Praise God for Mandisa's testimony! She outdid all of the contestants and was not ashamed to praise the Lord in it!
Just want to mention to everyone that you can vote as many times as you can get through. I voted 77 times for Mandisa last night. My heart races when I hear her sing. She's the best!
Subject: Re: [Mandisa] Don't worry if people didn't get it
Amen to the comments below!!!
MANDISA is ABIDING in our GOD
and SHE WILL BE BLESSED
simon doesn't & wont get it. Jesus spoke in parables for people like him- those who have ears (for the truth) let them hear.
simon likes this year's blond country girl better than last year's winner also blond country singer- maybe he doesn't like her song Jesus Take the Wheel either.
i passed up voting along with my area's "soul patrol"
i entered Mandisa's idol # during the show to get it on redial - i got in SEVERAL DOZEN VOTES betw 9:30 & 10pm CENTRAL
Just wanted to tell you not to worry that simon and ryan didn't get your song tonight. remember 1 cor 2:14 - non believers cannot understand the gospel and things of the lord unless God chooses to open their heart. Don't worry that they said the "religion of mandisa" and other silly comments, believers know what your intent was and non-believers won't really pay attention to those comments. "Whether you eat, drink, or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God" 1 cor 10:31 - that is your standard. xox jenny

He couldn't even focus on the vocals because the message was so clear
and convicting. One day, Simon will look back on this performance as
a watershed event, and you will get a second apology from him. You
were great!

Hi Mandisa,
We live in Mexico and we too are 'in Christ'. We just wanted you to
know that you are AWESOME!!! The light of Christ just SHINES from
you! I know that if it is God's will, you will become the
next 'Idol'...if not; remain in Christ and He will take you where He
wants you!
We can't vote, since we live in Mexico...but you have INTERNATIONAL
fans and we'd vote for you if we could!!!
Stay in (the light of)Christ!

I am a new member and am glad to meet other fans. I am from Southern

Since you showed what a virtuous woman you were in the way you handled
Simon you have truly touched me. I pray that God continues to use
you as a light in an industry of darkness and continues to let young
people, especially young girls, that you can be great and still
maintain your morals and walk with God. Stay strong and continue to
focus on HIM.
hey girlfriend. so happy u made it. and you have a wonderful voice. i
am so proud of you...
keep making the right choice of songs . for some reason that is the
key. and i think they like the fast songs best. keep it up sweetie.
and may you find favor with God. linda
I love how Ryan took Mandisa's shoes off. How appropriate since she is
dancing on Holy Ground. God is doing it !!! Her confidence is fixed on
God and you can see it in everything she sings and does on AI. Praise
Him!
Did anyone else recognize when Mandisa made the "I'm Believing GOD "
sign from Beth Moore's Bible Study???
i was so excited, like a connection to believing sisters everwhere.
the Lifeway community is buzzing about it too. her whole
response to Simon's rude remark is there. Idol left out the part
about forgiving him like Jesus forgave her. i just happen to be
doin the Believing God online Bible study for the 2nd time!
i really pray Mandisa makes it all the way. what a message she can
send!!! she has a powerful, professional voice and presence. i
totally identify with the weight issue that hit me when blessed w my
only child at 39. i stopped singing due to struggles w image &
health.
i came fr Atlanta to a Bham college to major in voice but didnt
follow thru. music is still my passion and have been keeping up with
our area finalists: Reuben, Bo & now Soul Patrol for Taylor. i was
disappointed to read he had played at the playboy mansion. the next
American Idol needs to be someone we want our whole family to watch.
there is so much "junk" in music even the commercials.
God Bless

I heard that a song that Mandisa had recorded before Idol called
Dance, Dance, Dance has been released on a compilation called Sonic
Praise 2... Does anybody have it? I have heard a clip of it and it
sounds great.
Long time no see...
Since our days together at Fisk, I knew you were something special.
Keep knockin' 'em dead boo :) 'Rise Shine :)' We love you...

I AM A FAN OF YOURS FOR MANY REASONS!!! FIRST,YOU ARE NOT AHSHAMED
OF THE GOSPEL (A-L-L-RIGHT NOW!!!!) THEN GIRL, YOU HAVE A SET OF
LUNGS THAT ARE UNTOUCHABLE...NO DOUBT!!!! THEN.... AAAAHHHH.....AS
A PLUS SIZE GIRL MYSELF....YOU MAKE ME SO PROUD!!!!!(I FEEL LIKE
SAYING "THATS MY CHILD!")YOU REPRESENT WELL!!!! I'VE KEPT UP WITH
YOU SINCE THE BEGINNING,AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT WHETHER YOU ARE
THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL OR NOT...GIRL YOU ARE GOING PLACES!!! I READ
THE INFORMATION ABOUT YOU ON THE "A-I" SITE, AND WHEN I READ ABOUT
YOUR STRUGGLE WITH YOUR WEIGHT... MAN,IT HIT HOME FOR REAL (AND THAT
WAS AFTER I HAD SEEN SIMON MAKE THAT REMARK ABOUT THE STAGE) OOOHH-
WEEEEE!!!THATS WHEN I "KNEW" THAT YOU WERE BEARING SOME GOOD
FRUIT!!! (BECAUSE YOU HANDLED IT WITH SO MUCH CLASS) BUT IT WAS THEN
THAT AS A SONGWRITER, YOU HAD INSPIRED ME TO FINISH A SONG THAT I
HAD ALREADY STARTED WRITING ABOUT THAT VERY SUBJECT!! ITS AN UPBEAT
TEMPO,THATS ABOUT THIS FEMALE WHO IS TIRED OF HOW SOCIETY VIEWS
WOMENS BEAUTY, BASED OFF OF THEIR WEIGHT..SO SHE DECIDES TO STAND UP
AND REPRESENT!! ITS GOT AN R&B GROOVE TO IT..AND ITS JUST A FUN
POSITIVE SONG, THAT I KNOW MANY WOMEN OF ALL AGES AND RACES COULD
RELATE TOO! (PLUS I REALLY DO BELEIVE THAT IT COULD BE A MAINSTREAM
HIT!!!) IT IS S-O-O-O-O-OO YOU MANDISA..AND THANKS TO YOUR EXPOSURE
THROUGH AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT BETTER SONG COULD YOU USE TO INTRODUCE
YOURSELF TO THE WORLD..IF YOU CONTINUE IN MUSIC!!! IT WOULD BE AN
HONOR TO ME...EVEN IF YOU ONLY "JUST" CONSIDERED IT!! CONGRATS ON
YOUR SUCCESS SO FAR, I'M HOPING YOU TAKE IT ALL THE WAY!!

Mandisa rocks. She is beautiful and talented and she is by far one of my favorites! I do like Kellie and Ayla also. But seriously, I can see Mandisa taking the whole thing.
I really enjoyed reading what you had to say about Mandisa. To me, she just has a glow about her. I love her voice, and hope she goes far on Idol.

I remember her powerful performance in our university production of "Dream Girls", her moving solos in the choir, and the distinctly rich sound of her voice in the world renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers.
Nationally acclaimed artist have recognized Mandisa's talent and hired her to be one of their "back up" singers, but now is the time for Mandisa to move to the front and showcase her talent to the world. Her personality is REAL her talent is REAL and her Christianity is REAL. What more can you ask for in the next American Idol?

I'll have to do a search on her, so I can find out more about her.
I'm 40, and agree, one is never to old to appreciate good music! I am looking for to tuesday, and seeing Mandisa perform again.
I'm from Apple Valley , Ca. up here in the high desert...two hrs. from Los Angeles, and two hours from Las Vegas! I have family in your area. I also, if my memory is correct, think the christian rock group 12stones is from that area?!
I hope that Katrina was kind to you. My sister in law in Bogalusa, ended up having to move here to California.
I love being in contact with another Mandisa fan...feel free to email me privately if you ever want too! :)

Hi Debra,
Mandisa is in a class by herself. I just hope & pray that she goes all the way. She has quite an impressive list of performances and for very well-known events and people. I thought that I had remembered her singing with Travis Cottrell's Praise & Worship Team at a Beth Moore event. It appears that I was correct. Have you searched for info on her? If not, you ought to.
Quite interesting! I'm 50 years old, but I'll never be old to appreciate quality music! She's the best!
