Hi, everybody!

I'm still having big time problems with my computer, and have quite a few of you
to write back to yet.  My apologies for taking so long, and if anybody here
writes to Fabian, please let him know that I haven't forgotten him.  I haven't
been able to get any of the online translators to work since around the end of
December.  This stupid machine just keeps getting worse and worse all the time. 
I still can't access the yahoo groups, and I'm still trying to get back to
everybody who wrote me.  I miss talking to all of you, and hope you're all doing
fine.
Anyways, I've created a mixed assortment of 15 more wallpapers.  Some are Diana
/ Emma, and some of them are New Avengers or Joanna Lumley ones. Sorry that I
couldn't upload them all to the appropriate groups (stupid computer!!!), but
hopefully there might be something here that suits everyone's tastes.  ;)

Sorry I haven't been active on the Avengers groups recently - My computer has been a royal pain in the ****, and I'm not sure how much longer it will hold out.  Accessing anything online has become almost impossible, with my emails being the worst.  There have been a few times where it's taken up to 3 hours (with many attempts) to successfully open an email, and I suspect that I will soon be without a computer.
Since this is the case, I just wanted to make sure that I wished everybody a Merry Christmas (or whatever you celebrate), and a Happy New Year! (while I can)

Sorry I haven't been active on the Avengers groups recently - My computer has
been a royal pain in the ****, and I'm not sure how much longer it will hold
out.  Accessing anything online has become almost impossible, with my emails
being the worst.  There have been a few times where it's taken up to 3 hours
(with many attempts) to successfully open an email, and I suspect that I will
soon be without a computer.
Since this is the case, I just wanted to make sure that I wished everybody a
Merry Christmas (or whatever you celebrate), and a Happy New Year! (while I can)

Hello all.
I am forwarding this as a request from a member and fan of the
Avengers. I don't recommend this to anyone, but I am honoring his
request. There are few (if any) options other than Yahoo for many
things. I don't plan to move away from Yahoo Groups but there may be
reason to be at least cautious in what you sign up for. This group
will remain, never fear.

I discontinued using Grouply, mostly because it is a waste of time.
But James is referring to a Yahoo 'Connect' feature that I know
nothing about. Sounds more like MySpace and the like.

No reason to panic. Nothing to see here. If I have problems with
Yahoo Groups, I'll be certain to let you all know. If there are
problems with any sites you sign up on, just be careful.

Urgent Strong Virus-Like Warning About Yahoo! Mail, and My Change of
Email Address.

I am sending this to all of my regular personal and professional
contacts who I have been communicating with via this Yahoo! Mail
address. Do NOT reply to THIS Yahoo! Mail address!

This is what you must do as quickly as possible, and please warn
everyone else to do the same!

Remove my Yahoo! Mail address from your records.
Remove from your records all copies of all past emails from me.
Terminate your Yahoo! Groups if you have any, as I am doing the
same.
Terminate your Yahoo! Profile if possible if you have one.
Terminate your Yahoo! Connect list of Suggested Contacts if you have
those.
Terminate your Yahoo! Mail address and relating Yahoo! Account if
you have one.

The following is why. This is a deadly serious and extremely
frightening situation.

Earlier this year, Yahoo! Inc created a new social network called
Connect. Yahoo! Inc deleted the old Yahoo! Profiles and replaced
them with new Yahoo! Profiles as part of their new social Connect
network. The loss of the old Profiles partly screwed up Yahoo!
Groups, and most group Owners and Moderators began to protest. What
Yahoo! Inc started has not been an option for users to accept or
reject. No freedom of choice with this new feature. At first, I
thought I might be overreacting, and so I finally gave it a chance.

Today, Tuesday 16 December 2008, Yahoo! Inc changed Mail Classic to
New Mail Classic. How can it be New if it is Classic? What is
different on my New Mail Classic page? Yahoo! Connect. Now it is
directly part of Yahoo! Mail. On my Mail page, they put my new
Profile, and they put a list of three Suggestions for me to approve
them to send social Connect invitations to. I removed them. Three
more appeared. I removed them. As three more appeared I realized
they were coming from my list of contacts in my Address Book with my
Yahoo! Mail address. I copied my list and put it in a document on my
computer, and then deleted the entire list of contacts in my Address
Book.

I took a dinner break, showered, changed clothes, came back to the
computer, and found the social Connect network list of Suggestions
for Connect contacts renewed. I went to the Contacts page for that
network and to the Add Connections page, the You Have Connection
Suggestions list... and there... I found listed every single person
and business and website I have ever contacted since creating my
Yahoo! Mail address back in June 2002. All who I had deleted from my
Address Book long ago. Hundreds. I had to again delete each one, one
at a time. So I did that.

Then, more appeared. At first, I didn't recognize any. But then I
realized they are all the email addresses of those commercial
spammers and porn pushers who had sent me emails and who I had put
on the Blocked List. I then removed those from the new Suggestions
list for the social Connect network Yahoo! Inc created.

Then more appeared. Keep in mind, it states "These are people who
you frequently exchange email with, so we are making these
suggestions for social Connect invitations based on that." I began
to recognize some of the names on the new list! I then realized that
Yahoo! Inc had raided the Address Books of all people who were in my
Address Book. So, for example, now it claims I have frequently
exchanged email with the 14-year-old daughter of one of my best
friends, a girl who I have never exchanged email with and never even
knew her email address until the new Yahoo! Inc social Connect
network provided it to me! What would happen if the new system were
to proceed with doing me the huge favor of automatically sending the
invitations "to Connect" for me, such as one to her? Might her dad
get a gun and shoot me, or call the police on me?

See the problem now? Yahoo! Inc has just become THE MOTHER OF GOD of
all VIRUSES!
