means that we could no longet see dramas there in the America's. I was
in the middle of watching Here Comes Ajumma when the setwork stopped!
The last episode to air was 153 and with the way it ended I just know
there has to be more!! Also Coffee Prince did not finish as well as a
few other shows. I was so sad. I am looking for links to view the
dramas on line or places to purchase them. Unfortunately I only read
english so I need subtitles for my movies.

Well, I am open to suggestions!

Excerpt from Big Girls Don't Cry By Fergie
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It´s time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry

Wow, your local paper!  That has to be really tough.  Where could you get not only your news about the city, but local information about events and such?  Was that the only paper in town?

We used to have 2 newspapers that issued 2 editions daily.  We are not down to one, but we also have 3 smaller free publications.  One Hispanic, one African-American and one general edition.

Well, I will have to start scouring the net for foregin films and international news.

Niya => so jealous and excited for you!

Kimberly => I never had an international channel. It must have been
very nice. You may already know these places but I also need english
subs and I use: www.crunchyroll.com, www.mysoju.com, veoh, youtube &
http://aznv.tv/en/

Except for aznv I think they are all streaming. LOL, I don't really
know technical stuff so I might not have any idea what I am talking
about. There is also a wonderful directory that lists summaries and
links to shows @ http://asiandramaresource2.blogspot.com/

I hope this helped!

-Chris (cmdmce)

P.S. I am moving to Seattle. Anyone familiar with Seattle and know if
there are any stores that rent or sell Asian drama there or if there
are theaters that show Asian films (preferably with English subs)?
Thanks!!!!!

In the same week, both the AZN network and my local daily newspaper shut
down because of difficult economic times. It is no fun at all.

AZN was The International Channel for most of its history. As the world
gets smaller, let's hope someone else will make a new international TV
channel.

Welcome Candace and Jori! If you haven't seen it, another K-Drama I
recommend is My Girl. I thought the main female character was really
funny and kind of goofy.

Re Kimi *^_^* Places to download dramas: I know of places to watch
them but not to download them except for veoh and http://aznv.tv/en/

Did anyone ever buy the manga cookbook? I forgot to keep checking on
its availability because it was taking so long but I just checked and
it is out now! I took a trip to Japan and Taiwan a couple months ago
and it was so nice to eat the food that I see in the dramas. Omurice
was just as good as it looked in Lunch no Joou. I found a Korean
restaurant by my house that is also really. However, I discovered
that, although I thought I could handle spicy food I am a wuss. It's
really spicy!!! I still like it though.

Hope everyone is happy!!!

Hi everyone. Sorry I'm posting this kind of late but I've been busy
this week. My name's Candace and I just started watching asian dramas
this summer. Goong kind of was my first drama. you see i only was able
to watch two of the episodes. so i guess my first full drama was heaven
tree. I'm a huge fan of asian stuff. Korean, Japanese, etc. and i
especially like mangas.

Lead by Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye, Korea's MBC Channel's popular
drama 'Coffee Prince' broadcasted Episode 17 Finale on the 26th
August. Unfortunately, ratings were unable to break 30%, only
reaching 27.7%. MBC has already expressed interest in filming a
sequel, but since Gong Yoo is enlisting for the army within the year,
he may not be able to participate in the sequel.

The night before, Coffee Prince's actors and staff went to some
Charcoal beef restaurant in Seoul for celebration party and to watch
the finale together. On the night, bills were paid by female lead,
Yoon Eun Hye. She and Gong Yoo both really liked 'Coffee Prince';
Yoon Eun Hye said "This drama was natural, simple and honest. On the
filming sites, the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant/cheerful.
Even though I had to cross-dress in the drama, giving up the chance
to pretty myself, it was because of my natural dress up that lead to
even more love from the public."

Gong Yoo says: "I never even thought that the drama's ratings would
be able to border 30%, everyone really likes this drama, Yoon Eun Hye
and I both felt that even if ratings performance wasn't that good, it
definitely is an outstanding drama. During my time filming the drama,
it never felt like I was going to work, more like going to have fun.
It's been a while since I've had fun to this happy extent! So I need
to thank Yoon Eun Hye and the director." Gong Yoo also
announced: "Coffee Prince might be my last work of art/creation
before I serve in the army, even though I've already received notice
that I'm to enlist in October, but it might get postponed. However,
at the lastest, I will still enlist within the year."

Aside from this, a lot of viewers wish for a sequel, even helping the
channel in brainstorming ideas - pointing towards Yoon Eun Hye's
Eunchan to become the 2nd store's boss. MBC also expressed interest
in filming a sequel, but because of Gong Yoo's enlistment he may not
be able to participate

I think it is a good idea if people don't take advantage of it. I
spoke w/ someone about something similar before and the concern was
that people would just keep the dramas. Depending on how it works
out, I think I would be willing to try it.

Season 2 of the hit KBS drama series 'Full House' is in the making.
Park Chang-sik at Kim Jong-hak Production says "Jo Jeong-hwa has been
working on the script for a year and the script is ready for the 3rd
episode so far. Overseas shooting is also under review."

Casting will begin this year and the drama will be filmed and aired
next year. The director has yet to be decided. Park says "The first
series in 2004 was beloved at home, in China and Southeast Asia so that
many Asian broadcasters offered to produce their own series. A well
made season 2 could hit it big at home and abroad. It's unclear whether
Rain and Song Hye-kyo will be recast."
