Hi Cassie, as requested, I'm going to tell you everything that
happens tonight, starting with the layout of the room below….
I'm sitting in the control room so I have a great view of the gate
room below. All the guests are seated, all the officers and soldiers
from the base are standing to attention. The general is at the
podium on the top of the ramp with lots of military officials to his
left. They are all standing as the President comes into the room
with two secret service agents, General Hammond has introduced him
and now he is going up the ramp. Sam and Jack are standing next to
each other at the foot of the ramp with the rest of SG1, they both
look incredible in their dress blues and Hammond looks so proud of
them.

ambassador from each planet present has been up and said something
about Jack. Laira thanked him and Sam for all they had done and then

Garshaw acknowledged how much SG 1 had done for the Tok'ra.
Bra'tac's speech was my favourite; he called Jack a formidable
warrior who would be a great loss to the fight against the Goa'uld.

Tonight has been amazing. At the moment, Garshaw is dancing with
General Hammond, Sam is in Jack's arms as she has been all night
except for when she danced with her father. Becky and Jonas
disappeared a long time ago and the last time I saw your mom she was
leaving with Major Ferretti. For one night, the Jaffa and the Tok'ra
have called a truce, Teal'c has rescued me from the clutches of
Anise.
I think more has been done in the fight against the Goual'd tonight
than has been done in centuries because all of the people who want
to see their downfall have come together on equal terms to celebrate
the career of one amazing man.
When I first met Jack, I thought he was just a dumb military man who
was determined to shoot everything he didn't trust. Sometimes he
drives me up the wall However many times I tell him I am not called
Space Monkey, he just doesn't get it. He can be tactless and pig
headed, but despite it all, the galaxy loves him, and he's my best
friend.
