A new story by Maddie Holthe has been posted. It's a lovely Christmas
story, a little late, but you can never have too much Christmas. Or
too much Laramie :-)

Enjoy, and be sure to let Maddie know if you like it so she'll keep on
writing!

This list will no longer be a discussion list. I have decided that it
will immediatly revert back to what it was originally intended for-
updates to the main site only.
I don't have the time or inclination to monitor discussions, approve
memberships (membership approval-something I thought I'd NEVER do- but
crap neccessitated it). I'm weary of being criticized for my strict
rules. My rules are completely out of respect for one person, and I
think we all know who that person is. Other lists allow the types of
discussions that we don't do here. I think we've run out of topics
anyway.
Thanks for participating, those of you who did. You can still remain a
member and get updates to the site, or unsubscribe if you'd like.
Annie (with Jenny lurking somewhere in the background, I'm sure)
No problem, Annie; Thanks.

challenge to endure.....and faceing that supposed near addition of
a "false friend" to his "seeminlyyyyyyyever growing" list......

Thanks Moira,
Now that woman in run to Tumavaca wa the B---ch from Hell ( pardon my
language) But she really kicked our hero's pshycy around and left him
bruised and battered in more ways that one. She became the woman I most
loved to hate in the whole of Laramie

Those two are the definative examples are all that is bad in Jess' life,
although when Jess is shot when looking to help Sargent Billy and has to
trail the bad guys with his wound untreated. Well that suave gambling bad
guy sure was a nasty peice of work as he waited for Jess to secumb to his
wounds so he could take him down. Then he knocks him out just as poor Jess
thinks the cacalry has arrived in the form of Sargent Billy.

I have seen Disaster on the Coastliner twice. Don't unfortunately have a

B.T.W...while you all are looking through your treasured photos and
scrap books for "favourite Jess gals and enemies", is there
anyone...anyone out there at all who has a photo of RF in Wagon Train.
(Kate Parker or Ella Lindstrom story) No it's not the usual ones, not
Coop. Not with Ruta Lee, but apparently there IS an early picture of RF
taken with the Major himself, Ward Bond.
I'd really love to see it...thanks

Hoagy left at the end of Season 1. The scene you describe is from Queen of
Diamonds opening episode to Season 2 and it is just mentioned that Andy is
in school and Jonesy is riding herd on him, obviously Jonesy has left to be
in the big city (St. Louis) with Andy. After that he isn't mentioned again
and we see Andy on and off during Season 2.
Any clearer now Barb?

Hi Happi,
I am no good with names, but what I do recall is that there where quiete a
few episodes at the end of season 2 that where strictly Jess and Slim,
struggling on their own, Jess doing the washing and Slim the cleaning-- I
recall a near fight between the two with chickens round their feet. It is
that that makes me think that Jonesy left the series before the end of

Hi neebee,
How's your car situation coming along? I hope you'll soon be up and rolling
again as in rollin', rolln', Rawhide!, oh, wrong show. But a good one!
Seriously, I do hope your transportation woes are no longer with you.
Good to hear from you. We've missed you and your jewels of wisdom!
Elaine

B.T.W...while you all are looking through your treasured photos and
scrap books for "favourite Jess gals and enemies", is there
anyone...anyone out there at all who has a photo of RF in Wagon Train.
(Kate Parker or Ella Lindstrom story) No it's not the usual ones, not
Coop. Not with Ruta Lee, but apparently there IS an early picture of RF
taken with the Major himself, Ward Bond.
I'd really love to see it...thanks
Hi Happi,
I am no good with names, but what I do recall is that there where quiete a
few episodes at the end of season 2 that where strictly Jess and Slim,
struggling on their own, Jess doing the washing and Slim the cleaning-- I
recall a near fight between the two with chickens round their feet. It is
that that makes me think that Jonesy left the series before the end of
season two. Can anyone out there make my vague memories any clearer

Hi Moira,
Now you know I am hopeless on names. ( I cant even remember my kids names,
let alone their dates of birth!). So which Lartamie female characters did
they play?

Howdy,
The last episode Happi remembers is the one where "Andy" was
boarding the Overland state coach to attend Veternary school,
and "Jonesy" was acompany "Andy" (There are some B & W photos from
this scene where "Andy" is sitting inside the Stagecoach, looking
out the window at "Slim" and "Jess".)...would imagine this
particular episode was the last one of season number 2,
possibly "Widow In White" (Happi could possibly be wrong, since
Happi has not watched the episodes of season 2 in years. Please
feel free to correct Happi if Happi is wrong about the last
episode. Happi would like to know the last episode "Jonesy"
appeared in too)....In reality, Bobby had graduated from Hollywood
High, 1961, and was planning on attending UCLA in the Fall of
1961. "Dragon At The Door" was the first episode of season 3, and
this is when Dennis Holmes joined the cast.
Till the next time, take care.
Happi

Disaster on a Coast Liner - not one of my favorite roles for Bob.
Goodness Barb, there were so many good actresses but I can tell you two of
Bob's favorites - Gena Rowlands and of course Julie London.

Okay, you are right it has been a little quiete. Maybe a question will help.
I believe R.F starred in Disaster on a Coast Liner. I have never heard of
this, Is it any good?
Also, here is one just for fun. Who do you consider the best actress to ever
play opposite Jess in Laramie?

I forgot those ones Elaine. I agree to. My Cinfederate express choice was
because of the emotional hurt the act of betrayal would cause Jess.
off subject slightly. I got your Yahoo invite but I can not seem to set it
up. It keeps insisting on allocating a call sign to me that is my sons
Barb ( definately off to bed now)

I'd have to say off the top of my head that would be Stolen Tribute from season
2 as the number 1. Jan Merlin plays his Nemesis and pretty much kicks and beats
Jess all the way across the desert, sneering all the way. I think his name was
Clay. I would put The Fugitives next for all the reasons you indicated. Then
there is Among the missing, Jan Merlin again pretty much pounds poor Jess again.
You gotta hate that guy, right?
I know you asked for Jess' best enemy. It's hard to mention just the one
character without bringing up the others because Jan Merlin's portrayal of the
characters in each episode pretty much covers evil personified.
