Description

The most sophisticated and elitist espionage series ever made in the history of television, starring Steven Hill as Dan Briggs (season 1 aka Briggs' Squad) and then Peter Graves as Jim Phelps (seasons 2-7); created by Bruce GELLER for Desilu Productions (absorbed by Paramount in 1967) who controlled the first four seasons as an executive producer (rewriting and postproduction process) but produced by a legion of craftsmen such as Joseph Gantman, William Read Woodfield and Allan Balter, Robert H. Thompson, Stanley Kallis, Bruce Lansbury, Laurence Heath and Barry Crane for CBS during seven seasons (1966-1973).

For all fans of 1960’s espionage shows (The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Wild Wild West, I Spy, The Saint, The Avengers, Danger Man, The Prisoner), but also fans of Bruce Geller Produtions (Mannix, Hunter, Harry in your Pocket) or those who simply appreciate or study the work of the IMF regular cast (Martin LANDAU, Barbara Bain, Greg Morris, Peter Lupus, Leonard Nimoy, Lee Meriwether, Leslie Ann Warren, Sam Elliott, Lynda Day George, Barbara Anderson), guest cast and crew as the writers, the directors and above all, the composers: Lalo SCHIFRIN, Walter Scharf, Gerald Fried, Jack Urbont, Robert Drasnin, Jerry Fielding, Richard Markowitz, Richard Hazard, Robert Prince, Benny Golson, etc...

"... As usual, this recording will decompose one minute after the breaking of the seal. I hope it’s welcome back, Dan. It’s been a while."
Recorded voice by Robert Johnson, culled from the pilot.

Since we never know for sure how much time passes between missions it's difficult to gauge the recovery time for the agents. Only the episode "Kidnap" tells us

Plot Elements in "Fool's Gold"
I just saw this episode for the first time. It didn't have my beloved big store, but I thought the vault break-in and con game were superb. I like the way

The Big Store on Season Four
The rhyme was unintentional. As some of you may remember, the big store is my favorite plot from M:I. "The Submarine" has what is arguably the most
