of the Radiophonics workshop and its relevance to Blake's 7. Interviews with
Liz Parker and Richard Yeoman-Clark, with Mark Ayres and Brian Lighthill
Forever Avon: "You're Him, Aren't You?" - 30:15 - this is what we've all been
waiting for, a specially recorded interview with Paul, talking about his time on
B7, his book, his childhood, Terry Nation and more. It was recorded in December
at the Science Museum (where they currently have an exhibition on Alien Life, so
it seemed appropriate) and it's a REALLY good interview. You even get to see
Paul finally owning the Liberator and trying on his original jacket from
'Harvest of Kairos' - and yes, it still fits him, though doesn't look quite as
cool as in his Avon days, since he's wearing a shirt and tie underneath. And if
you buy the S4 DVDs from Horizon, you'll get a free copy of an exclusive photo
taken during the interview of Paul wearing the jacket.
S4 Clean Titles - 0:56
Terry Nation on Series 4 - 2:16 - Terry Nation talking about his thoughts on
killing the crew off in 'Blake' - from 1991
S4 Studio Recordings (Footage that didn't make it to broadcast - includes
optional information text - fascinating stuff)
a.. Games 1 - Eyes Locked 11:35 - Jacqueline Pearce locks eyes with Belkov!
b.. Games 2 - Standby to Lurch - 2:35 - practicing their lurching techniques!
c.. Gold, Guns & Airlocks - 6:44 - with the regular cast, and Roy Kinnear -
includes several takes of Avon trying to follow the others back to Scorpio from
the Space Princess. As you know, he didn't make it through the doors in the
televised version, and had to teleported back in the nick of time. But what if
he'd run a little faster. (VERY funny)
PS Apologies for the odd wording in the last bulletin - that's what you get for
typing bulletins at 3am - sorry!!
