"Evil women - is that what you want? Is that what you want to see?"In a small
village in the 17th Century, one young woman's sexual rebellion sparks the
scapegoating of the entire sex. Questioning, progressive, hysterical or ageing,
every woman fears for her life in the fierce witch-hunt which ensues. Tonight,
your cabaret hosts invite you to discover an equally dark but altogether
different world. Join them at the exclusive Cobden Club for an evening of
outrageous comedy, irreverent songs and sobering drama on the Victorian music
hall stage of the Cobden Club's Grand Hall.

PAUL DARROW

Our congratulations and good wishes go to Paul and Janet on the occasion of
their 42nd wedding anniversary, 9th July 2008, and wishing them many more in
good health and happiness.

JAN CHAPPELL

Jan is appearing in one of a compilation of short (20 minute) plays by Mark
Ravenhill, collectively entitled SHOOT/GET TREASURE/REPEAT. The play Jan is in
is called 'Love (But I Won't Do That)' Produced by Paines Plough, these are an
epic cycle of plays exploring the personal and political effect of war on modern
life. ("It's a bit violent" said Jan, so maybe don't take children or your
grandma!) The plays began life at the Edinburgh Festival and form a collage of
very different scenes, with each taking its title from a classic work.

Dates are Friday 11th & Saturday 12th July at 7.30pm at the North Wall Arts
Centre, South Parade, Oxford, OX2 7NN, as part of the North Wall Summer
Festival. Telephone 01865-319450 for tickets (Mon/Fri 10am-4pm). Prices £15,

The plays will also be performed as part of the Latitude Festival, Suffolk over
the weekend of 18/20 July, though unfortunately the Festival is now sold out.

MICHAEL KEATING

Michael will be playing Derek Painter in the first episode of the forthcoming
series of ITV's 'Midsomer Murders' - 'The Dog Leg Murders'. Michael's
character was beaten up on a golf course a couple of years ago but of course
you'll have to wait to see the episode to find out more. Apart from his main
scene, you'll also get to see him playing badminton, he says.

Michael can also be heard reprising the role of Vila Restal in B7P's new audio
adventure B7 prequel Blake's 7 the Early Years - 'When Vila Met Gan'

Nichelle Nicholls, and many more. The venue is the Sheraton Boston Hotel, for

STEVEN PACEY

Steven is currently playing Victor Fleming in 'Moonlight & Magnolias' at the
Tricycle Theatre, 269 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 7JR until 2nd August. Box
Office 020 7328 1000. http://www.tricycle.co.uk/htmlnew/index.php

The hilarious story behind the re-writing of the film GONE WITH THE WIND.Movie
mogul David O. Selznick has just shut down production of Gone With The Wind.
Determined to rewrite the script, he engages the reluctant services of "script
doctor" Ben Hecht, who has never read the book, and director Victor Fleming,
poached straight from the set of The Wizard of Oz. His reputation on the line,
and with nothing but a stockpile of peanuts and bananas, Selznick locks the
three men into his office and a marathon creative session begins... Funny and
moving - an insight into 30's Hollywood and an epic of laughter. Nominated for a
Whatsonstage.com Award for Best New Comedy 2007.

STEPHEN GREIF

Stephen will be playing Claude Denizet, the senior UN Negotiator in talks
between the Israelis and the Palestinians in episode 6 of the forthcoming series
of 'Spooks' for the BBC.

Stephen has just recorded an Afternoon play for BBC R4 called 'The Facemaker'
about a well known court case in which a person was attempting to pass himself
off as Peter Lorre's son. Stephen plays Peter Lorre. Due to be broadcast on
1st September 2008.

Stephen is also the only Voice on Nintendo DS's new summer release 'Cooking
Guide' playing the Chef who guides you along with cooking recipes, which has
apparently become a hit all over the world!

Stephen has also recorded a number of documentaries for the Discovery Channel
about dinosaurs, global warming in Alaska and others, as well as another Doctor
Who documentary called 'The Cold War' in a forthcoming Doctor Who DVD release
'Attack of the Cyberman'.

The film 'Shoot on Sight' in which Stephen plays Commander John Shepherd will
have its worldwide theatrical release on 25th July 2008. Shoot On Sight is a
fictional story based on London Police order to shoot suspected terrorists after
the July 7th 2005 London bombings. For more information about the film, go to
the movie website http://www.shootonsightthemovie.com/

GLYNIS BARBER

Glynis will be playing Jean McAteer in the ITV series 'The Royal'. Filming will
take place between July and September in Yorkshire, for broadcast early 2009.
ITV's drama series "The Royal" is a spin off from Heartbeat. Like ITV's
Heartbeat, The Royal is set in the swinging 60s. "The Royal" is a medical drama
which evokes memories of older medical dramas made in the 60s such as "Emergency
Ward Ten". The setting is St Aidan's Royal Free Hospital in Elsinby. Elsinby is
a seaside town. Most of the filming takes place in Scarborough.

Glynis's husband, Michael Brandon, was seen in the penultimate episode of
'Doctor Who' as UNIT's sadly rather short-lived General, bravely giving his life
to allow Martha Jones to escape and save the universe.

SAD NEWS - actor BRUCE PURCHASE has died.

We were very sorry to learn of the death of Bruce Purchase, aged 69, on 5th June
2008 at his home in Putney, South London. Apart from his Blake's 7 role as Gola,
he was best known to SF fans as the evil half man, half machine Captain in the
1978 'Doctor Who' 4-part story 'The Pirate Planet', in which he starred opposite
Tom Baker's Doctor. Our deepest sympathy to his partner, Sara Hebblethwaite, and
to all his family and friends.

REMEMBERING PETER TUDDENHAM

One year ago today, on 9th July 2007, the world of Blake's 7 lost Peter
Tuddenham, who passed away at the age of 88. Peter was so much more than just
the voices of Zen, Orac and Slave (and many more besides in his long and varied
career.) Peter was a much loved husband to Rosemary, and father to Mark and
Julian, and a much loved friend to all the cast and crew of Blake's 7. He loved
meeting and hearing from fans of the show, and was a popular guest at
conventions in the UK and overseas.

We at Horizon still mourn his loss, but celebrate a life well-lived and will
remember him with great fondness today - on the anniversary of his death - and
always.

- Diane
