Johnny did that because he didn't want Harlemm. I'm sure he's upset
that now he's got to spend time and money trying to help Harlemm in
an industry that probably won't accept him very well and he's going
to lose money on him. In my opinion of course. It's obvious that
the younger Shannon Bex and Brandon O Neal are the two most
marketable and will fit into the pop music scene the best right
now. Harlemm is too old, Serena would be better as an adult
comtemporary/R&B artist. Yeah I think it was a bit shady but Johnny
made it clear he wanted her to win. So he offered her the contract
to let everyone know she's going to be his focus. I would be
willing to bet that Johnny is going to put a lot more attention on
Shannon. He might even grab Brandon O Neal sometime soon as well.
Brandon with the help of Justin Timberlake, Jermaine Dupri, or P
Diddy the boy could be a star. He's got what it takes, plus he's
only 16 and so he's got lots of time before he becomes too old for
pop music. Shannon is still young too and both can still attract a
younger crowd. From a marketing stand point I would have chosen
Brandon and Shannon. I never liked Harlemm because he's a cartoon,
he's an annoyance. He performs every song exactly the same in weird
Harlemm style and it just looks ridiculous. I feel like I'm
watching Weird Al or something. It's not pop music. He always puts
that stupid twang in his voice and when he bounces up and down in
EVERY performance I just want to throw something at him. I'm sure
Johnny wishes that the judges could have chosen the FINAL winner
because now he's stuck with Harlemm and probably has no clue how to
market him or what kind of single he's going to release.
