Is it me, or did my girl Elsie get the non-lubricated one as a result of some
serious playa
hatin'? She makes an appearance on Good Day Live after winning a kitchen
competition
with chicken soup. Naturally these idiots that proclaim to call themselves a
team basically
screw her, knowing she's homesick and missing the 2 kids she still has at home.
Well
Mike, Ralph, & Jessica, I hope you're happy, 'cause there's this little thing
called Karma...
Oh, I'm sorry! Let me introduce myself-how rude am I-I'm Milton. I live in
Sacramento.
I'm married with 2 kids (almost 3 year old girl & 3 mo. old son), my wife is
also a diehard
fan and was pissed like I was when Ramsay eliminated Elsie.
I know well enough that this is a survival of the fittest-type contest and this
is a very
cutthroat business, but DAMN, yo, these idiots were willing to mess up a night
of service
and make Ramsay look like an ass in the process of freezing out Elsie. I told
my wife if
Elsie goes, I'm not watching this show anymore.
She was eliminated, as my wife put it, because she wouldn't tell Chef Ramsay
that the team
was pulling a Benedict Arnold on her. In other words, she wouldn't snitch, and
it cost her
the restaurant. I guess there's a time to be classy, like she is, and a time to
split
someone's wig. That's what happened tonight. But you know what, people? She's
gonna
get blessed and broke off regardless 'cause she took the high road. She'll get
the hook-
up, Believe that! Besides, Ramsay rode for her tonight and tried to keep her
together. He
really dug her and earned his love and respect. Mine too.
I am with you all the way on Ralph. He def. deserves it! Although as for the mother of six, I think she is doing pretty damn well for herself considering she never had any experience. I think she is showing improvement. I don't think she stands a chance in hell to win but I def. think she deserves to be at the point that she is at.

How can anyone be so daft as to realize Michael hid those steaks on Jessica so she would like a twit. Ralph is by far the most competant person there, and the only one that deserves his own restaurant. My god, I thought that mother of six should have been gone first episode.

Hey everyone! Love the show and am glad to be a member. My favorite
contesant from the beginning was Dewberry and I was sad to see him go
although I saw it coming! Poor Dewey! Anyway my new favorite is
Michael. I'm a Survivor nut and I like the way he plays. He knows this
is a game and will do whatever it takes to win. Reminds me a bit of Lex
with a little Richard Hatch too. I dont like Andrew. Hes the typical
meathead that I wouldnt get along with in life! How do you think the
show will go down when there are only 2 or 3 chefs left? Love to hear
your input!
Thankee sai
Hey all. Just to clarify on my thoughts of Michael. I do not dislike him for his original-ness. In fact I like him very much for that. In the beginning he was a favorite. He can be as "unclean" as he wants and I think he is doing really well in the competition. My only downfall with him is his dishonestly. Now don't get me wrong, I know you need to do whatever you need to do to win, but I don't feel that I would want to work for someone who is that much of a backstabber/liar in any restaurant. This is my personal opinion, I think he is great as a chief, but I dont feel that he is great as a person and I can't route for somebody like that. I know its a game and all, but these people have a reputation at state as well. Those who don't win will go back to their normal lives. My reputation means more to me then winning any restaurant ever could. Now I don't know what I would do if I was in that situation but I do know that I would try to play fair and try to win on my abilities as a chief (which I have none by the way). If he wins, good luck to him (although I am praying for either Ralph or Jessica) Bottom line for me is that if I don't trust somebody then I don't care very much about them. This is my own opinion of course and I am respectful to everyone out there who disagrees. I am only speaking for myself.
Thanks!
Toni

That's interesting that everyone dislikes Michael -- he is one of my favorites. I think he is very original and knows what has to get done to accomplish his goals. I think his tattoos are original, its nice to see "unclean" people on TV doing something "normal".
I also like Ralph a lot. I think he has amazing leadership skills, he is always paying attention to what's going on around him and he has a good sense of humor.
My least favorite is probably David, really. I agree, how did he get away with two-times at the chopper without being eliminated?? Maybe Chef thinks he can break David's ego down, so I suppose it will be something to watch.
My other least favorite is Jeff. I am happy that he was eliminated. At first I felt bad for him because he was sick, but he started making excuses for everything that happened without taking responsibilty for anything and he really let his team down.
If you can't stand the heat, get out of hell's kitchen :-P

I think my favorite is probably Elsie... She has the least amount of experience, but when stuff needs to get done, she gets it done. I've rarely seen her mess up.
Subject: Re: [Hells_Kitchen_Show] Digest Number 11
I agree with you about Michael, he's my least favorite, too. I liked him until the sneaky elimination trick. Andrew is a little too cocky, he'd be a terrible boss if he ran his own kitchen.
My favorite is Jessica, she seems smart and capable of handling other people with fairness.
As much as I don't like Michael right now, I think he's got a good chance at winning this thing. He hasn't made any serious mistakes and I haven't seen Ramsay tell him to redo his dishes.
There's alot of crappy reality shows on now, but this really caught my interest, too. Does anyone know what the ratings are like? I'd hate for this to be cancelled before we find out who wins!!
Hi Steve, I'm Toni. My two favorites are Ralph and Jessica. I think Ralph really knows what he is doing although he had a bit of a rough time on Monday. I like Jessica's spunk and I would love for someone like her to win. I do NOT like Andrew. He is my least favorite!!! I didn't like him from the start. I thought he was annoying and I don't see how Chief Ramsay has let him get away with nearly leaving twice he makes me cringe. Michael is now on my least favorite list as well. I know its a game and you have to do what you Gotta do to win but he just seems evil to me. I didn't like Chris either but I actually felt bad for him for falling for Michael's lies. I can't wait for next week!!

If its the one I am thinking about then its Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares were he goes to different restaurants and tries to straighten them out. In my area its on Tuesday nights (tonight!!) at 10pm but BBC America does show them again on the weekend I think. There is no specific taping location because he is visiting all these places. Last weeks he was in Wales. So its def. not just in one location. Its really a great show, the language is still there but he is alot nicer (a.k.a he smiles and laughs now and then!!). I love both shows.

Hi there! I'm also new (joined last week) and enjoy the show though I missed the last two eposodes cause of work which tonight was a complete diaster. I work at the local A&W Drive-In and it's like "Hell's Kitchen" it seemed like cause we had free rootbeer floats w/ a purchase and was very busy and I work in the grill w/ a guy who acted like Gordon but w/out the language!
Does anyone know there's a show he's hosting on BBC America that I saw a bit of it Sunday afteroon? And where the restaurant and livng quarters is taped? Maybe these will be on DVD and be repeat it soon!
Take care!

I've already had my taste of the industry - for about a year now. I work with a milder case of a Gordon Ramsey. This July I'll be attending L'Academie de Cuisine for a year and a half to study. In high school I attended Thomas Edison Technology School where I took Restaurant Management for 2 years... I had a teacher there who every Friday would give us free reign of the kitchen and wed have to make a 5 course meal and then she'd criticize it all... It was fun... And I've learned over the years not to take anything said about my food personal... I think that's why I find Ramsay so amusing... It can't be taken personal. I've been working in a restaurant now called Golden Bull for almost a year - mostly cooking small stuff, garnishing and expediting is what I do now. The executive chef in there is like Ramsay... If it's not perfect it all gets redone. Which is really heart wrenching sometimes when you work so hard on something... But overall I like it - I've always been good at working under pressure

Hi Nikki
Welcome to the group!
As you may/may not have read the articles i had commented on the first show of hell's kitchen and gave my opinion on a majority of the aspects of the show to the group from my expierence as a chef.
I'm glad you are a inspiring chef to be, but be warned! it will not be a easy journey to go thru and i have seen many people quit the industry because they aren't mentally strong enough to deal with certain aspects of the job.
Now i'm not saying every place or person will have a Gordon Ramsey i.e swearing, shouting etc etc but these type of people exist and they could make or break you as a chef to be.
Are you in college studing? and do u work? if so enlighten me on ur carear so far and the people you work/asociate with

Hello everyone. My name is Nicki, I am 17 years old and I'm an
aspiring chef-in-training. I just watched the premiere of this show
last night and I am already in love with it!!!! I love Ramsay - he's
so funny he just doesn't care what anyone says or thinks or who he
hurts. It's funny to watch. Can't wait to start chatting!

I have a mini - website for hells kitchen.
I have known Matt Goss who also appears in the show, for 17 years
and have a fan website dedicated to him.
Take a look at both websites at
www.mattgoss.biz
As predictions go i never imagined that the result would be somewhat
unpredictable as with my last comments i predicted that Edwina
Currie would get the sack last night and as you all saw it was Abi
Titmuss who got the sack.
I am not cruel when i say this but what was abi titmuss doing
rubbing shoulders with the likes of matt goss, james dreyfuss, belinda
carlisle, amanda barrie and the man himself gordon ramsey?
Lets be brutally honest here for 1 minute as ask ourselves who is
abi titmuss?
If being together with a cocaine snorting has been who used to front
blue peter and was employed by This morning and promptly sacked
after 5 minutes and not to mention the 3 in a bed romps which was
spread all over the tabloids makes you a celeb then those losers on
big pile of w##k, i mean brother are mega stars then.
She hasn't done anything to warrent her place in that kitchen but
i'm not here to attack her just implying that she doesn't have the
cred to do a show like that in the first place.
With that said she did a good job staying to the end when some days
you could tell she wanted to cry and hide in a corner. Quite a
unique person as her motive wasn't clear to begin with but slowly
showed when it was dead obvious that she played to the camara's just
to seek attention which is what some people would stup to i suppose.
It was a big suprise that she was sacked as i didn't think that
she'll leave so soon, i'd thought she would have gone either thurday
or friday and most certainly after edwina but like i said before you
never know what's gonna happen because it tv and the public are the
one's voting.
So thanks abi for trying to entertain us for the past week and half
now you can go back and take more clothes off for the camara and
continue fronting television x.
Just like to say well done to Edwina for overcoming all odds and
staying for another 2 days at least, i'm pretty much sure that
gordon is estactic about the prospect of edwina being in the same
kitchen as him for the next 2 days ha ha!
nothing more to report for the time being but loved to see fat al
get the sack tomorrow as i can't stand him and his arrogance and
ar#e licking to gordon and sarge anymore as it makes me sick (I've
worked with some typical ar#eholes before that kissed up to the head
chef really got on my nerves).
Belinda was getting over a death in the family plus
pasta is a pain. She had her crying moments and people
don't like crybabys but she had promise as a chef she
was too quite and cooked but for the people they want
entertainment not who can cook. I think that jen will
win because she is doing well and men like looking at
her. Or Matt for the women. But being a female and not
able to watch and now that Bel is out and I thought
that amanda could not cook anything but would win
because she was loud but she bailed but Belinda was
going to tough it out but got the boot.

As you may or may not have seen Saturdays live eviction/sacking on
itv1 we all know the result and the first person to be sacked and in
my eyes very harshly done is Belinda.
Having watched right from the beginning to the present time i have
noticed a complete change in personality in everyone from day 1 to
now and this is the effect a kitchen has in real life to people who
venture in my profession.
As mentioned before, this profession as a chef is not 1 to mess
around in, nor is it just bits of meat with fancy garnishes on china
plates and given fancy names. It is pure and utter hard work and it
takes alot out of a person both mentally and physically(As all the
celebs have demonstrated in the past 11 days)
The only joy for chefs is the adreneline rush during service when
everything is happening and you get a massive buzz as you go through
the motions which is what chefs live for.
When i first saw the line up for the show i was more than surprised
at a few of them as i couldn't possible see any of them being able
to accept a bollicking from Gordon Ramsey without getting upset in
some way or another and my suspicions were proved correct when
things got out of hand on most occasions.
I truly admire each and everyone of them for doing this as i see
this not as an oppotunity to further there career or use it as a
stepping stone to bigger and better things but to simply prove
themselves that they can do it.
When i say this i mean to prove that they are mentally and
physically strong enough to handle whatever Gordon has to throw at
them and to last the course of the show, which in many cases is a
tall order itself.
That's why the first public sacking of Belinda was a strange one and
i felt was harsh as i'm sure nearly everyone was expecting Edwina to
get the sack first but we have to remember that it is a tv show and
the general public vote on the popular people to stay and not Gordon
himself.
When Belinda started off she showed much promise and had the abilty
to learn and was willing to listen to much needed advice and was
prepared to accept anything that came her way, Unfortunatly her down
side came about when she was moved to the hot starter section and
had to cook the raviolli's which wasn't a major deal for her Except!
when they all broke and had to be sent back to her thus diners not
getting fed.
Being honest here! pasta can be cruel to people sometimes, when you
make items like raviolli or tortellini the pasta has to be extreamly
thin. So thin that it can easily break on you if not handled
correctly which is why it is so breakable when cooking and will
split just like that.
The thing with Belinda and Dwain was that although at first they
were keen and ready to go, after the first couple of days service it
was so bad that things went wrong and they had a few bollickings
from gordon they made the biggest mistake of taken it to heart and
never really recovered after that plus throw in the 14 hrs shifts
they were working and it is a recipe for disaster.
They may/may not have realised when they signed up what they were
letting themselves in for so it must have been a proper reality
check when gordon was on the war path as i'm sure they have
proberbly never been spoken to like that and it would be a shock to
anybody as you may expect some shouting and swearing but not to the
degree that gordon showed and that will have dampen there spirits
knowing that everyday could be the same for the next 2 weeks.
I agree with Belinda that it's not the most pleasent thing in the
world especially when you are kindda cut off from the outside world
and you have to get up for 7.30am roll call and work till midnight
and have 19 camaras staring at you along with the watchful eye of
gordon ramsey, but i suppose she had friends like matt to support
her so that kept her spirits up abit.
I might sound harsh and critical here now but Belinda never stood a
chance of surviving till week 2 as you could tell from body language
and facial expressions that she just couldn't hack it and wasn't in
to it(Mainly through fatige) and with the raviolli playing through
her mind constently.
You may think that i'm being crazy now when i say this but you have
to be there to understand it yourself, When i first started out as a
commis chef i didn't know much as you do, and i learnt some very
harsh lessons along the way and 1 of my problems back then was i
wasn't metally strong enough to deal with critisism and let people's
comment go to my head after i f##k up a dish so it would constantly
play back and i would think to myself why did it happen? what will
the comments be nxt time if i mess up again? do they hate me as a
person and a chef? Gradually it became natural to me that this was
the way of things accept them or pi## off, and i was very lucky that
my senior explained to me that everything said to me or someone else
was never personal as that is the way it is and learn to listen in 1
ear and out of the other ear so concerntration would be made easier
for the future.
Unfortunatly for Belinda and Dwain it had got to them and hit them
pretty hard before gordon explained that to them so it was really a
lost cause after that.
In reality when young commis chefs are at that stage you can only
encourage them to carry on as tomorrow will be a different day, And
in there minds will only be 2 things. 1 = Is this really what i want
to do 2 = I will carry on and prove them otherwise that i can hack
it.
Belinda seemed a nice person on the show and was very quiet most of
the time which isn't a big deal as she may have been concerntrating
on her work which is a good thing but along with the lack of sleep
and taken things to heart she just wasn't in to it and although she
would have been voted out second at least she certainly shouldn't
have been voted out first, but she lasted the cause with tears and
sadness on her face but 1 thing she didn't do and that was throw in
the towel when it became to much so Belinda Carlisle I salute you
and raise a glass for your hard work and effort during your stint on
the show.
Just like to say that if it wasn't the public voting and gordon had
the last say i'm sure that edwina would have been sack first as she
is the weak link in that kitchen.
After all that just a short one from tonight's episode and Al murray
has got it in his head that he seem to be better than some of his
teammates when his arrogance got the better of him. This was when
his dish consisting of a fish pie was selected to be a special on
last night's menu and the way he treated Matt and giving more jobs
to do regarding his pie was way out of order.
I can understand asking for more prep off him but Al was practically
asking matt to layer the pie with mash, cook the god damn thing and
serve it up, Oh did i mention that Al had ask Matt to saute his
cepes as a garnish and when layering the mash on the pie crack some
eggs and beat it in the mash so it had a glaze?
The fu##ing cheak from the fat lazy c##t whom in process was so
estatic with his creation that he didn't prep himself up for service
thus running out of food and having gordon on his case. Glad that
his pie took a while to sell as that s##t isn't fit enough for a
restaurant it's only good in a brassiere maybe gordon should have
told him the truth.
I was happy that Jennifer choose to do something elegent and simply
and it was a classic dish with minimum fuss her Chataubriand and
chunky chips was fantastic and i always knew that it would sell
because it's such a classic meat and the people who ordered it
certainly knew what they were getting so fair play to you.
Well i'm glad that there still putting up with edwina's antics for
the time being but i'm sure that she will be sacked tomorrow,
however i have a strange feeling that the last 2 will be jennifer
and Edwina and Jennifer will be sacked and relief from her duties
but you never know it's just a feeling.
Al and Jen to win = they seem to be the only ones
getting stuck in - i seriously thought james and/or amanda
would lose it big time, early on, though how come they have
to do all the prep as well - working from 8.30am til midnight
is TWO jobs, not safe, and not legal, in my opinion- isnt there
an EU limit on hours you can work, each week?
hygiene was, and still is, an issue - even the top chefs have
been seen scratching their heads, then straight back to the food-
urgh! also using same clothes to wipr their hands, and then the
dishes..
looks like GR has eased off a bit (if only to save his own voice?)
- trying to make non chefs come straight upto his standard was a
non starter (sorry, i'll get me coat..), perhaps too ambitious-
maybe not a bad thing to aim high, but when you fail, the gap is
B I G!
I'm glad Jen's simple steak n chips is doing well - i hope she wins,
as have missed her since brookside, and the pop career seems to have
stalled... tho she does appear to be sponsored bythe daily star, in
recent days!
Abi and Matt seem to have been playing the game, but now feeling the
pressure..
Edwina to go next, then maybe james or abi on friday.
jordan should be in kitchen, for the next(?) series - 2 head chefs,
rather than one - lets get a bit more friction going!
Hello PK
I am USA so I could not watch the show but joined
because Belinda was on it and have a friend that is a
chef here. Plus I love to read recipes for a hobby.
Well I thought Bel could do it and from I read else
where she just stayed quiet and cooked besides two
crying burst. I wonder why she was sacked? It was
because she was not entertaining enough? or an
American? But I am waiting for your write up because
you are a chef.

Well watched last nights episode of the previous nights performance
and what can we all say amanda?
Firstly, somewhat like edwina she isn't interested in being part of
a team nor the cooking aspect of things just purly for herself which
in many ways would be ok, except in this instance teamwork is the
most important thing and her antics are simply splitting up the red
side and that is a bad thing.
Secondly, With amanda being made dogsbody for the day it put more
strain and pressure on the red section as she decided to trot off to
the blue section for most of the day while her teammates were moping
up her crap and doing double work which is totally unfair on them
but they coped.
Thirdly, And this is the biggest sin of all with no excuses to
defend her actions.
She took it upon herself to let go of all her rage that had been
building up since day 1 and tried to slap gordon across the face not
once or twice but three times and just compleatly lost it.
Now while this does make fantasic tv viewing as it is real, unlike
someother crap that is currently showing or have been show it begs
to ask why did they get involved with something like this if it is
not there cup of tea?
Just like my comments about edwina last night,Amanda knows it is tv
and whatever situation happens between her and gordon or anyone else
she knows she can't be kicked out which works to her advantage.
I'll be quite honest now when i say this about the situation above,I
have been shouted at,screamed at,being humiliated,being
threated, being warned, cursed and just about everything else
including flying ladels and chopping boards towards my directions
and there have been many of times i wanted to turn round and tell
them to F##k off you c##t and stick the job up your f##king a##e but
i didn't why? simply because from day 1 you automatically accept
that is isn't a easy ride to the top,nor is it just fancy garnishes
on a plate and it's not personal when the chef turns round and calls
you a c##t and humiliates you in front of everyone that is part and
parcel of the job.
being mentally strong is one aspect that is vital to a brigade as
the last thing you want is a chef who has just recieved a bollocking
to start crying in the middle of service because he thinks the head
chef has something against him/her (I have witnessed it in real life
and it isn't a pretty sight)
I understand that those guys aren't proper chef's and i do give them
the benifit of the doubt, however nobody can turn round after 12 - 13
days and start crying because it's all going wrong at the same time
or they don't know what there doing when all they are preparing is
the same thing day in,day out so there are no excuses.
I would have to say that Matt,Edwina and Al are the 3 most strongest
people in that kitchen mentally and they would have no real problems
taking a gordon special especially Edwina.
I would like to add Jennifer's name in that list as she seems
totally unfazed but she hasn't had a bollocking yet so it would be
hard to judge her mentality but i'm sure gordon realises that she is
the baby of the group and might not be able to cope in that
situation so i reckon he's taken it easy with her.
With all of the above said, the point here is that Amanda,Edwina and
everyone else seem to lack disciplne for the most simplier things
like going to bed early and this kind of behaviour tends to drift to
the kichen aswell. (hence Amanda's Attack)
well that's all for the moment but i will give my comments and
opinion about the fist sacking who was very unlucky in my eyes
Belinda in my next mail.
Is it me or is edwina just being a woman with something to prove?
Having watch last nights drama (Sat) i feel that the blue team will
end up looking like idiots with all there hard work gone down the
toilet thanks to edwina.
I have to applaud edwina for her no nonsense attitude towards gordon
but she seems to bring out this negitive attitude at the wrong time
of the day when what is far more important tends to come second best
for her and that is compleatly unacceptable in any kitchen as she
lets her entire team down in the process.
I will admit that edwina is mentally stronger than everyone and will
be totally unfazed by what gordon has to say to her, which me being
biased now is exactly what you need to overcome the stress and aggro
in the kitchen especially when the sh#t hits the fan then all hell
breaks loose so a calm head is what you need.
However what edwina said last night was the 1 thing you would never
dare to say the head chef and that is "Shut up"
I'll give her credit and upmost respect for her bottle and stance
towards gordon but unfortunatly for her she said those words to
gordon when it certainly wasn't the time or the place for that
bulls##t.
Comments like that could bring the whole section down especially
once that gordon is pi##ed he will find scapegoats left, right and
center to scold which is pretty normal for me to accept but not for
the rest of them as they are not chefs remember!
When a head chef is in that state of mind your only hope is to get
your head down and get on with it.
What edwina should have done (And it's easy for me to say as i have
been there) was to bite the bullet and speak with gordon when the
last check has gone as everything will have calm down by then and he
will be in the mood to chat about the problem.
The 1 thing that i find wrong in gordon's way of dealing with
members of staff and just like many other chefs i've worked with is
there ability to mentally scare you with there repeated bollockings
not once or twice but 3 or 4 times when the message has been clearly
understood the first time of saying and that is 1 thing that pi##es
me off as once or twice is more than enough but to repeatly go on
and on is abit uncalled for especially when concerntration is vital
all the time so just 1 complaint there about gordon!
Although it is tv at the end of the day and they all know it, edwina
got off pretty lightly when she was sent to go and wash the pots and
pans and asked laura the potwash girl to aid james with his puddings.
In reality gordon has fired people on the spot or demoted them a
rank for comments like that so she's in a great position to tell him
to f##k off and not have the worry of getting kicked out of the show
(Which is good in many ways as i'm sure there are plenty of chefs
out there who wished they could do that and not face the sack)
Lets just hope that she cleans up her act for the sake of the team
cause i certainly wouldn't want a member working with me if all they
do is bring down team morale with there antics.
see you all soon with my comments and opinions
Hi to all!
Having watched last nights edition (Fri) it seems that the celebs
have gotten abit overexcited with the fact that they served everyone
on night 4 and they have achieved there task "Don't think so guys!"
With all due respect they achieved the feat of feeding everyone with
2 members down so all credit to them.
Giving the celebs the benifit of the doubt as they aren't proper
chefs, from a chef's point of view 1 night means nothing if you can't
match that the following night and the night after and the night
after that.
Consistency is a massive word and this is 1 word that is very
important in a kitchen as it shows that 1 good night wasn't a fluke
and you are able to mantain what you achieved the previous night.
I feel that Gordon is kindda being unfair with them as he is
switching them from there competent postion to a new section and not
allowing them time to adjust so it will confuse them even more, but
in any kitchen that may be the case sometimes so it's pretty natural
really.
I'll be quite honest here and say that James did brilliant and cope
extremely well when he was forced to do the pass. It is the 1
position that a chef will hesitate to do as it can be very
uncomfortable at times and in my view purely reserved for the
executive head chef only as they would be crazy enough to handle
it,i'd prefer to go where the action is and do the cooking as that
is where i feel that the real buzz is.
While we are on this subject, I for 1 is glad that Edwina or Amanda
and even Jennifer weren't voted to do the pass as for numourus
reasons. 1 of them being that they simple aren't strong enough to
cope and i'd very much doubt if anyone would have been fed if they
had been voted to do the job. Although it would have made great tv
for alot of you, personally i'm glad it didn't happen as there would
have been alot of unhappy people there.
Well thats another edition of my opinons so far if there are any
Chefs or cooks out there reading this mail your thoughts
Cheers
Hi!
Just like to start off by saying how refreshing it is to finally
have a decent programme with celebs that ain't fakeing it.
I'm a chef myself and i can honestly say that what you guys see is
about as accurate as it can be in quality kitchen.
I do however feel that day 4's service was the best so far but am
worried as Gordon was not himself for a change,i think he has
finally realised that these people are not cook material and can't
be pushed to strive for perfection to his standards.
He has also noticed that it is not wise to "bollock" them for
everything and anything especially when under serious pressure as
what happened to james on night 2 when he was practically in tears
is not something Gordon can accept especially in service as this
kind of behaviour destroys the whole team and it isn't fair on the
others if that happened.
In reality Gordon is worse that what is portrayed of him on the
show,if he was allowed to "give it to em good and proper" they'll
all walk out by the end of show 1 and itv would have a helluva lot
of complaints to deal with.
Right thanks for looking and i'll keep updating my thoughts and
opinions about the show and gordon
