Hi,
All the United States Army Air Force A-2 jackets were brown. However as there
were many different suppliers the exact shade of brown varied. (The USAAF was
part of the army during WW2, the type of animal hide used also varied)
The black versions were introduced by the United States Air Force when it was
formed after the war.
