The big news in the media over the past weeks has been the
announcement from Andrew Sewell, Paul Darrow and Simon Moorhead that
plans for the future of Blake's Seven are now entering a new
phase which began with the re-launch of the official Blake's 7
website [at long last], at www.blakes7.com on 21st July.
Now that a rights deal with the estate of the late Terry Nation has
been secured, with the full support of Terry's widow Kate, and
following the unveiling of the website, media coverage has been
extensive. Articles have appeared in the national press, magazines
and media websites. There have also been several radio interviews,
including one for BBC Scotland with Paul Darrow, and Southern Radio
with Paul, Steven Pacey and Peter Tuddenham being interviewed.
B7 Enterprises plans include a four-hour mini-series set 25 years
after the events of Gauda Prime and will introduce a new generation
of characters that will take on the might of the Federation. It also
promises the return of Avon for a final showdown.
Further articles give an insight into additional plans for the future
of Blake's 7, which include an animated spin-off, games consoles,
radio drama, magazines and books.

[note that the new website requires the latest version of Flash (6)
and a decent web connection. And the new logo is a bit like the
Kairopan spider - if you tilt your head to one side, squint really
hard and use all your powers of imagination you can *almost* see what
they were trying to achieve...]
