring
something different to popular music.
Harlemm fans, I hate to break it to you, but he is NOT some revolutionary
artist sent to save music. None of these people are at this point. Right
now, they're all just performers trying to win a contest. Only time will
tell if any of them will make a mark, but for right now, I'm enjoying
watching them shine each week.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so must music!. For my
listening pleasure that ALELX BOYD has the best voice. The smooth
baritone sound is so new for this generation. Harlemm is another
Michael Jackson, acting like the little boy he isn't and another
female voice. I'm ready for men to back in music.

I feel you on this one. I think that I am naive enough to believe
that the voters will do the right thing on this and not vote for him.
I DO, however, take issue with the previous message about Harlemm.
Was he less than honest about his age??? YES Should he have been
booted off the show? NO!!!!!!!
There was no age limit to this show, so he met the crietria for
selection. The man can stright up sing and dance his azz off
I am still a Brandon fan all the way, although I believe that Serena
is gonna win the whole thing.
Hang in there Harlemm. You GOT IT!!!!!!!

Donna breaks some shocking news about Tyce Keith Diorio (right), the “spoiler” on Fame: he’s actually a professional dancer who's toured with everyone from Janet Jackson to *NSYNC! Could this choice of a “spoiler” have been rigged?
On Wednesday night’s episode of Fame, Debbie Allen excitedly announced the name of the “spoiler” – Tyce Diorio. For weeks, viewers had been encouraged to send in videotapes of themselves performing and had been told that from all of these tapes, one person would be chosen as a contestant to join those already in the competition. The specifics were vague and the only thing that was emphasized was that these tapes had to be received by July 1 to be considered.
Diorio was introduced to the audience as a dance instructor formerly from Brooklyn. Debbie Allen told us that he had fifteen years of dance experience and had been singing for the last ten. He seemed pumped, but the remaining eight contestants, who had already given the audience their feelings on this, were somewhat subdued in their enthusiasm.
It seemed odd to me that when he was introduced, his name was not displayed on the screen and I had to guess as to the spelling of it when I wrote my recap of the show. Later I found his name on the NBC Fame website but it was spelled Tyse, not Tyce. We used that spelling in the recap.
After my recap appeared on RealityNewsOnline, I received an email from a viewer who knows Diorio and who was amazed that he was chosen to be on this show. Not that Tyce isn’t qualified - in fact, he’s more than qualified. What bothered this viewer was that our spoiler is a highly experienced professional. She also corrected our spelling of his name in the article. I used several reliable people search engines but found no listings in either the U.S. or Canada for either variation on the name. However, it seems highly unlikely that there would be two people with this unusual name who are dancers.
That being said, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to find out information about people these days; all it takes is a quick search on Google. When I tried “Tyse Diorio,” there were no results. However, I got quite a few hits on “Tyce Diorio.” Seems that he has some pretty impressive credits, and this got me to thinking that the selection of this individual to be on Fame is certainly questionable.
First of all, doesn’t it seem strange that all along viewers were told that these tapes had to be received by July 1? The “spoiler” episode was aired on July 2. I have watched all the episodes of FAME. All of the performers have
had good days and bad days, so I am giving my opinion based on all of
the performances. Alex Boyd is my "kick Ass" favorite along with
Serena. Harlemm is certainly very good, but he should be competing
against Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. They are nearer his age.
He is a slam dunk against 18 to 20 year olds. What is NBC thinking.
Harlem will never be able to sell records. I'll be the girls are
already lined up at Tower Records to buy Alex Boyd's music.
I hope NBC gets it right if they ever do this again. FAME is about a
high school of aspiring performers. When that contestant lied why
didn't he get the boot?
Congratulations to all the honest performers who have hung in there.
It must be grueling and boring at times to keep doing this show every
week. Good luck!!!!!!

All right everbody here goes the recap of last night's July 2nd
Performance of Fame. From 10 down to 8. Two will be voted off and the
spoiler will be announced. How exciting. Ok so anyways. Here goes.
Debbie Allen - Main Judge, Choreographer, and Teacher, Joey Fatone -
Host,
Johnny Wright, Carnie Wilson, JoJo Wright = Judges
Each of the top 8 were allowed to perform while throughout the show
the bottom two were simply being dismissed.
Solo Performances
ALLYSON ARENA - "We Are Family" - Wrong song choice. However her
dancing was so on point. It took her
awhile to feel out the song and showcase it like only she can. It did
seem a little bit oversang though. The
Shakira like hip swinging move was great. I think she took total
audience control. Her voice is pretty good, but
it seemed a little too close to the original. I felt she did perform
it well maybe it's just the fact that I don't like that
song.
(Opinions from the finalists on the Spoiler)
JUSTIN JACOBY - "Shake With Me" - the dancing intro part was the
shiznit. The song was different than the ones
he's done before. It seemed more fun as opposed to being too deep.
The hip gyration moves were liquid. It was
great. His song was a lot better than last week as far as staying on
the beat and keeping his voice from fading. I
love the fact that he can write a song and get the beat, lyrics,
music and dancing done all in just one week.
SERENA HENRY - "Wind Beneath My Wings" - Here voice is a little too
quiet in the beginning. The chorus was
excellent. She hit the intensity and nailed the song. She keeps
surprising me every time she sings week after
week. The ending was the bomb. The runs at the end of the song were
the bomb, impeccable. She seems to
be the epitome of what a great singer should be. She has the chops
and the confidence. She can feel any song
she brings her voice to. Her album will definitely sell. She is so
commercial.
Dance Top 10 Finalists - "America" - Alex and Moy get the strut intro
down to a tee. I love the was Shannon can
hit the mark every time she dances and doe a different move. Justin
was kicking ass on the dancing. He should
not have been in the back row. Jamicen was getting down with the
popping of her body with each and every move.
I felt as if it seemed Harlemm was a little tired since his intensity
didn't show that much this time around.
Solo
ALEX BOYD - "Sir Duke" - His voice is so awesome. I shouldn't really
have to say anything or even bother hurting
my hand writing this. The boy is perfection. He is the bomb. The
laughing part and the 'ha' throwback were on the
money. The foot skipping was awesome, he's got the whole package down
pat. He has the beautiful voice that
can send shivers down your spine. He honestly has one of the best
most beautiful voice I have ever heard. So it
would be him and Ewan McGregor the two best male voices ON EARTH. I
love this guy. His dancing was way
better than I've ever seen from him. The boy can dance and work
wonders with his legs. Yeah, I know it should
be his feet but if you see him dance you can see that his legs are
what I mean.
MOY - "Let's Stay Together" - Her deep voice was made for this song.
Her dance moves were a bit questionable,
but her voice made up for it. Wow, props on the outfit. The boots
were kicking. The ending dance art was a lot better
than I've seen of her. She had it all down pat. It's obvious they are
working to win now. I hope she can just reach
the intensity she had on Work It.
HARLEMM LEE - "Greatest Love Of All" - His voice is excellent. He can
deliver so much intensity in his delivery
of his performances. He has a unique way of reaching out to the
audience with his performances. This guy is
just a breath of fresh air in the competition. He can sing a song and
not have to oversing it to make you feel it, cos
he just has that gift.
SHANNON BEX - "Fighter" - Awesome song. This is one of my favourite
songs. I was amazed she picked such
a noticeable and modern song. The dancing kicked hard-core butt. She
was definitely at the top of her game.
She totally felt that song. She has managed to kick ass every single
time and it's hard for me to determine her
style since she keeps changing to a different style; therefore,
showcasing the fact that she can perform do any
style she is confronted with. She is the bomb.
(Raymond Lee is voted off. He is sent packing.)
(Review of the Winner's Prizes.)
BRANDON O'NEAL - "Ain't No Sunshine" - He seemed a bit nervous. The
first notes seemed a little off. The
adlibs were not right for the song. Beautiful song I just don't like
that arrangment. He is an amazing singer and I
expect better song decisions in the future.
(Jamicen Tiangco was voted off)
Announcement of the Spoiler.
His name is Tyse Diorio. He is 24 years old and a dance instructor
for underprivileged youth. He has been
dancing for 15 years and singing for 10. He is from Brooklyn, New
york. And may I mention the boy is hot like fire.

Good evening!
Just thought I would inform everyone about a new
performing reality show that will soon hit the TV waves...
Premiering Sunday, July 13 from 7-9 pm CST on the
ABC Family Channel is Dance Fever, a remake version of the hit show
from the 70s or 80s (not sure which decade).
From my understanding, the show will feature 48
dance performances, group or individual. It will start with 6
groups of 8 and then down to the finalists.
The show will be hosted by Eric Nies (MTV Real World
season 1, MTV The Grind) and judged by Carmen Electra (MTV
Singled Out, Scary Movie), MC Hammer (rapper/dancer), and Jamie King
(choreographed for Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Shakira).
This show sounds like a MUST SEE for dance
enthusiasts (like me) or anyone interested in dance. For more
information on the show, check out this AWESOME website I happened find by
searhcing the web: http://www.discostepbystep.com/dancefever.htm
Keep on dancing! krazikiwi_98 www.freewebs.com/dancersdreamland

Here it goes...another email with my opinions and encouragement for
all of the FAME performers! (My apologies if I have gotten the names
of any of the songs incorrect.)
Allyson - We are Family
She's dyanmic and sassy with a vibrant stage presence. I really like
the way she takes control of the song she performs and makes it her
own...cute, yet commanding. I would really like to see Allyson on
Broadway; she just gets into character and displays that through her
entire performance.
Justin - Stay Hype (original rap)
He's just so darn cute...gotta love it when he smiles! :-) His
lyrics are fresh, original, rhythmic and catchy. He's confident,
suave, and unique. I really loved his "dancing machine" tonight. He
was just hip-hoppin' and jiven' away!
Serena - Wind Beneath My Wings
Can we say WOW! I was absolutely awed by her performance this
evening. Every week she wins over my heart more and more. Here
voice is soft, yet soulful and attention getting. She's passionate,
captivating, dynamic and genuine. I particularly like the way she
takes each performance and makes it her own...she owns the stage when
she performs and definately has was it takes to make it in the
industry.
Alex Boyd - Sir Duke
Every time he smiles/dancings/sings he just sends a tickle into my
stomach and a smile on my face. He's spunky and just has a good time
on stage. He seemed very comfortable with his song and his
performance this evening. Alex was definately working his sex appeal
tonight...dancing, smiling, laughing...what a combo! Gotta love the
man and his sultry voice.
Moy - Let's Stay Together
She just has fun every time she steps on stage...and probably
everywhere off stage as well. She's captivating with a unique style,
attitude, and voice. I really like how she naturally owns the stage
and the audience during her performances. Moy works it all...the
song, the stage, the voice, the dancing...she has what it takes!
Harlemm - ?????
This man is so soulful and full of passion. He's motivational,
inspirational and hopeful. I love watching him sing...it gives hope
for a better tomorrow and that all your dreams can come true. He
exhibits happiness and peace and is genuinly full of love. Tonight's
performance definately came from the heart.
Shannon - Fighter
She lights up the stage with her sassy attitude and characteristic
facials. Shannon lets the performer in her shine through her dynamic
dancing and expressive eyes. I know with each performance Shannon
will give her all.
Brandon - Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone
He's very dramatic and allows his passion to show through his
facials. Brandon in full of emotion and a powerful singer.
Group Number - Princess America
What a wonderful tribute to America! I LOVED the canes...props are
just so much fun!!! The dancing was very sassy and the canes added a
spicy beat with the music. I would love to learn the choreography
from this number.
Finalists Who Went Home
I was very sorry to see Raymond and Jamisen sent home. Raymond just
makes me smile everytime he walks on stage and Jamisen was finally
stepping into her element. I hope to see more from both of them in
the future. Never lose your dream and keep reaching for the stars!
Spoiler - Tysse or Tyke ???
This week the spoiler applicant was revealed with a brief
introduction. His name I think is Tysse, though I heard Debbie say
Tyke (perhaps a nickname or very poor hearing on my part). He's a
hip hop dance instructor who has been dancing and singing for 15 and
10 years respectively. He didn't have much to say...just several
shoutouts to Brooklyn. He exhibits a LOT of energy!!!! Can't wait
to see what he has to bring to the table next week.
Personal Opinion on the Spoiler Application
I don't think its very fair to allow someone to step into the
competition this far in. Several original qualifiers have been sent
home and two weeks' worth of finalists have been sent home. It
doesn't seem fair to allow someone to step in this late in the
competition...it's like he hasn't earned his spot this far in the
competition. Just my opinion, but I guess we'll see what happens
next week.
Keep on dancing!
