Gareth's Heartbeat & Stephen Greif at the National

Gareth’s 5th episode of ‘Heartbeat’ in which he plays Nathanial Clegghorn can be
seen this Sunday 11th May on BBC 1 from 8pm to 9pm.
The Radio 3 dramatisation ‘Parade’s End’ in which Gareth plays a General will be
broadcast on Sunday 18th May from 6.30pm to 9.15pm. It is a dramatisation by
Robert Forrest of Ford Madox Ford's quartet of novels. The books follow the life
of Christopher Tietjens before, during and after the First World War.

Stephen is appearing in two plays at the Olivier, Royal National Theatre, as
part of the Travelex £10 Season.
Stephen plays Diamond Louis in the World Premiere of ‘His Girl Friday’ by John
Guare, directed by Broadway Director Jack O’Brien at the Olivier (National
Theatre), West End. It stars Alex Jennings and Zoe Wanamaker.
Play: They're newspaper men, Mollie. They can't help themselves. The Lord made
them that way He'll stop at nothing to block his ex-wife's wedding. She'll sell
her soul for a scoop. He'd kill his mother to get elected. He shot a man because
he could.
'His Girl Friday' is playing on the following dates from 29th May (when it opens
for previews): May 29, 30, 31, Jun 2, 3, 4, (Opening 5th June) 6, 7, 13, 14, 16,
17, 24, 25, Jul 2, 3, 4, 7.30pm. Jun 5, Jul 5 7pm. Jun 7, 14, 25 Matinees 2pm.
(There may be further dates up until 22nd November.)
Stephen plays the Interrogator in ‘Edmond’ by David Mamet, which stars Kenneth
Branagh as Edmond, directed by Edward (son of Sir Peter) Hall. It opens for
previews 10th July (opening 17th July) and plays until 4th October.
Play: Played out in 23 quick fire scenes, Mamet’s Edmond charts the rapid fall
of a New York businessman who leaves his wife and job after a meeting with a
fortune-teller. Freed from the responsibilities of his former life Edmond
plunges into a sordid world of pimps, peepshows and prostitutes where he is
mugged and robbed and embarks on a career of violence. It is only when he has
lost everything that Edmond crawls out of the moral abyss and finds hope of
redemption.

International foreign exchange specialist Travelex is the corporate backer for
new artistic director Nicholas Hytner’s £10 season in the NT, in which
two-thirds of the seats in the Olivier are being slashed to just £10 (less than
half the usual price) with the remaining third kept to £25.
