Hey everyone, in case some of you aren't aware of this, today Melinda
released a new version of "My Funny Valentine" on iTunes! I had no
prior knowledge of this, so I was extremely surprised and pleased to
find it today. The beginning sounds traditional, but then it goes off
in an entirely different direction and becomes an interesting, more
upbeat reworking of the song. Not surprisingly, Melinda sounds amazing
on it!

Here's the thing - where the name of a record label usually goes, it
just says "Melinda Doolittle," so she released this on her own. I
wonder if she's planning on releasing more music this way? Or if a deal
is in the works? I know she has management now. Hmm...
