Who cares. Honestly everyone knows reality tv producers bend the
truth to make the show a hit. its not a big deal so get over it. its
for show popularity and entertainment.

Oh, and another thing. Look closer - there are native Hawaiians in
the group of friends. Open your mind a bit. These kids are probably
giving us a very honest look at what life is like for them living on
the island. And you've got to be crazy to believe that this is the
only group of Hawaiians out drinking and being involved in
otherwise "illicit" behavior. I have a good friend in Hawaii and I
just know better than that. There are people doing the same sh*t
everywhere.

I really think you have no concept of respect for other's lifestyles
or the competence of the members of this board and viewers of the
show. There is no way anyone would believe that this is what
everyone in Maui is like or that this one facet of the lives of these
friends are all there is in Maui. Just as I do not believe that all
people from Maui are harsh, and judgmental determined by the
judements of you and a few others.
Why don't you show the cast an their fans a little of that Hawaiian
laid-back, accepting nature and get over yourself? We'd all do the
same for you!
This show is their lives, and to be honest the cast seems so much
more 'normal' and real (read: more like their audience) than most of
the other casts from other MTV shows.

Hey Lauren...welcome! A great site to visit is maui-fever.com they
have a forum as well as pics and news updates. MTV.com is the best
place for pics. They have cast pics as well as photos from each
individual episode as it airs. It's pretty cool. I love the show
myself, even though I know alot of the local Hawaiins are not happy
with the way Maui is being portrayed as a party town...I love it.
It's a hot show!!
