I really think you have no concept of respect for other's lifestyles
or the competence of the members of this board and viewers of the
show. There is no way anyone would believe that this is what
everyone in Maui is like or that this one facet of the lives of these
friends are all there is in Maui. Just as I do not believe that all
people from Maui are harsh, and judgmental determined by the
judements of you and a few others.
Why don't you show the cast an their fans a little of that Hawaiian
laid-back, accepting nature and get over yourself? We'd all do the
same for you!
This show is their lives, and to be honest the cast seems so much
more 'normal' and real (read: more like their audience) than most of
the other casts from other MTV shows.

a terrible repesentation of the islands and what they are and about
(the people, culture, etc.) You all need to get over this series
and do your study on Hawaiian Heritage and Culture. Maui isn't about
this at all - we welcome (E Komo Mai) everyone on our islands, and
Ka'anapalii isn't this way either. No drunk, illicit behavior going
on, everyone comes to enjoy what the island has to offer and bring
back (well hopefully) the Aloha Spirit to their hometowns on the
mainland. THis is not Beverly HIlls or your Malibu (which has many
wrong things going on). This is our land - respect it.
