NEW HORIZON WEBSITE ONLINE - Tuesday 8th September 2009

This is a short explanation for the Horizon site's closure and relocation.

Last week an extremely serious malicious attack on the old site was made. We
took the decision to shut the site down immediately until we could be certain
that we had a completely safe environment for our users. We could find no trace
of any malware in the form of trojans etc, nor could we find anything that
suggested the site presented a direct security risk to our members. Offline and
online scans could find no trace of any kind of malware. However, we were aware
that the old site had been severely compromised.

For some time we'd wanted to upgrade to a newer version of our CMS, so the new
site is running the very latest and most secure version of PHP Fusion on a new
server provided by a different web host. Despite all the time and effort that
had gone into the old site - by both staff and members - we have decided not to
attempt to restore the old database to the new CMS. Although this means we are
more or less starting the site again from scratch, by taking this option we can
be absolutely sure that nothing unpleasant from the attack has migrated with us.

We hope you will all agree with us that the need for site and data security far
outweighs the annoyance of having to recreate the Horizon site and online
community. Anyone who was a site member of the old Horizon website will need to
re-register on the new site. Full instructions are on the site and we hope to
see you there soon.

Please join us at http://www.blakes7online.com

And I'm sure you'd like to join me in thanking my hardworking and very talented
team who have toiled away harder than the miners on Silmarillion to bring this
new and better than ever website to you. Thanks Judith (Website Mutoid) and Rob
(Decima) for all your hard work.

- Diane (Supreme Commander)
Horizon Co-Ordinator

PS Ironically the yahoo group bulletin has a pre-set 'footer' which directs
you to the OLD Horizon site URL and I have no idea how to change it! So please
disregard that bit of the information and be sure to visit our new home at
www.blakes7online.com

PAUL DARROW

Paul can be seen as High Court Judge John Prentice in at least two episodes of
the new high profile ITV1 series Law & Order UK.

Paul's first appearance as Judge Prentice is in episode 4 'Unsafe', broadcast
Monday 16th March 2009 at 9pm (repeated Wednesday 18th at 10.35pm) on ITV1.

In a new 13-part series for ITV1, this is the British version - set in London -
of the enduringly popular US crime drama - now in its nineteenth season. The
format of the show is that it is split into to halves - the first half is a
police procedural and the second half takes you to the courtroom. Each episode
begins with a crime (usually a murder), which is then investigated by the police
usually ending in an arrest, followed by the court proceedings where the
prosecutor attempts to get a conviction against the person responsible. The
scripts for the UK version are specially adapted versions from the original US
show scripts.

The cast - Bradley Walsh plays the chief cop DI Ronnie Brooks, with his partner
DS Matt Devlin, played by Jamie Bamber. Their boss is DI Natalie Chandler,
played by Harriet Walter. On the legal side are James Steel (Ben Daniels) the
leading prosecutor, with his assistant Alesha Phillips (Freema Agyeman). Their
boss is George Castle (Bill Paterson) who is head of the Crown Prosecution
Service for London.

BBC1.

UPDATE - SECOND OUTING - A group of Horizon members braved the snow on preview
night (4th Feb) and were rewarded by a very memorable evening - a thought
provoking play, combining excellent acting & staging with moments of humour,
sadness and surprise in equal measure. Jacqueline was superb in the role of
Amanda, and joined our group after the show for drinks and conversation until
late. Unfortunately, not everyone who wanted to come was able to make it that
night, so a second group outing has been set for the 5pm performance this coming
Sunday 15th February. Jacqueline will again be happy to meet and chat with us
all in the bar after the show. Please email Diane (horizonb7@...) or
Mina (mina.mina@...) know as soon as possible if you'd like to join
us. (There are no set seats, and there's no booking fee to book via their
online ticketing service so we suggest you make your own bookings ASAP (very
small theatre) and liaise with Mina/Diane regarding meeting up on the day.
We're suggesting meeting up around 3pm so we have time to chat beforehand, and
after the show (around 7.30pm) we'll meet up with Jacqueline in the bar.

it. And Deborah Morris, the Hollywood star, is here for the same reason. In fact
their revelations could transform everyone. Guy is about to find out that the
best way to get grounded is actually by taking a giant leap...

from the prospective in-laws imminent, they all decide to take drastic action to
hide their lifestyle...but can they keep it up?

Jerry Herman's (Hello, Dolly!, Mack and Mabel and Mame) fabulous score includes

MEET JACQUELINE PEARCE - SATURDAY 25th OCTOBER 2008

12 noon - 4pm - TIGER TIGER, Haymarket (nr Piccadilly Circus) London W1

Back in April 2006, when Jacqueline Pearce left the UK to spend 8 weeks in a
tent as a volunteer on a sanctuary for orphaned Vervet Monkeys in Africa, little
did she know that this was to be a life-changing experience. Those of you who
have been following her 'Blog' on her website at http://www.jacquelinepearce.com
will have read, in her own inimitable style, how she fell in love with the
monkeys, the sanctuary, the people and Africa itself and despite some truly
frightening experiences (including rather carelessly setting her tent on fire!)
she realizes she has found her spiritual home and a purpose and inner peace that
she had unknowingly been searching for all her life.

Apart from brief visits to London she now knows that her real home is in Africa,
to be precise at the Vervet Monkey Foundation, Tzaneen, South Africa (about 90
minutes from the world famous Kruger National Park) looking after her adorable
and enchanting babies whose spirit, intelligence and unconditional love have
made her happier and more alive than she has ever been.

Although Vervet monkeys are not an endangered species, they are 'at risk' and
before the establishment of the Foundation in 1993 very little was known about
them and they were treated as vermin by the local people (hard to believe when
looking at the photos - they are SO adorable, but there you are!) The Vervet
Monkey Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Tzaneen in the Limpopo
Province of South Africa. From looking after a few orphans on an ad-hoc basis,
they now rehabilitate and provide sanctuary to over 700 Vervet monkeys,
orphaned, injured, abused, ex-laboratory or unwanted pets, as well as providing
a facility to research the life style and environment of the species, and a
far-reaching and ever growing educational and conservation program. The
Foundation is run by a small core group with an ever growing army of eager
volunteers who come out to help for anything from a month to a year, preparing
food, feeding, cleaning, maintenance, and much more besides. You can read more
about the Foundation, the Vervets and information about volunteering on their
website at http://www.vervet.za.org

Over the last 18 months it has become apparent that with the ever increasing
number of Vervets needing help, a new direction is needed and the plan is to buy
land to create a Vervet forest where they can live out their lives free as
nature intended, but in a safe and protected environment. To make this a
reality they are looking to raise an initial £150,000 for the Vervet forest,
plus vets, veterinary medicines, construction workers etc. That said, the need
for money is constant, because even when the forest has been established they
will still need to rehabilitate new monkeys at the Sanctuary before they can be
released into the forest.

Jacqueline has been back in London helping to raise much needed funds for this
wonderful project and raising the Foundation's profile with the media. To this
end the Foundation, supported by the Great Primate Handshake organization (see
http://www.primatehandshake.org/ for further information) have arranged an
afternoon of education and entertainment this coming Saturday, 25th October.
Jacqueline will be giving a presentation about her life with the Vervets, and
the wonderful work being done by the Foundation. There will be slides and
photos, and the opportunity to find out more about the Vervets, and other
endangered primates as well as meet and talk to Jacqueline who will be signing
autographs to raise funds for the Vervet Forest project.

This is a unique opportunity - don't miss it - be at Tiger Tiger, Haymarket
(Piccadilly Circus), London from 12 noon - 4pm - SATURDAY 25th OCTOBER 2008.

You will have the opportunity to make a donation to the fund by buying a
wonderful photo of Jacqueline and Ampie - one of her 'babies', which Jacqueline
will personally sign for you. Minimum donation £5 - every penny raised with
this beautiful photo will go direct to the Vervet Forest fund.

For those of you unable to be there in person, Horizon will have signed copies
available for sale through the website. Minimum donation £5 plus p&p £1.50
(UK); £2.00 (Europe) or £2.50 (ROW) Postage & packing will be free if bought
with other Horizon photos or merchandise suitable for the photo to be packed
with (books, zines, DVDs, other photos.) Every penny donated for this photo
will go direct to the Vervet Forest fund so please do buy one and spread the
word. Anyone placing their order before this Friday 24th October can have their
photo personally dedicated by Jacqueline, otherwise the signature will read
'Love Jacqueline Pearce & AMPIE'

See a short video clip of Jacqueline promoting the fund-raising here
http://www.horizon.org.uk/jpsept08a.wmv

And see the news item on the website at http://www.horizon.org/uk to see their
advertising poster, the Jacqueline & Ampie photo, and much more...

JACQUELINE PEARCE

Jacqueline will be playing Amanda in 'Fuchsia' by Matthew Westwood at the White
Bear Theatre Club, Kennington, London SE11 from 3/22 February 2009.

'Fuchsia' is a brand new play by Matthew Westwood. He had always wanted
Jacqueline to play the part of Amanda - a woman who runs a certain type of
nightclub and to whom others are drawn, like moths to a flame - even before
meeting her, but after they met he decided to completely re-write the play to
expand the part of Amanda, knowing there was no-one else who could possibly play
her. Jacqueline was so flattered by this, and so impressed with the play, that
she agreed to return to the cold British winter away from her beloved monkeys to
play the part.

Office 020 7328 1000. http://www.tricycle.co.uk/htmlnew/index.php

The hilarious story behind the re-writing of the film GONE WITH THE WIND.Movie
mogul David O. Selznick has just shut down production of Gone With The Wind.
Determined to rewrite the script, he engages the reluctant services of "script
doctor" Ben Hecht, who has never read the book, and director Victor Fleming,
poached straight from the set of The Wizard of Oz. His reputation on the line,
and with nothing but a stockpile of peanuts and bananas, Selznick locks the
three men into his office and a marathon creative session begins... Funny and
moving - an insight into 30's Hollywood and an epic of laughter. Nominated for a
Whatsonstage.com Award for Best New Comedy 2007.

STEPHEN GREIF

Stephen will be playing Claude Denizet, the senior UN Negotiator in talks
between the Israelis and the Palestinians in episode 6 of the forthcoming series
of 'Spooks' for the BBC.

Stephen has just recorded an Afternoon play for BBC R4 called 'The Facemaker'

Guide' playing the Chef who guides you along with cooking recipes, which has
apparently become a hit all over the world!

Who documentary called 'The Cold War' in a forthcoming Doctor Who DVD release
'Attack of the Cyberman'.

The film 'Shoot on Sight' in which Stephen plays Commander John Shepherd will
have its worldwide theatrical release on 25th July 2008. Shoot On Sight is a
fictional story based on London Police order to shoot suspected terrorists after
the July 7th 2005 London bombings. For more information about the film, go to
the movie website http://www.shootonsightthemovie.com/

GLYNIS BARBER

Glynis will be playing Jean McAteer in the ITV series 'The Royal'. Filming will
take place between July and September in Yorkshire, for broadcast early 2009.
ITV's drama series "The Royal" is a spin off from Heartbeat. Like ITV's
Heartbeat, The Royal is set in the swinging 60s. "The Royal" is a medical drama
which evokes memories of older medical dramas made in the 60s such as "Emergency
Ward Ten". The setting is St Aidan's Royal Free Hospital in Elsinby. Elsinby is
a seaside town. Most of the filming takes place in Scarborough.

Glynis's husband, Michael Brandon, was seen in the penultimate episode of
'Doctor Who' as UNIT's sadly rather short-lived General, bravely giving his life
to allow Martha Jones to escape and save the universe.

SAD NEWS - actor BRUCE PURCHASE has died.

We were very sorry to learn of the death of Bruce Purchase, aged 69, on 5th June
2008 at his home in Putney, South London. Apart from his Blake's 7 role as Gola,
he was best known to SF fans as the evil half man, half machine Captain in the
1978 'Doctor Who' 4-part story 'The Pirate Planet', in which he starred opposite
Tom Baker's Doctor. Our deepest sympathy to his partner, Sara Hebblethwaite, and
to all his family and friends.

REMEMBERING PETER TUDDENHAM

One year ago today, on 9th July 2007, the world of Blake's 7 lost Peter
Tuddenham, who passed away at the age of 88. Peter was so much more than just
the voices of Zen, Orac and Slave (and many more besides in his long and varied
career.) Peter was a much loved husband to Rosemary, and father to Mark and
Julian, and a much loved friend to all the cast and crew of Blake's 7. He loved
meeting and hearing from fans of the show, and was a popular guest at
conventions in the UK and overseas.

We at Horizon still mourn his loss, but celebrate a life well-lived and will
remember him with great fondness today - on the anniversary of his death - and
always.

- Diane

Written by Ron Hutchinson and directed by Sean Holmes, this is the hilarious
story behind the re-writing of the film 'Gone With The Wind'. Movie mogul David
O. Selznick has just shut down production of Gone With The Wind. Determined to
rewrite the script, he engages the reluctant services of "script doctor" Ben
Hecht, who has never read the book, and director Victor Fleming (Steven Pacey),
poached straight from the set of The Wizard of Oz. His reputation on the line,
and with nothing but a stockpile of peanuts and bananas, Selznick locks the
three men into his office and a marathon creative session begins...

Paul Darrow on TV 8th June 2008 + helps Jack FM win Silver at Sony Awards 2008

TV: Paul will be a featured interviewee on '50 Greatest TV Endings' hosted by
Cilla Black, to be broadcast on Sky One on Saturday 8th June 2008. No prizes
for guessing the TV ending he will be discussing.

RADIO: Paul and the 106 JACK fm Radio team were at the annual Sony Awards at
Grosvenor House Hotel, London on 12th May for the annual Sony Radio Academy
Awards, as JACK fm had been nominated in the category Best Station Imaging, one
of the Production awards.

This category is designed to recognise the overall sound of a station or
network. Rather than any specific programming style, the judges consider the
effective selection and co-ordination of liners, jingles, trailers and other
presentation tools in establishing a distinctive audio brand or identity.

The judges obviously agreed with us that having Paul as the 'voice' of JACK fm
was indeed inspired casting as they won the Silver Award, saying: Great writing
that conveys a huge number of ideas, always fresh yet always on-brief and highly
talk-able; just what you need when you're new on the dial. Inspired casting of
Paul Darrow and lovely voice direction of his performance.

Listen to 106 JACK fm here http://www.jackfm.co.uk/public_file.php

See the Horizon website news item for more about the awards, the ceremony and to
see a photo of Paul with comedian Al Murray taken at the awards.

Brian Blessed was this week's Guest Presenter on 'Have I Got News For You' on

using the BBC iplayer for 7 days after the broadcast (or up to 30 if you

The 'odd one out' round showed a Blake's 7 publicity photo, with discussion
about the proposed revival. Brian then reveals that he appeared in Blake's 7 as
Vargas and a clip was shown. Great fun - catch the repeat or watch on i-player.

Proposed Blake's 7 Revival hits the news as SKY commissions scripts...
News hit the UK National Press on 24th April 2008 that SKY has commissioned
scripts for two x 60-minute pilot episodes which, if successful, will be
expanded into a series. Sky has suggested a 6-part series, though other sources
suggest that an American backer of the project would prefer this to be longer
(13 or more episodes.)

This proposed TV series would be a re-imagining of the original series, as were
the new audio adventures produced in 2007 by B7 Productions. Andrew Mark Sewell,
co-founder/producer of Blake's 7 Media, told Horizon (during a conversation at
the October 2007 Cult TV Festival) that each production would have its own
distinct identity, with the proposed new TV series being different from the
audio adventures, which were themselves a re-imagining of the original TV
series. However, he did say it was possible that some of the new audio series
cast might reprise their roles for the TV re-imagining.

The news has sparked much debate in the Horizon website forums, see/join in the
discussion

HORIZON GET-TOGETHER
Well, it looks like our first official 'Get Together' day in several years is
turning into a whole weekend with 2 Blake's 7 cast members directing plays on 10
& 11 May!! Horizon used to have regular meet-ups and theatre outings and they
really were a lot of fun, where old and new fans could get together. Many
long-time friendships were made and I hope some more of our 'old timers' will
come along on 10th and/or 11th May to show the newer fans how to party...

SUGGESTED TIMETABLE - SATURDAY 10TH MAY 2008:
Those who already have tickets for 'To Kill A Mockingbird' should meet at the
Tricycle by 3.30pm for the 4pm show. (Theatre has now sold out for the
performance)

Those who are meeting up for the meal/drinks/talking into the night should aim
to get to the theatre by around 5.30. If Sally's not too frantically busy,
hopefully there will be a chance to say 'hello' to her before we go off for our
meal and she goes back to direct the second performance of the day.

SUGGESTED TIMETABLE SUNDAY 11TH MAY 2008
Meet up from 1.30pm for a light lunch (or just drinks if you're not hungry)

Anyone wanting to see the show - we're going to the 5pm performance of 'The
Miniaturists'. NOTE: The theatre is very small and only had 50 seats left when
I called yesterday - they aren't able to reserve seats (no seat numbers, first
come first served) so if you'd like to join us PLEASE BOOK YOUR OWN TICKETS AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE. You can call the box office or book online. Arcola Theatre,
Hackney - Box Office: 0207 503 1646. http://www.arcolatheatre.com All tickets
are £9 (or £7 concessions)

After the show hopefully a chance to meet Brian & Christina before we go off for
more eating/drinking/talking.

Please let us know if you'd like to join us on one or both of the days, and that
you've booked your tickets if you want to see the Miniaturists.(Remember, you
can still join us for the get-together(s), even if you don't want to see the
shows.)

MORE ABOUT 'THE MINIATURISTS'
The Miniaturists is a growing group of playwrights and other theatre workers
interested in the possibilities of the short play. They stage a regular
writer-led event dedicated to bringing you short but perfectly formed plays.
Every show is packed with 5 original pieces from an array of talented writers,
new and established. Each piece is no longer than twenty minutes, and the
dizzying mix makes every event as various and unpredictable as life itself.

The productions are fully staged, using lighting and sound design, and the
actors are in costume, and in every respect a miniature<i> is </i>a play. They
usually play on a Sunday on the set already in place for the current production
at the host theatre.

SALLY KNYVETTE

The Tricycle Theatre presents a company of professional barristers, solicitors
and judges in 'To Kill a Mockingbird', adapted by Christopher Sergel from the
novel by Harper Lee and directed by Sally Knyvette. Performances 07 to 10 May
2008.

Harper Lee's Pulitzer-prize winning novel was made into a major motion picture
starring Gregory Peck (for which he won an Academy Award) in 1962. It is a
story of racial prejudice, injustice and humanity and is now presented as a
powerful piece of theatre.

In 1930's America in a small town in the Deep South, lawyer Atticus Finch
defends Tom Robinson, a man accused of rape. Atticus shows himself a man of
integrity and risks his own and his family's safety to do the right thing in the
face of racism. His children, especially daughter Scout, make a journey of
discovery about their father, their neighbours and the community they live in.

This is the fourth of the Tricycle's much-acclaimed productions cast entirely
from the legal profession. All proceeds from these performances will go towards
the Tricycle new writing and education programmes (apart from Thursday evening
when the money is split between the Tricycle and the Corinne Burton Memorial
Trust.)

HORIZON GROUP OUTING TO THE TRICYCLE - Saturday 10th May 2008

In the past Horizon was known for encouraging fans to meet up for theatre
outings and signing events featuring members of the Blake's 7 cast or crew, and
for organizing fan-events such as video/DVD watching sessions, location visits
or just meeting up for a drink and/or meal to get to know other fans. Since
setting up the new website we've had many requests to organize more and we hope
this will be the first of a series of fan get-togethers to celebrate the show's
30th anniversary.

We've reserved some tickets for the Saturday matinee performance of 'To Kill a
Mockingbird' (tickets £25) so if you'd like to join us, please let us know as
soon as possible either by PM to Horizon, or to the horizonb7 email address.
The intention is to see the show, hopefully to have a little time to say hello
to Sally (this isn't guaranteed, remember she's directing two shows on the
Saturday, so she may be too busy for a chat) and then to all go off to a local
restaurant for dinner and to socialize and to meet up with members from
Horizon's past along with many new members. If there are people who can't make
the show but would like to meet up afterwards to eat and drink the rest of the
evening/night away, that's fine too - please just get in touch and we'll tell
you more.

If you have fond memories of past Horizon theatre outings, please do share your
memories with the new fans and encourage them to meet up.

JAN CHAPPELL FILM SCREENING 27 January 2008

Jan appears in and has been involved in the making of 'Low Tide' which was
filmed in Kent, and has just let me know the details of the UK premier which
will be next Sunday 27th January 2008 at 2pm at the Curzon Cinema, 9 Shaftesbury
Avenue, London W1. Jan will be happy to say hello to any B7 fans who are there
on the day.

Following the UK Premiere of Low Tide, director Jon Sanders and writer James
Leahy will discuss Sander's work as well as his recently published Belgrade
Manifesto.

To book tickets call 0871 703 3988 (There is a £1.00 fee for online bookings
and a £1.25 fee for telephone bookings. There is no booking fee for Curzon
members.)

LOW TIDE (advised 16)
Director: Jon Sanders
Starring: Anna Mottram, Charlotte Palmer, Richard Vanstone, Jan Chappell, Bob
Goody
UK 2007 / 86 mins / Digibeta
Low Tide explores notions of life and death through the final days of a
terminally ill woman in a starkly beautiful and hauntingly amusing manner. With
an entirely improvised script and a pared-down production system, the film
pieces together single takes (shot in natural light) to counter the glossed
perfection of Hollywood. Shot on a minimal budget, Jon Sanders' poignant film is
a reminder that cinema has further uses than lining pockets, and will stay with
you long after you left the cinema. At this premiere, Sanders joins writer
James Leahy to discuss the film as well as the ailing future of independent
cinema in the hands of the industry's conglomerate distribution systems.

The Belgrade Manifesto: "Although there are an ever increasing number of
conferences about the changes that will inevitably come with "new digital
cinema", what is being ignored is the long term stagnation of cinematic language
and form and the consequent lack of innovation and depth which are essential to
keep cinema alive. We are at a crossroads where low cost production and new ways
of distribution have real potential for the rejuvenation of cinema. We believe
that it is time to take responsibility our own future and establish a committed
interactive community that can work together to find viable ways to make and
show films and build audiences that will want to see them." Jon Sanders

The Play: Set against the harsh backdrop of the Great Depression, Of Mice and
Men is the story of George and Lennie, two friends with a simple dream: to own a
farm and live off the fat of the land. There are times, though, when sharpwitted
George feels the burden of looking after Lennie, while gentle giant Lennie
doesn't realise his own strength... As they drift from job to job, trouble's
never far away, and before long it's time to move on again. When the pair get
work in Soledad, California, however, the dream looks set to become a reality.
But a tragic turn of events threatens to destroy George and Lennie's friendship
and leaves George faced with an impossible choice...

In March Gareth will be recording another episode of the Paul Temple series, for
Radio, again playing the Chief Inspector. More details on this to follow.

The critically acclaimed short film trilogy, written by Tim Plester and directed
by Ben Gregor, Blake's Junction 7, 'Ant Muzak' and World of Wrestling arrives on
DVD on January 21st 2008.

All three hilarious films share a common theme - the surreal colliding with the
mundane.

Imagine a Twilight World in which the colourful icons of yesteryear might find
themselves drifting through modern-day suburbia at 2am on a weekday morning.
Imagine sci-fi freedom-fighters Blake's 7 stopping off at a motorway
service-station (BLAKE'S JUNCTION 7). Imagine New Romantic popstars Adam & The
Ants browsing the aisles of a 24-hour supermarket ('ANT MUZAK'). Imagine
old-school wrestlers Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks bumping into each other on
the night-bus home (WORLD OF WRESTLING).

Quirky, heartfelt and flamboyantly deadpan, Ben Gregor and Tim Plester's trilogy
of short films have screened at film festivals worldwide and feature a host of
charming performances from the cream of British comedy; including Mackenzie
Crook (THE OFFICE), Martin Freeman (THE OFFICE), Mark Heap (GREEN WING), Kris
Marshall (MY FAMILY), Raquel Cassidy (LEAD BALLOON), Miranda Hart (HYPERDRIVE),
Patrick Baladi (THE OFFICE), Kevin Eldon (BIG TRAIN) and Johnny Vegas (IDEAL),
as well as offering tantalising cameos from former Adam & The Ants bass-player
Gary Tibbs and Blake's 7's "voice-of-the- computers" Peter Tuddenham.

Complementing the three short films, this fantastic DVD also offers a whopping
55 minutes of extras, including behind-the-scenes features on all 3 films, a
commentary on BLAKE'S JUNCTION 7 with Paul Darrow & Mark Heap, "The 2 Avons" an
exclusive interview with Paul Darrow & Mark Heap, a Mackenzie Crook interview,
and a Peter Tuddenham recording session, as well as trailers, unused footage and

STEVEN PACEY
Steven plays Victor Fleming in 'Moonlight & Magnolias' alongside Duncan Bell,
Josephine Butler and Andy Nyman at the Tricycle Theatre, 269 Kilburn High Road,
London NW6 7JR. Box Office 020 7328 1000 .

Written by Ron Hutchinson and directed by Sean Holmes, this is the hilarious
story behind the re-writing of the film 'Gone With The Wind'

Movie mogul David O. Selznick has just shut down production of Gone With The
Wind. Determined to rewrite the script, he engages the reluctant services of
"script doctor" Ben Hecht, who has never read the book, and director Victor
Fleming (Steven Pacey), poached straight from the set of The Wizard of Oz. His
reputation on the line, and with nothing but a stockpile of peanuts and bananas,
Selznick locks the three men into his office and a marathon creative session
begins...

See the Horizon website at www.horizon.org.uk for more information, and pictures
from the show...

SALLY KNYVETTE
Sally will be directing 'To Kill a Mockingbird' at the Tricycle Theatre in early
2008, and is about to start directing a production for BADA (British American
Drama Academy) for the next few months.

TELEPORT BRACELETS
Martin Bower, the freelance model maker who designed, built & owns the copyright
to the 'Liberator' bracelets is currently making another limited edition run of
bracelets. You can buy these through Horizon, but Martin is only making a
limited number to order - and it is unlikely there will be many 'spares'. The
last time Martin made a batch was in spring 2004, so don't miss this rare
opportunity to own one - still a few remaining so order now... See the Horizon
website for full information.

JOSETTE SIMON
Josette Simon guest stars as Linda Hillcott in Episode 3 of ITV1's new drama
series 'The Whistleblowers'. The episode is entitled 'No Child Left Behind' -
Josette's character is grief-stricken after her son's suicide, but is eventually
galvanised into exposing how his school drove him to it. The series starts on
Thursday 27th September, 9pm on ITV1 so presumably Josette's episode is on 11th
October - watch out for it.

29th SEPTEMBER 2007 - 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST DAY OF FILMING BLAKE'S 7, AT
BETCHWORTH QUARRY plus chance to LISTEN AGAIN to Gareth Thomas and Michael
Keating's interview about the quarry on Radio 4's LIGHTS, CAMERA, LANDSCAPE.

In autumn 2006 Gareth Thomas and Michael Keating were interviewed for Lights,
Camera, Landscape: Betchworth Quarry, Surrey (3rd of 4 programmes about
landscapes) where they revisited the quarry and talked about filming there.

Originally broadcast on 21 December 2006, Radio 4 have just repeated the
programme, though it's probably a coincidence that it almost coincides with the
30th Anniversary of B7 filming there. If you missed it, you can Listen Again
until Monday 24th September.

The link comes up as the wrong episode in the blurb on the Radio4 website, but
it does play the correct one, so keep listening...

Horizon Website's 1st Birthday Celebrations -Tuesday 4th September 2007 is the
First Birthday of our new-look Website, so we hope you'll all join us on our
birthday to help us celebrate at http://www.horizon.org.uk

It's quite exciting to see how many people have visited (close to half a million
'unique visitors') with almost 800 registered site members, and all for a show
made 30 years ago!

There will be several new items going live during the day including a birthday
message from one of the main B7 cast, and a free prize draw with some fabulous
prizes. To enter the draw, all you need to do is log onto the site sometime
during our birthday and post on the 'Happy Birthday Horizon Website' thread in
the forum. Everyone whose message is posted on the day will have their name
entered into the draw.

The Discussion Forums have proved very popular throughout the year, with close
to 13,000 posts and we hope more of you will join in the fun during Year 2. We
also hope to expand our downloads section with wallpaper, more audio and video
clips, etc. And don't forget you can still download our brilliant full B7
cursor pack designed by Rob Emery available in the Members Only Downloads
section. (It's free to register as a site member.)

Sadly, during the past 12 months we have lost some very special members of the
B7 universe - most notably Peter Tuddenham in July. As a Tribute to those we
have recently lost, we're planning an auction of several rare and/or signed
items to raise money for charity. Look out for the auction news on the site.

So let us raise a glass of adrenaline and soma to those no longer with us, and
thank them for all the pleasure they gave us, and let's hope the site's Second
year will be a happy, healthy and successful one for us all. We'd really like
to hear from you all to let us know what you like about the site, anything you
don't like that we could improve, and what you might like us to do in the coming
year.

Thanks for all your support.

Best wishes from Diane (Supreme Commander), Judith (Website Mutoid) and all at
Horizon.
