I'm having trouble using my Icom ID-800H data socket after a recent
shack move. Previously, I was using the connection with the dchat
software successfully, but now it doesn't seem to be working. I've
checked and double checked the settings of both the serial port and
the radio itself, nothing seems amiss.

Is there a way to test external devices like this? And if it needs a
repair can someone recommend a good service shop for this rig? It's
out of warranty...so fast service and professional results would be
the main goal.
