Hello all:

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I am back from my overseas assignment.  I will not return to work until December.  I am leaving in a few hours to go to New Orleans.  We have some contractors and we will have to see how much can gets done in the two weeks that I can be there.  Everything was lost, but at least the family was safe.  It was sad to see years of possessions lost.  My Aunt and Uncle still can't find the cat or dog, so that is causing major heartache!  They have not been in the home because it flooded to the roof and it is a health hazard.  My son has a few days off from college and will meet me there, so hopefully we can get a lot done.  We were very lucky because we had flood insurance and family to take in the survivors.  It was very hard to go to Iraq and leave the family right after the Hurricane! I had a huge phone bill checking on them.  No Internet access.
Now Iraq is another story.  The people I met are wonderful and very grateful to the United States.  It is a war zone and can be quite frightening at times.  American's are guarded and there is comfort from that. I may have to return in Feb, so I will have to see.  I spent 6 weeks there and I was hoping that would be enough!
Did not have time to check emails,  I will see everyone in December and you can catch me up on what is what.  I have missed Survivor.  I hope someone taped it!

LOL - I like most of them in some way or another.  But Kim is my favorite.  I just LOVE her eyes.  and her hair is awesome too - but I'm an eye person more than anything - and she has awesome, huge, deep eyes.

I thought the same thing about them getting more polished as the season progressed.  And yes, there is so much more to modeling than just standing there.  I could NEVER do that.  I couldn't live in a world where every single flaw you have will be noticed and ridiculed.  Not good for the esteem level.  Besides, I like to eat LOL :)

One note - I do NOT like the guy on the panel.  Can not think of his name - but he's the mean one - dark black - gay and wants to be called a girls' name - I can't think of it right now - but I can't stand  him - he's cruel and there's no need for that............in my opinion.

Ivette and Tush should DEFINITELY check this one out.

is something more to what they do than just stand there for a
picture. And although some people probably think that what the do is
easy they really struggle with this stuff, and they get grilled and
scrutinizied for any little thing the panel notices. I missed the
first episode though but I'm gonna check out the recap to find out
what happened. One of the antm boards gives a very large synopsis of
each episode. Ivette and Maggie(Tush) check this show out on
Wednesday night if are in need of a guilty pleasure. It will
definitely get you to laugh in on way or another.

I have a question, if you don't mind.
I do not know if you have answered this or not.
In your first post on here you said that Maggie broke your heart. What
did you mean by that? I watch the Early Show with you and Maggie and I
could sense some tension. I may be wrong about that.

Hi all!

Lynn, I think we must be living parallel lives :) I also worked the CA election
as an
inspector. I got up at 4 (had some last minute prep to do) to be there by 6 AM
and got
home at 10 PM. Good turnout and for once I had a nice facility and a competent
and team
of clerks. It helped that I set up the polling place the night before so we
weren't stressed
when the lines started forming.

My brother and his partner also want me to go up to the Bay area for
Thanksgiving, but I'm
in the process of job hunting and I don't think it is wise this year. Being self
employed just
isn't paying the bills anymore.

As far as the Amazing Race is concerned, I'd enjoy seeing Ivette do that with
Tush. I'm not
very fond of Beau and I really don't think he'd be good at it.

I've been reading James' forum hosted by TVGrapevine. I don't post on any
boards, but do
contribute news items to a friends blog on AOL. Ivette had some good responses
to
questions posted in her area there. Of course the game now is people bashing
each other.
That gets old fast. But I guess it's par for the course.

Take care,
Chris

Ivette and Tush should do Amazing Race. I think she would be even
more comical on that then her DR sessions on Big Brother. Besides, I
think Tush needs to go with her.

I was wondering the same thing, Ivette, how is it getting back into work?  I hope it make life feel more normal for you.  (or even better)

I worked all day yesterday (6am to9pm) on the election here (California) and I'm exhausted.

But I'm meeting up with a couple of TVCH people, one is a new meeting, and we are going out for yummy Mexican food!  Next week I'm going to Disneyland and CA adventure and Downtown Disney (it is local and I have a season pass)..

And of course Thanksgiving is approaching and I will be travelling to northern calif to visit my brother and SIL and will also be meeting up with other TVCH people in the SF bay area, most ones I've already met one or more times, and looking forward to that very much.

(and hoping we dodge major rain).

We have some low pressure system and it may rain today.

Well, I think Beau and Ivette should talk to the Amazing Race people.. or maybe they can fine some fabulous show to be on and just play off each other.. I'd watch.

Heh, trying to spiffy up after Wilma. This was the first week my campus opened
since the hurricane so there's a lot of cramming to do to finish the semester on
time. Little time for internet.
Hope everyone is well. Ivette, Maggie, and family, I hope you all are okay.

Hey everyone. Hi Ivette.

I thought it was about time to actually join. I have been watching the
boards for sometime now.
I have looked over at James site, and saw the way that they react to
anything that is nice about you, and decided that I would come here
instead. All this negativity is getting a little immature, and I do
not feel like getting involved in that. I figure this is a much safer
bet to show my support for you Ivette.
I hope all is well with you and you are not letting this negativity
get you down.

Love ya...Marky

Hello,
This is my first time posting. I'm Debra and live in S.California! Anyway, I was watching Made also on sunday, and saw Beau. It was the episode where the girl wanted to be a prom queen right? Beau was her personal shopper. I was so shocked when I realized who it was.  I wish we could see Ivette on tv again!!   :(

I've heard this phrase before too...I want to say it was on a
Lifetime movie with Nicolette Sheridan as a woman who's children are
kidnapped by her crazy neighbors. The man says it to the kids to get
them to laugh or something....does this ring a bell with anyone else?
