I'm an attorney.....and she would have a tough time with Breach of Contract.....it was verbal.....and yes, as people like to say, "verbal contracts are binding" but the verbal contract may have violated the statute of frauds and besides she would have had an impossible time proving the terms of the contract since it WASN'T in writing......
