Same Time Next Year: Shona Lindsay (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers) and Steven
Pacey star in a comedy by Bernard Slade, directed by multi-award winning Alvin
Rakoff. The play, one of the most successful comedy-dramas ever written,
begins with a naked couple romping under the bed sheets. And goes on from
there! After this first passionate meeting, George and Doris decide to reunite
every year. Why not? They love each other. True, there are a few minor
complications. Such as both being married to other spouses, to whom - aside
from this annual distraction - they are fiercely loyal. For this is indeed a
very moral kind of immoral play. Through the years we watch George and Doris
and their complications and their relationship and their love, mature. Packed
with insight and delicious laughter and many thought-provoking moments,
audiences throughout the world rejoice in this tale of life and love and
laughter.
