You mean the radio that they were able to make coffee in on occasions?? I think

I was just watching HH the other day and recalled the little "bug" in that

microphone. Now you know that if that were the case that would have been
spotted day one. And what is cool about them various openings of the tunnels
like the pot bellied stove in Klinks QTs. Don't forget about the coffee pot
aka radio. LOL

As I watched our heroes in action last night, I saw LeBeau flip up the
taps and looked into those faucets to the right of the barrak door.
Up goes the periscope from that water barrel, and down again.
How far fetched is that! Yea, I know, it's just a program for fun, but I also
thought about some of the other UNIQUE tools used by the gang.
How about that sewing box with thread spools with thread that actually recorded
sound! I remember when they were cutting different lenths of thread to create a
false message to have a Nazi female be framed for treason and be out of the way
for Hogan and party to continue operations.
To My Point:
What can "YOU" list as being one of the TOP "10 Most Outragous GAGS!"
Are there any other GAGS that stick out in YOUR MIND.... Where do they sit on
the list of the top 10?

Hi...
The periscope in the water barrel is my favorite without a doubt. Then
there's the periscope in the woods, the tree stump which doubles as a tunnel
exit, the twin flower pots used in Hogan's Double Life which were used as
binoculars.

Breaking through paper looks A LOT different then breaking through a wall of
dirt though. And remember Crittendon and to be knocked out by Hogan as
well....so it had to take his full weight.

I will do that the next time I see that episode. I also wonder if it was just a
pile of dirt that they prepped beforehand on the set as well.

The wall where Crittendon broke through was different looking then the others in
the background. If you can, watch the scenes where they are in the tunnel, but
watch the walls in the background. They have a brown paper quality, rather than
dirt.

I'm with you regarding the paper-like quality of the walls. I've been playing in
my mind trying to see if I could do something close with brown paper... That's
about as far as I've gotten, no room in mind.
Never thought of digging a tunnel, in the area where I live it's clay... Hard
digging, even if my brothers both dug holes deeper than themselves when they
were supposed to be turning the garden!

The entrance to the tunnel from the bunk was done with a raised platform. The
set was built slightly up so the guys could drop out underneath it, but of
course it went nowhere. The tree stump entrance was a hole... and don't ask what
the guys would put in there, especially when there were guests having to get in
that thing!
As for building my own... no. LOL
The set was just a set, never used as anything else in particular before
connected with POW camps or anything like that.

With what you are saying, How much you wanna bet that there was a furry thing
running around in there with him and that's how you get the pricess look before

Hi Linda,
Thank you so much for the information. We pretty much nixed the idea of using
the movie. I have heard from many people that it is inacurate.
Our group has decided that our project will consists of a short biography, a
power point and a skit. The majority of the project is to re-enact taking care
of his precious remains. We as embalmers have to figure out what was really done
to him. and walk everyone throught it to the final disposition.
As of now I am compiling a list of questions to ask you but this is what I have
so far.
We have the date of death and date of autopsy, we are missing the date of the
funeral and if it was an open casket. I have the prayer card from when he was
exhumed and moved to Westwood but I dont know if one exists from the original
funeral and Oakwood burial.
I believe all other questions we have, have to do with his life.
Again any help would be appreciated and thank you to everyone for responding. My
friend might video tape the project. If she does I'll let you guys know and send
out the link

Be wary of what you take from Robert Graysmith AND Brenda's book... some of
those things have been proven (by myself) inaccurate, at least in the telling of
parts of Bob's life.
And the movie is very, very fictionalized.

Try going to Amazon.com and get a DVD of "Auto Focus" (They're dirt-cheap by
now). There's an extra that features the whole bit about the investigation of
Bob Crane's murder.
There's also a book out called "The Murder of Bob Crane" by Robert Graysmith (We

Hey everyone! I know I've been MIA for a really long time.
Still in school for mortuary science, almost finished!
My friends and I were assigned a project about a celebrity featuring their life
and death. My group chose Bob Crane. Naturally;)
I was wondering if any of you had any info or links that I could use. We already
have a great deal of information. The problem is we dont know how accurate
everything is. We want our project accurate as well as respectful and dignified,
particularly when discussing Bob's death.
Again any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hope you all are doing well.
