Want to? Then we want you! Yes, you! To nominate I-Man stories for the
Quicksilver Fan Fiction Awards being held now. Yes, right now.

Find your favorite stories about the Underfunded Five (plus one) and share them
with the rest of the fandom.

For all the information and the rules (you knew there were going to be rules,
right?) head on over to http://homepage.mac.com/axzanier/QSAwards/index.html
and follow the instructions to nominate your favorites. I-Man themed prizes
will be awarded to the winners in each category.

Come on, folks, lets show our appreciation for the tireless work of this
fandom's authors, who spend every free moment typing their fingers to the bone
keeping the welfare child of intelligence agencies alive.

For anyone who is looking for the wallpapers that had been on the scifi.com
Invisible Man website, I now have copies of them up here -
http://homepage.mac.com/axzanier/Menu11.html

These are NOT homemade versions of the wallpapers, but the original ones that I
downloaded ages ago. If you wish to download them, and haven't dealt with a
.Mac homepage before, you click on the image, which opens it in a slideshow
frame. Click on the image in that frame, which will open the fullsize version
of the image in a new browser page. From this image you can right click (or
click and hold, depending on OS) and choose "Download to Disk" or the
equivalent. From there you follow your normal procedure for placing the image
on your desktop.

I do have smaller versions of the Duo and Trio wallpapers, contact me if you
wish a copy of the other size(s).

 Enjoy!

The "Collages" section will be removed as of the end of this month. The
collages were originally used as backgrounds for the 2002 and 2003 I-Man themed
calanders I created.

So, if you would like copies of the images for wallpapers or screen savers,
now is the time to grab them.

For those of you who've had a chance to read the interview with Vince (http://www.invisiblemanonline.com/vince_interview.htm), you know that it is Vince's dream to be able to make an Invisible Man feature film.  If you are interested in supporting that dream, you'll want to know about another new online petition created specifically for the movie campaign.  It's located at http://www.petitiononline.com/imanfilm/petition.html.  I'll have a link to it up on www.invisiblemanonline.com in the near future and I encourage anyone with a site to also put the link up on their site and spread it around to any news groups and boards.

Just as it's important to have both a hard copy petition and online petition for the DVD campaign, the same holds true for the movie.  Now those of you who haven't been able to sign the hard copy petition will be able to sign the online one.  Just like the DVD petitions, the movie petitions will be combined and sent to various PTB who may have influence in getting the movie made.

The downloadable movie petition form is available at www.invisiblemanonline.com and I encourage as many of you as possible to print them out and get everyone you know to sign them and then mail them in.  If you send it in with a drawing form you'll be eligible to win the region-free DVD player and Season 1 UK DVDs.  The contest ends November 30, so there is still plenty of time to qualify to enter the drawing.  Even if you're not interested in winning the prize, signatures are still needed and appreciated.

Thank you for your support and I know Vince appreciates it too.

Pardon this crosspost, but I wanted everyone who may be interested in getting I-Man released on DVD in Region 1 (US and Canada) to know that a new online petition is now available.  The link is http://www.petitiononline.com/imandvd/petition.html.  I encourage everyone who lives in the US and Canada to sign it and spread the link around to everyone you know.

Also, if you haven't signed the petition at http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/ please take a moment to do that also.

In addition, a downloadable DVD petition form is available at www.invisiblemanonline.com for you to print out and get friends, family, coworkers, classmates, etc. to sign.  Mail it in with the drawing entry form and you'll be eligible to enter the drawing for a region-free DVD player and Season 1 UK DVDs.  Complete rules are at http://www.invisiblemanonline.com/drawing_rules.htm

Filled out petition forms, as well as the online petition signatures, will be combined and sent to folks who may have influence over getting I-Man out on DVD.  We need to show them that there are consumers who really want this product.

Thank you,

With less than four days left we still have time to show TV Guide that this talented actor has a supportive fanbase behind him.  Actors such as Dominic Monaghan, Logan Lerman, Teri Hatcher, and Heather Locklear are getting huge fan response, so if you can bid, please do!  Let's get Vince some well-deserved attention!

Hey everyone!

Time for a little news from Comic-Con since I'm sure many of you are dying to hear about it.  First of all, let me say that our I-Man table was a great success.  A lot of hard work went into that table by several fans, but it was sooooo worth it.  The response we got was so very encouraging.  So many people came up to our booth and gushed about how much they loved the show.  That alone made my week.  But there was so much more!

The day before the con, I-Nin and I met Dungeon Dan, one of the nicest and most supportive crew members you could ever want to meet.  He handed off to me three molds of Vince's face that were used in the episode where Darien was turned into an old man.  On top of them was the latex/foam stuff (sorry I don't know the correct name) that is glued to Vince's face.  We placed them in glass cases to show them off and they were quite a talking point as folks came up to look at them and ask what they were.  Vince's chin especially baffled some folks as they looked at it trying to figure out what it was.  :)

Dungeon Dan visited the booth twice during the con, as well as his wife and daughter.  All three of them signed the petition that we had to get I-Man onto the big screen and they all entered the DVD/DVD player drawing.  I guess they really wanted to win! :)

We also had a visit from Jason Makiaris, Matt Thompson and his wife, Kim, which I unfortunately missed because I was taking a break at the time.  But they all signed the petition!  I-Nin and I-Mom can tell you more about their visit since they were there when they showed up.

A real surprise is when Craig Silverstein payed us a visit at the table.  Both he and his wife signed the petition and Craig was kind enough to pose for pictures.  We handed him water bottles and I-Man Pilot comics for both him and Matt Greenburg, which he said he would pass along.

Nikki, who was formerly in casting, was working another booth at the con and was so excited to see us there.  She was constantly sending folks over to our booth to sign the petition.  And at one point she stood in front of our booth and practically pulled everyone and their mother over to our booth to sign the petition!  I seriously wish I could have kept her there during the whole con.  Her enthusiasm and love for the show were contagious!
During the course of the con we met handfuls of folks who had worked on the show as extras, stunt people, in special effects, etc.  They all signed the petition!

The table was quite busy, with folks sometimes lined up three deep waiting to get to the table!  Never did the table go for more than a few minutes without a visitor.
We gave out Darien and Bobby balloons to the kids and had a cool selection of giveaways to thank those who signed the petition.  Many thanks to Suz, Mardel, Alex, Emerald, and I-Nin (I hope I'm not forgetting anyone) who contributed and/or designed magnets, buttons, pins, pens, bookmarks, water bottles, tatoos, etc.  The giveaways were a hit!

Thanks also to J at Perseus Project who contributed copies of signed pics of Vince and the cast, and to Emerald who contributed original signed pics of Michael Welch and Armin Shimmerman.  They made great daily drawings!

On Sunday was the big drawing.  We gave away Season One of I-Man on DVD and a region-free DVD player!  Feeling left out?  Don't worry.  A second chance drawing to win the same exact prize will be starting in the very near future!

We had the Season 1 DVDs displayed as well as a mockup created by Miami Mom.  So many folks were asking about the DVDs, wanting to know where they could purchase them.  Makes ya wonder why TPTB are taking so long to get them out in Region 1, eh?
We also got permission to play the cast interviews from the DVDs on a small TV that was set up on the table.  We rotated that with the intro from the DVDs and the I-Man Comic-Con panel tape from a few years ago.

Beautiful full color postcards designed by Suz and Alex were available for those fans who seemed willing to help out and we encouraged them to take as many as they wanted and mail them in.  We also had brochures and comics to hand out, as well as business cards.

The table came out looking fantastic thanks to the wonderful banners and posters designed by Suz, I-Nin, and Alex.  We even had a life-size Darien!

And I can't forget the darling Hobbesy doll we displayed that was created by Krys.  Like any good artist she put her initials on her work...on his butt!

Over 1,300 people signed the petition during the con.  We even had a Playboy Playmate sign it.   Not too bad for four days work!  It's a great start and there will be more info coming soon on how you can participate and make those numbers increase even more.

Over 170 folks signed up for a new mailing list that will be coming soon on my new website  www.invisiblemanonline.com   and  www.bringbacktheinvisibleman.com.  There's not much on there right now, but I'll be adding a lot more content in the near future.  Please be patient with me.  I'm new to creating websites and I'm learning as fast as I can.

Some interesting and promising contacts were also made at this con and I look forward to seeing if any of them pan out.

All in all, I'd have to say that this table was a rousing success.  It was a lot of work, but so very worth it.

Pictures will be coming soon on various sites and I'm sure I-Mom and I-Nin will be making their own reports, so if I forgot anything or anyone, I'm sure they will catch it.

What a pleasure and priviledge it was to promote I-Man to so many people and see the wonderful support of folks who had worked on the show.  It's an experience that I recommend to everyone.  You'll be exhausted, but happy.

VisBall

I'm in desperate need of some screen captures of Michael Welch who played Adam Reese in Johnny Apocalypse. Krys was able to get me a few pics of Michael (thanks Krys!), but I really need more screen captures of him in his role as Adam on I-Man.

I'm asking for Emerald who is trying to put together collages for Michael to sign next week at Shore Leave. She wants to contribute one of them to the I-Man table at Comic-Con this month. Time is short and I'm desperate!

Can anybody help me? If so, please contact me at invisibleballerina@....

Thank you!

Hi folks!

I'm posting this for I-Nin since she's not a member of these groups.  I-Nin is spearheading a fan table for us at Comic-Con next month!  This is a wonderful opportunity for exposure for our show and fandom at one of the largest conventions in the world.  Over 75,000 people attended last year!

If anyone is interested in helping out we would very much appreciate it.  I-Nin has set up a Yahoo group just for that purpose.  It's located at  http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/imanfan_comiccon2004/

We could use ideas and advice, as well as help designing and printing brochures, flyers, and postcards.  If your handy at finding things on the web, we could use help with comparison shopping in order to find the best prices.  Monetary donations are welcome as this is not a cheap endevour (the table alone was over $600) and every little bit helps, no matter how small.  Donations of swag are also needed.  If you will be in the San Diego area next month, help manning the table is also appeciated.  Heck, we appreciate anything our fellow fans want to help with!

So come join us at this new Yahoo group and help us put together a smashing table that will do the I-Man fandom proud!  Hope to you see there!

In this small screen tale of Mel Gibson's real life
experiences with a brood of boys, the slovenly Savage
brothers are raised by their single dad (Keith
Carradine).

-The Scoop:
Considering Hope & Faith lost steam as the season
progressed, building a new night of comedies around it
will probably not increase ABC's position on Friday
next season.

From The Programming Insider
------------------------------------------------------------------------

ABC in 2004-05

In a considerably more aggressive schedule than
probably any other network, ratings-challenged ABC
will introduce eight new series -- four scripted
dramas (Lost, Life as We Know It, Desperate Housewives
and The Practice: Fleet Street), two sitcoms (Rodney
and Savages), and two reality hours (The Benefactor
and Wife Swap). The network will make changes on six
nights of the week (excluding Saturday, which remains
intact with The Wonderful World of Disney), comedies
have been trimmed from 10 on three nights to eight on
two evenings (Tuesday and Friday), and Alias will be
pushed back until midseason (where it is expected to
return Sunday at 9 p.m.). Also of note is 20/20, which
will air on Friday only with Elizabeth Vargas as the
successor to the departing Barbara Walters.

In a notable sitcom shuffle, My Wife and Kids will
shift from the Wednesday to Tuesday 8 p.m. anchor
position, George Lopez leaves TGIF for the more
adult-oriented Tuesday 8:30 p.m. time period, while
current Tuesday occupants 8 Simple Rules and Less Than
Perfect, both on-the-fence for renewal, will move to
Fridays at 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively. Now
that Friends is history, ABC will open Thursday with
Extreme Makeover (which could, in effect, take a bite
out of CBS' competing Survivor)

With an emphasis on scripted dramas, Grey's Anatomy, a
medical-oriented hour, will air Monday at 10 p.m.
after football season ends, while Stephen Bochco crime
drama Blind Justice will replace the producer's
veteran NYPD Blue after its conclusion. Also in
midseason is private eye drama Eyes with former Wings
star Tim Daly.

Missing from the ABC line-up are sitcoms Life With
Bonnie, I'm With Her and It's All Relative, and now
officially canceled dramas Threat Matrix, Karen Sisco,
10-8, Line Of Fire and Stephen King's Kingdom
Hospital.

What follows is the new ABC schedule, with new series
in bold, a description of each new series and an
analysis of the evening.

Monday
8:00 p.m. THE BENEFACTOR
9:00 p.m. Monday Night Football

*1st Quarter 2005
8:00 p.m. Monday Night Movie
10:00 p.m. GREY'S ANATOMY

THE BENEFACTOR
16 contestants compete for $1 million from billionaire
businessman and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban

-The Scoop:
Considering nothing has worked in the Monday 8 p.m.
hour on ABC since MacGyver, going the reality route is
a wise maneuver. As for Grey's Anatomy in midseason,
the network would be better off leaving reality at 8
p.m. and shifting the movie to 9 p.m. If NBC's LAX
generates any interest (anything is possible with
Heather Locklear) there will be very little audience
left at 10 p.m.

-----

Tuesday
8:00 p.m. My Wife and Kids (new day)
8:30 p.m. George Lopez (new day and time)
9:00 p.m. According To Jim
9:30 p.m. RODNEY
10:00 p.m. NYPD Blue (BLIND JUSTICE in midseason)

RODNEY
Stand-up comedian Rodney Carrington is a down-to-earth
guy who keeps quitting or getting fired from jobs he
hates while performing stand-up in dive bars at night.

-The Scoop:
No matter what comedies ABC airs in the 8 p.m. hour,
and that includes the returning My Wife and Kids and
George Lopez, it will be slim pickings come January if
Fox's American Idol returns to the hour.

-----

Wednesday
8:00 p.m. LOST
9:00 p.m. The Bachelor
10:00 p.m. WIFE SWAP

LOST
Following a devastating plane crash, 48 survivors
scavenge what they can from the plane to survive.

WIFE SWAP
From Who Wants to Be a Millionaire producer Michael
Davies, two families are given the rare opportunity to
witness what it's like to live someone else's life and
experiences.

-The Scoop:
Given Extreme Makeover has generated interest
Wednesday at 10 p.m., the similar appealing sounding
Wife Swap could still potentially find an audience
even if CSI: New York on CBS is pitted against NBC's
Law & Order. It's what you call wise
counter-programming. As for Lost at 8 p.m., consider
it an appropriate title.

-----

Thursday
8:00 p.m. Extreme Makeover (new day and time)
9:00 p.m. LIFE AS WE KNOW IT
10:00 p.m. Primetime Live

LIFE AS WE KNOW IT
Three teenage boys -- a jock, an artist and a
straight-A student - try to survive the difficult teen
years.

-The Scoop:
While you have to give ABC credit for trying to be
aggressive, surviving the teen years is a breeze
compared to Life As We Know It going against CBS' CSI
and NBC's The Apprentice. Patience will have to be a
virtue in this scenario.

-----

Friday
8:00 p.m. 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage
Daughter (new day)
8:30 p.m. SAVAGES
9:00 p.m. Hope & Faith
9:30 p.m. Less Than Perfect (new day)
10:00 p.m. 20/20

SAVAGES
In this small screen tale of Mel Gibson's real life
experiences with a brood of boys, the slovenly Savage
brothers are raised by their single dad (Keith
Carradine).

-The Scoop:
Considering Hope & Faith lost steam as the season
progressed, building a new night of comedies around it
will probably not increase ABC's position on Friday
next season.

-----

Saturday
8:00 p.m. The Wonderful World of Disney

-The Scoop:
Given the fare this season, consider The Wonderful
World of Disney no better than a competing repeat
movie.

-----

Sunday
7:00 p.m. America's Funniest Home Videos
8:00 p.m. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
9:00 p.m. DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (Alias in midseason)
10:00 p.m. THE PRACTICE: FLEET STREET

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES
Reminiscent of Knots Landing, a seemingly perfect
housewife who ends her life takes us into the lives of
her family, friends and neighbors.

THE PRACTICE: FLEET STREET
In this spin-off from The Practice, Alan Shore (James
Spader) and Denny Crane (William Shatner) lead a group
of high-priced civil litigators in an upscale Boston
law firm.

-The Scoop:
Although ABC claims the rough production schedule is
why Alias was pushed back to midseason, let's be
honest -- the critically acclaimed drama has never
been a hit and never will be.

Subject: Update: Las Vegas Gift Basket
invisiblebal...

First of all let me humbly apologize for taking so darn long to get this update to all of you.  When I first took on the Las Vegas gift basket project, I didn't have a clue that I would shortly thereafter begin the process of buying my own home, with all the accompanying paperwork, packing, moving, holding a garage sale, ect.  On top of all that, I had long-term company stay with me for a few months.  Needless to say my life has been hectic!  And while I'm still far from settled in and have some remodeling and decorating to look forward to in the future, I'm trying to get back on track and make some room in my life for I-Man.

When RL began to engulf me and time started to slip by, I knew I wouldn't have time to create a gift basket from scratch.  Fortunately, I happened to find a ready-made gift basket that was done up in shades of quicksilver and counteragent blue.  Instead of the typical basket, this was in a lovely silver/pewter metal container.  It was filled with a nice variety of goodies from smoked salmon to chocolate to tea and much, much more.  It was the perfect basket for a person of the male persuasion.

I-Nin created a fabulous graphic with a short thank you note from the fans.  I've uploaded the graphic to the photos section of the O:VI/Save Invisible Man Yahoo group (http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/operation_visible_ink/) if anybody wants to take a look at her handiwork.  I bought a lovely silver frame and placed the graphic in it.  Then I took off the shrinkwrapping that screamed "store-bought mass production gift basket" and I placed the framed graphic in it.  I then rewrapped it in clear cellophane and reused the lovely blue and silver ribbon to finish it off and give it more of "custom boutique" look, which is what I always strive for with my gift baskets.  It turned out beautiful and I have the pictures to prove it!  Only thing is my disposable camera (Yes, I own a home, but not a decent camera. Weird, eh?) is packed away in a box somewhere and I haven't found it yet.  When I do, I'll be sure to post the pictures.

The gift basket went out to Greg Yaitanes quite a while ago, but I didn't want to wait any longer to give you an update on this project.  And I wanted to send a special thank you, thank you, thank you to those of you who chipped with your time, talent and/or money to make this possible.  You chipped in enough to pay for half the costs and I really appreciate it (buying a home in the San Francisco Bay Area is not cheap).  I was hoping to send a basket to "Las Vegas" creator Gary Scott Thompson also, but I had a heck of a time trying to track down his address.  After quite a while I finally found a source, but they charged for the info!  By then too much time had passed, so I decided against paying their fee.

However, Greg got a gift basket and he is one guy who definitely deserves it since he not only brought Vince and Paul together in "Las Vegas," but was also responsible for getting our favorite guys guest roles in other shows.  Gee, ya think our invasion of his SciFi Channel sponsored chat a while back may have made an impression on him??? *grin*

Anyhoo, a big thanks again to those who chipped in and helped.  Because of you, we were able to say thank you from the "fans" of "The Invisible Man" and not just a "fan."
