Hello everyone!
I see that things here have been dead for a while, but I thought that
I would share something with all of you that I have been posting on
various paranormal boards. In the spirit of Mad Mad House, I repost it
here, as a topic of discusion. And for those of you wishing to see
more of me or keep in touch, check out where I originally posted it at:

I have talked about posting this idea for some time, as I have been
researching various things of the paranormal to write my own book. As
things currently stand, releasing all my findings and ideas may cause
more harm than good, but here is one of my favorite theories I came up
with that may help explain and elighten those interested in such
things. I believe I have a plausible theory as to how precognition,
the ability to foresee future events, may actually work scientifically.
My theory actually was spawned from two seemingly unlikely sources,
but both scientific in nature. One was Einstein's Theory of
Relativity, and the other was during Shark Week on the Discovery
Channel. You see, sharks have many amazing senses besides their sense
of smell, which 3/4 of their brain is dedicated to communicating and
deciphering input. However, one of their little known senses caught my
attention. On the tips of the noses of sharks are pores called the
Ampullae of Lorenzini. This is a big word for electromagnetic sensors,
which the US naval forces have also adopted on many ships called the
Lorenzini array. Scientists say that the shark's Lorenzini sensors are
estimated at being 25 million times more sensitive to the Earth's
magnetic poles than humans are. To give you an idea as to how
sensitive I'm describing, not only can these sensors be used for
navigation, but they can also detect the discharge of electrons on a
metal surface smaller than the size of a dime, and mistake it for a
living creature, which is why sharks have sometimes been reported as
to attacking ships with no obvious reason at the time. But to give you
more of an idea, these Lorenzini sensors pick up the micro-electrical
activity in ALL living things. Every muscle movement, every heartbeat,
every strong emotion or intense thought puts out a micro-voltage
signal. Scientists theorize that the Lorenizi senses are so acute,
they could detect the heartbeat of an animal the size of a minnow a
thousand miles away. Yes, I said 1000 miles. However, there's so much
activity in the oceans and so little of the shark's brain are
dedicated to deciphering and interpreting all the random signals, that
much is lost as micro-electrical 'background noise'. But let's keep
this in mind for later: all living creatures radiate electrical
signals with every movement, action or in some cases, changes of or
intensity of emotion. And, these signals travel incredibly long distances.
Now, let us examine Einstein's Theory of Relativity. One part of the
theory is that the closer an object reaches the speed of light, its
relative time in relation to other items or beings compresses,
therefore its own personal time slows down. If a person going at the
speed of light were to achieve that speed safely for five minutes in
its own time, the person would return only five minutes older, but the
person's personal time had slowed in relation to other bodies like
ours on Earth. Hours, days, possibly even years would have gone by to
us in comparison to this chrononaut achieving lightspeed.
Now, let's look at the two parts of this hypothesis. We have
established by science that the closer one gets to lightpseed, the
time of that object or individual slows down. Also, looking at the
shark and the Lorenzini sensors, we have established that all living
creatures emit energy that, to the right technology or natural ability
to detect, can span far distances. We sometimes forget that we as
humans and all life on this planet are not just matter, our brains are
not just chemical reactions, but electrical activity as well. Science
also estimates that the average human brain has enough power to light
a sixty watt lightbulb. We are both matter AND energy at the same
time, in this we may describe ourselves in a state of plasma, a state
which 99% of all matter in the known universe is in. It is also well
known in science that electrical activity follows the path of least
resistance, and can often return in the path of a circuit.
Now, it is time for my theory. It is my belief that because our minds
are in part energy, that means that a part of us IS closer to the
speed of light, therefore it is possible that a part of what we
perceive as our consciousness is radiating outward, its personal time
compressed but recognizeable to ourselves and others sensitive to such
energies, and therefore a part of our minds may actually be moving
forward in time. Here's another way of looking at it. Have you ever
had an extremely vivid dream that you felt like you were experiencing
for hours, possibly all night? Many dream researchers say that those
dreams in actual measured time, despite how long it feels, actually
take place in the matter of seconds, up to twenty minutes. Think about
that. As we rest and use less physical energy as we sleep, or
meditate, our minds are experiencing more events than we would
normally measure because of a compressed form of relative time, as
more of our minds are closer to light speeds.
What's more, it is my belief that our subconscious, or even the joint
collective subconsciouses of all living beings that some would call
the superconscious, may actually be cabale of calculating events that
are important to us, such as determining success in a job, finding
love, wondering if someone we care fore is all right, may actually
radiate out along energy paths of calculable possibilities. And by
following the path of least resistance, the most likely and best
possible answer to what we seek may already be known to us. Then, our
subconscious minds try to relay these events and information to us in
the forms of gut feelings, deja' vu or even full blown premonitions.
Part tuning like a satellite or radio, part processing and calculating
paths of probability, these are how mediums, psychics, and even
everyday people can foresee the possible and probable futures. And why
doesn't it always seem to work? Part of it may also have to do with
relativity in that the person receiving the signals has to be able to
interpret the input, process it consciously and be able to use that
knowledge themselves, or to discern it for others. Otherwise, part of
the problem may involve what they interpret their feelings as, or
possibly are capable of being blocked or overwhelmed, just like a
shark and their Lorenzini sensors, with so much 'background noise' of
micro-electromagnetic impulses not only by people, but by animals,
electromagnetic energies from Earth such as the pulses toward magnetic
North, lightning activity, man-made sources, the sun and distant
stars. When you look at the possibilities of all the energy and one's
ability to detect and discern it all, think about it being akin to
going to Times Square on New Year's Eve and trying to find a single
person by looking through the crowd. With the right information or
idea what to look for, it becomes easier, but at times more difficult.
This could also open up other possibilities in the paranormal. If my
theory is sound, then perhaps the Astral Plane, the Dreamscape(or
DreamTime from Aboriginal views) and levels of the spirit world may
actually come down to levels of energized relative perception, and
detectable and discernable frequencies. I hope that people that wish
to explore this possibility can find it useful, and see things from a
new perspective. I write this to open up possibilities and to find
answers we all seek, and asking for people to prepare themselves.
Because one of the possible fears in exploring paranormal and
spiritually important events is to look too deeply at something people
either take as a given, or to challenge one's belief in somethung they
may not understand, but hold their views with an iron grip.
Okay, this part of my post is an editorial. Another theory, or idea if
you will, is that any higher form of technology or understanding how
the universe works may shake what we believe to the core. It's
sometimes fear of the unknown, or worse, seeing and learning the known
with unblinking eyes. If someone could foresee all possibilities, they
could lose perspective on events happening now as to what may, or what
will be. Perhaps just as the 'civilized' explorers and conquerors came
to other worlds and were convinced that other people's cultures and
beliefs were more primitive and less refined than theirs, it does not
mean that their culture, medicines or ways of exploring the worlds
were wrong, simply different. We look to medicines used hundreds and
thousands of years ago by medicine men, shamans, healers and priests
to cure and treat ailments today. Despite what you may believe at one
time, truth is truth, and what works works. If any extraterrestrial or
extradimensional beings would have the ability to travel across great
distances or breach dimensional boundaries, they would first have to
navigate and calculate their course and destination. Therefore,
perhaps that which many people hold sacred or others hold as
sacriledge as the ability to perceive such things MAY be as natural as
anything else explainable in the world today, but we have to be
prepared to hold up ALL we believe and are willing to learn, so that
we may know the truth, and grow. Perhaps people are most afraid of
having their faiths held under a microscope and dissected
scientifically, or dismissed as primitive if something or someone
bigger comes along. Well, that's more of a karmic or fear discussion
about what goes around comes around. For now, please enjoy my theory
of precognition, discuss it, make corrections, tell others, enjoy.
