Is it my lack of noticing things except at odd times or are there
more cases of Pancreatic Cancer going about?

Steve Jobs from Apple has dealt with it for over 9 months and is
surviving. We can only hope that more people can be successfully
treated for it.
I know it sounds morbid, but I never heard of it until the news of
Gareth's death. And it seems to be a disease that is gaining
attention. Checking Yahoo news for it, there are other cases
reported where someone looses a battle with it after 6-10 months. It
sounds pretty scary because the battle seems pretty short and
uncertain. But outside an occasional celebrity getting it, it is
rarely heard of or reported. At least I never noticed it before.
Just something I pondered this morning.
