I want Taylor to win because he is fun to watch & am thrilled that 4
years in a row the top 2 have been from metro Bham. I moved
here for Samford U.as a voice major 30 yrs ago. (Diana DeGarmo was
born here but moved near Atlanta where i grew up)

BUT... this area was overwhelmed with publicity about Bo's church
activity last year (it was not by Bo himself but by our local media,
even local Christian radio) while knowing all along his
girlfriend was pregnant (my son knows & is going to Europe with her
next door neighbor fefore they moved to Nashville) and of his prior
legal/drug troubles. I have never heard him say he is a Christian so
the image pushed localy is not his fault. I hoped he had truly found
God & changed his life. I have not been pleased by some bleeped
language in his interviews & talk about getting together for a beer
etc. I do not expect Christians to be perfect but hope those
claiming to be & in the spotlight will set a good example.

NOW TO MY POINT.... fans who loved Mandisa's talent, her soul AND
being a Christian - may be greatly dissapointed in Taylor's
background. Some is on other websites - playing clubs locally &
proud of playing at the Playboy Mansion. I know neighbors of his
family who's sons were involved with him & his brother. I'll just
say I hope they do drug testing for the show. At least NOTHING
has been mentioned of him being involved with a church.

if you search on Lifeway.com ther is good info on Idols who have
been good examples. kids are at risk for so much and NEED excellent
role models for Idols. Though it doesnt cater to kids AI is supposed
to be a family show (except the auditions which were blocked by out
parent control)

I stopped voting after Mandisa left though I liked Elliot's voice &
personality.
