i already told some people about this i think. i'm trying to write an american idol musical with the songs from seasons 1,2,3 and 4. i was just going to do the first 3 seasons, but the 4th season CD came out and i still haven't started it, so i decided to add the songs from season 4 as well.
anyway, it's like another season of american idol, with 12 contestants (since it's after season 4, it's season 5). i have theme nights for it, and then the idols songs are in it too, like when their just hanging out together or talking about something. i'm planning some things from the actual show, too, like moving into the mansion, FORD videos, things like that.
i could use some help with some things for it so i can start planning it more and hopefully get it done. if anyone knows any of the judges comments from these seasons that you can send me, that would be great. also, if there was anything that happened in the seaons or on tours they went on, too. like on the independant tour (kelly clarkson and clay aiken tour) the scrabble tounament, and JPL "pen salesman" thing, things like that. e-mail me if you have any ideas, or if you would like to know more about it. thanks. ~Jackie

Los Angeles -- Twelve of the most-talked about people in the U.S.A.
perform their signature songs on "American Idol 4: The Showstoppers,"
a new CD released by 19 Recordings/RCA Records on Tuesday, May 17.
The album features individual performances by the top 12 finalists on
the fourth season of America's No. 1 TV series, "American Idol," as
well as their charity single for the American Red Cross, "When You
Tell Me That You Love Me." That single is currently No. 1 on
Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Sales chart.
Renowned record producer Desmond Child helmed the "Showstoppers"
album, with each contestant in the Top 12 singing their finest
performance on "American Idol." The 12 tracks on the album are:
1) "Independence Day," Carrie Underwood. The 21-year-old from
Checotah, OK, performed this Martina McBride song on the 1990's show.
2) "I Don't Wanna Be," Bo Bice. The 29-year-old from Helena, AL,
chose to sing this Gavin DeGraw hit when the theme was songs from
2000-2005.
3) "Best of My Love," Vonzell Solomon. The 21-year-old postal carrier
from Ft. Myers, FL, sang this Emotions smash the night the contestants
selected songs from "The Billboard Book of Number One Hits."
4) "Every Time You Go Away," Anthony Fedorov. Born in the Ukraine,
the 19- year-old from Trevose, PA sang this Daryl Hall & John Oates
original the night the contestants chose songs from their birth year,
while Hall & Oates were in the audience.
5) "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me," Nadia Turner. The theme was
the 1960's the night this 28-year-old from Miami, FL sang Dusty
Springfield's classic hit.
6) "My Funny Valentine," Constantine Maroulis. The 29-year-old from
New York, NY turned into a crooner when he performed this Rodgers &
Hart classic on Broadway night.
7) "Total Eclipse Of The Heart," Jessica Sierra. The 19-year-old from
Tampa, FL chose Bonnie Tyler's biggest hit the night the contestants
sang Billboard's No. 1 hits.
8) "Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)," Scott Savol. The
28-year-old from Shaker Heights, OH, turned to the Phil Collins
songbook on Billboard's No. 1 hits night.
9) "Part Time Lover," Nikko Smith. The 22-year-old from Town and
Country, MO picked one of Stevie Wonder's No. 1 songs on a night when
just the boys performed, trying to make it into the top 12.
10) "A House Is Not A Home," Anwar Robinson. The theme was the 1960's
when the 25-year-old music teacher from East Orange, NJ sang this Burt
Bacharach/Hal David song, first popularized by Dionne Warwick.
11)"Knock On Wood," Lindsey Carindale. The 20-year-old from
Ponchatoula, LA, chose this song first recorded by Eddie Floyd when
the theme was the 1960's.
12) "God Bless The Child," Mikalah Gordon. The youngest contestant at
17, this Las Vegas-born singer made a surprising choice with the
Billie Holiday classic while performing with the girls before making
it into the top 12.
13) "When You Tell Me That You Love Me," American Idol Season 4
Finalists. A No. 2 hit for Diana Ross in the UK, "When You Tell Me
That You Love Me" was chosen by viewers in an Internet poll as the
charity single to be recorded by the top 12 finalists. Released as a
commercial single, "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" moved to No. 1
on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Sales chart for the week ending May 7,
2005.
"American Idol Season 4: The Showstoppers" is the fourth CD to be
released by the top finalists from season 4 of "American Idol." The
first three "American Idol" collections have sold over 2 million
records to date. All three have reached the No. 1 position on
Billboard's Top Soundtracks chart.

top 24.... I instantly fell in love with Judd harris' smile and personality and Jessica's as well... every tuesday night i'd be on the edge of my seat for her to perform.... when the other's were doing great, i always say to myself... "Cmon Jessica, you have to Bring it!" And every tuesday night she did bring it! I was in total shock when jessie got voted off, i cried my eyes off that night.... Other people would critisize her about the way she looks, whether she had no neck or whatever... when she sang her line in Everything is beautiful, it was amazing! "It's time to realize that, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder!" Amazing!!!! Jessica sierra is and will always be my american idol.... I find Jessica beautiful, especially when she dyed her hair black at the ends... Carrie imitated her style, and that sucked! I can't wait for Ai4 to finish so she can sign with a label and I'd be the first in line to buy her cd!!!!! i wish i can watch at least 1 of her concerts, i just want
to hear her voice live!!!! don't get me wrong i want to go to every concert she's gonna have! hahaha Jessica Sierra is the bomb! I loved every song she sang, she really sang songs that were not noticable and i loved that about her! hmmm..... loved what she said too, "for every person that doesn't like you....there's a hundred more that do...." I love her personality... she's like true to who she is ans isn't ashamed....

I will admit that, at the beginning of the show, I really didn't notice her. Back then, Anwar Robinson and Carrie Underwood were really performing well and I was watching them closely. But then by the time we had our 24 finalists, out of nowhere both Bo Bice and Jessica Sierra really started to out-perform all the others -- and I mean REALLY out-perform! And around the same time, Anwar decided to go entirely too unique -- none of his song selections appealed to the voting audience, even though his singing was TECHNICALLY superb, and if no one really likes the song, we're going to be left feeling... well, rather blah. And also, Carrie's true colours began to show -- that is, her singing is great but she
doesn't 'perform' at all, she just kind of stands there (someone check her pulse, please).
And Bo somehow found his groove and really started to shine, but it was Jessica that caught my attention. There was just something absolutely magical about her voice that drew me in, inescapably pulled me in and captivated me. When she was singing, the whole world stopped. I was aware of nothing else in the world but that voice, and I hung on every single note. I was an instant fan -- and have been ever since. Not only is she adorably good looking but she also has the most sweetest personality. Did you read her brief "bio" on the American Idol web site? She said, "I have never been very open with people, other than a very few close friends, so others have always seen me for what I have worked so hard to try to become -- whenever I walk into a room, people see me as an extremely confident person, yet if they only knew what I've had to
overcome to get to this place in my life." So open, pure, honest, so real and so personal. Even when she was ultimately voted off the competition, she had nothing but nice things to say about that, about the judges, including Simon. But on top of all that... is that one-in-a-million voice. Oh my God, what a voice. Sultry, powerful, with a slightly smoky edge to it that somehow managed to add another level of emotion to everything she sang. And always flawless -- she never, not even once, hit a wrong note (although she did forget her lyrics during "Total Eclipse"). And she PERFORMED! Watching her sing, you were convinced she believed in every word of the song, no matter what she was singing. You knew she loved the song, you knew she loved singing and performing, you knew she was enjoying herself. She was made for the stage, for performing.
Like I told a friend of mine, I will purchase any and every CD she ever produces,
by every merchandise I can find, and attend any concert she performs anywhere near where I live. I am completely sold out to Jessica Sierra, and I place all my hopes into that one line she said during the teleconference interview: "You haven't seen the last of me."
I was so taken by Jessica Sierra, so in love with her performing and singing, so devoted as a fan to her talent, that when she was voted off the competition I stopped watching it completely. I have no idea what's going on anymore because I flat-out refuse to give that show another minute of my time. I am strongly protesting. She is my American Idol, and she always will be. I hope she finds a singing career because I really, really need more Jessica Sierra.
Until then, I have MP3s of her performing... *sighs*

I don't only agree, but I also think that wether she is Idol or not, she is going to make it into the music industry. I'll be btying her CD if she releases one. She was and is my favorite of all booted and current idol contestants. Her Total Eclipse performance was spellbinding. I just defenitely think that she has a future. Go Jess!

out-perform! And around the same time, Anwar decided to go entirely too
unique -- none of his song selections appealed to the voting audience,
even though his singing was TECHNICALLY superb, and if no one really
likes the song, we're going to be left feeling... well, rather blah. And
also, Carrie's true colours began to show -- that is, her singing is
great but she doesn't 'perform' at all, she just kind of stands there
(someone check her pulse, please).
And Bo somehow found his groove and really started to shine, but it was
Jessica that caught my attention. There was just something absolutely
magical about her voice that drew me in, inescapably pulled me in and
captivated me. When she was singing, the whole world stopped. I was
aware of nothing else in the world but that voice, and I hung on every
single note. I was an instant fan -- and have been ever since. Not only
is she adorably good looking but she also has the most sweetest
personality. Did you read her brief "bio" on the American Idol web site?
She said, "I have never been very open with people, other than a very
few close friends, so others have always seen me for what I have worked
so hard to try to become -- whenever I walk into a room, people see me
as an extremely confident person, yet if they only knew what I've had to
overcome to get to this place in my life." So open, pure, honest, so
real and so personal. Even when she was ultimately voted off the
competition, she had nothing but nice things to say about that, about
the judges, including Simon. But on top of all that... is that
one-in-a-million voice. Oh my God, what a voice. Sultry, powerful, with
a slightly smoky edge to it that somehow managed to add another level of
emotion to everything she sang. And always flawless -- she never, not
even once, hit a wrong note (although she did forget her lyrics during
"Total Eclipse"). And she PERFORMED! Watching her sing, you were
convinced she believed in every word of the song, no matter what she was
singing. You knew she loved the song, you knew she loved singing and
performing, you knew she was enjoying herself. She was made for the
stage, for performing.
Like I told a friend of mine, I will purchase any and every CD she ever
produces, by every merchandise I can find, and attend any concert she
performs anywhere near where I live. I am completely sold out to Jessica
Sierra, and I place all my hopes into that one line she said during the
teleconference interview: "You haven't seen the last of me."
I was so taken by Jessica Sierra, so in love with her performing and
singing, so devoted as a fan to her talent, that when she was voted off
the competition I stopped watching it completely. I have no idea what's
going on anymore because I flat-out refuse to give that show another
minute of my time. I am strongly protesting. She is my American Idol,
and she always will be. I hope she finds a singing career because I
really, really need more Jessica Sierra.
Until then, I have MP3s of her performing... *sighs*

I have never been more impressed nor more disappointed than I was when
Jessica left the show. She has the most powerful and purest voice I have
heard in the 3 years that I have been watching the show. I have been posting
messages for Jessica on fox.com under the name of budtameez. I would also
like to add that Jessica was the best singer in the competition and cant
believe she was eliminated. I looked forward to watching her the most and it
was so refreshing to hear that powerful voice on Tuesday nights. No other
contestant had 3 performances like Jessica did with Broken Wing, Total
Eclipse and Boys are Back in Town. As a matter of fact everytime I hear
Broken Wing I get choked up still. She would have really shined in the later
rounds when contestants must sing multiple songs, thats when her versatility
would have been displayed. Its sad to see all the other contestants, who
arent have as talented as Jessica, still on the show. America deserves to
see a true talent and what a shame it is that Jessica isnt on the show
anymore. America is really missing out..

But I believe its not the last of her. No matter what, I will be one of her biggest fan. I look foward to see her succeed in her music career and hear her wonderful voice and flash her beautiful smile.

I seldom watch American Idol and when I saw Jessica, things took a
turn for me. I mean I loved watching her on TV and hearing her voice
and when she got voted out, I mean I was so affected to a point I felt
bad going to the office the next day. There is something special
about her which the voters overlooked on March 30. No matter what I
still root for her and I do hope to see her rise to stardom one of
these days.
We are right behind you Jessica...

I can't believe this soulful country singer with the mesmerizing
voice
was voted out of the competition last night! Jessica Sierra's cover
of "On Broken Wings" was simply incredible and far exceeded even the
original version. I replay that night's competion performance often
and would certainly purchase that single if it were to be
released...What about it, Jessica? Do it for the fans?
I hate to say this, but Jessica won't be brought back as a wildcard. They do wildcard at the very beginning of the season. Clay was part of the original TOP 12. America voted for the top 8 in the prelims, then Randy, Paula and Simon brought back their favorites, and America had one more to choose...and they picked Clay.
Unfortunately, the format of this season's Idol is completely different. There were no wildcards because there were 12 girls and 12 guys, and the top 12 was weeded out from that.
I'd like that....that would be awesome! Jessica coming back! but i dont want to get my hopes up though... it'll just break my heart if it never happens, it already did when Jessica got voted off.

Hey everybody,
Don't give up on Jessica just yet. What about her coming back as a wildcard? That is what happened to Clay Aiken when he was on idol. He got booted off then came back as a wildcard. It could happen. What does everyone think? Let me know.

Despite being a favorite of the judges from the beginning, Jessica Sierra found herself in the bottom three two weeks ago and again on Wednesday, when she was eliminated. The 19-year-old from Tampa, Florida, showed diversity with songs like "The Boys Are Back in Town" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart," but Simon was not a fan of LeAnn Rimes' "On the Side of Angels" for her 1990's week selection.
Q: How frustrating is it to get generally positive critiques the entire competition and still be eliminated before nine others?
A: It wasn't frustrating. It was just so sad to go because I just had a phenomenal time, and saying goodbye ... actually, I'm not going to say I said goodbye because I'm gonna see them again for the tour and stuff. But it was hard.
Q: Was "On the Side of Angels" your first choice of songs?
A: Yes it was. I love that song, and I think it has a lot of meaning to it.
Q: Country is your favorite genre, but we rarely heard you sing it. Was that to distance yourself from Carrie Underwood?
A: I love listening to country and I've always sang country music, but I thought coming on the show was a good opportunity to pull out of that whole labeling-me-as-a-country-singer thing. I think I can do much more than country. Every week when we got the different genres, it challenged me.
Q: Was it hard not having your mother [who passed away] here to see you go through this?
A: It was hard, but she is definitely watching down on me and she's very proud of me.
Q: What was going through your mind after you were eliminated and had to perform?
A: I took a deep breath and was like, "I'm not gonna cry," 'cause there's no reason for me to cry. I've had a fantastic time and I've gone onstage each week and done my best every single week. I figured that it was my last time performing on "American Idol," so I wanted to give my best.
Q: What is next for you?
A: I have the "American Idol" tour and album on my plate, and then I plan to pursue this whole singing thing full-force. You've not seen the last of me.
