HERE! INTRODUCES JASONSTUART: MAKING IT TO THE MIDDLE
A raucous new comedy special featuring out comedian Jason Stuart is set to premiere on the network.
here!, is thrilled to announce the premiere of Jason Stuart: Making it to the Middle. Known as the first openly gay performer to headline mainstream comedy clubs all over the US, he is now the first male comedian to have his own stand-up comedy special on here! TV. It will debut on the network on Friday, March 28th.
Filmed in Los Angeles at The Showcase Theatre for the Lifework Mentoring Program (a non-profit mentoring organization for gay youths), Jason Stuart: Making it to the Middle will feature a look at his hilarious rapid-fire stand-up routine as well offer as a poignant behind-the-scenes take at a brilliant comic in the middle of his career, in the middle of his life, and in the middle of the country. Stuart sums this notion up best by quipping, "I always thought I'd be as famous as Barbra Streisand or as Lil Kim's wig washer. I ended up being neither. I made it to the middle."
Seen in over 100 films and television shows including as Dr. Thomas on My Wife and Kids and on the popular Chris Rock-produced Everybody Hates Chris (premiering May 11th), Stuart has had a remarkable career as an actor and comedian. This year he will be adding to that impressive resume with roles in several films. Among these are that of a naïve priest in Twisted Faith; a jaded doctor in Ping Pong Playa; a Nurse in a rehab center in Family of Four; and a bitchy fashion designer in Drop Dead Gorgeous.
When he's not blazing a trail as a performer on stage and screen, Stuart likes to "pay it forward" with his work in the gay community. He is the chairman of the first ever SAG LGBT Committee. "All I ever wanted to do was act, but being gay is part of who I am too. This first meeting's is the culmination of my desire to provide LGBT SAG members with a platform to share their issues and to get support from their colleagues."
here! looks forward to giving this groundbreaking and gifted performer a venue to display his wonderful comedic talents. And as for Jason Stuart, if this is only the middle, perhaps only the sky is the limit!
Male Modeling competition poised to heat up the network
here! presents the network premiere of Cover Guy, a sexy and entertaining male modeling competition. The show is set to make its premiere on the network on March 21st.
In the same mold as Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model and Bravo's Project Runway, Cover Guy pits together a variety of bulked-up and gorgeous guys vying for the prize of becoming the next face – and body – of Ginch Gonch underwear. In addition, the winner will be featured on the front cover of an array of magazines and win a one-year membership to Goodlife Fitness Clubs.
An open call was held in Toronto where qualified judges were able to pick the top candidates. Subsequently, these contestants are put in a series of modeling competitions that cover the runway and all sorts of photo shoots in (and out!) of various attire. Cameras interview and follow these studs as they prep for challenges and the competition begins to sizzle.
They will be boldly judged by four of the biggest and most prominent names in the fashion industry, including former top male model John Nightingale, recognized fashion editor Jim Armstrong and the fabulous transsexual television personality Nina Arsenault. Hosting Cover Guy will be Canadian reality TV star Mathieu Chantelois, who has gone on to star in several television projects as well as wear the title of Editor for the movie magazine Famous Quebec.
"Picking up on the vein of mainstream supermodel competition-based reality programming, here! is proud to introduce the gay-model based Cover Guy. It is one of those 'guilty pleasure' TV shows featuring boys willing to strut their stuff and take it off for a chance at a cash prize and modeling opportunity. With Cover Guy, here! continues to offer wonderfully diverse programming appealing to the diverse preferences and interests of our audience," says Mark Reinhart, Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Distribution for here! Films.
here! seeks to provide a fresh look at the reality programming genre for its viewers, with Cover Guy giving us an in-depth view at the lives of gorgeous hunks seeking fame in the competitive world of modeling. The network hopes to catch all of the emotion and intensity both in front of the camera and behind the scenes as it plays out. Either way, the action, the competitive fires stoked and – most of all – the buff bodies in Cover Guy are sure to make this here! network premiere one that is definitely worth watching!
here! is pleased to announce its Spring 2008 programming slate featuring 40 hours of exciting original programming, including specials, new series, and feature films. Since its founding in 2002, here! has grown into a national leader in LGBT programming, reaching all major markets via VOD and SVOD on all major cable services. The upcoming slate of original programming begins in March with the 1-hour special 11th Annual Ribbon of Hope Celebration hosted by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, honoring programs and individuals who have advanced the cause of HIV/AIDS awareness. New Inclusive Comedy Coming to ABC
David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, the team behind Will & Grace, are
bringing their newest project to ABC. The untitled project is about one
straight and one gay business partner who each find their significant
others around the same time and try to balance those loves with their

Mutchnick gay, friends since their days at Beverly Hills High School. A
similar pilot was written for CBS last development season, but this

We would like you to know about a new type of talk show show on gay issues.
Dr. Debra Mandel is available for interviews. "Coming In And Out" is a new, unique type of talk show created by Herbert J. Price, a gay man, and Mindy Rosario, a straight woman, hosted by Dr. Debra Mandel, PhD. The show is designed to promote tolerance and understanding between the GLBT community and the straight community. "Coming In And Out" is a comfort zone to discuss gay issues, help with the coming out process and confront other themes.
Dr. Debra is warm, accessible and understanding with over twenty years experience as a psychologist specializing in relationships. The author of several books, most recently, "Dump That Chump," she is a media expert, advising major news shows. Dr. Debra is someone that the GLBT community can trust and the straight community can relate and want to listen to, opening up the lines of communication between both worlds.
"Coming In And Out" doesn't expect to change the world but we would like to have the GLBT and straight communities join hands and create a chain that expands the globe. With your help we can make this happen.
"Coming In And Out" has the belief that everyone should be allowed the freedom to be whoever they are and entitled to be accepted for being themselves. We aren't naive enough to expect views to change overnight, but awareness brings knowledge and knowledge makes you think. We can't erase prejudice but we can promote understanding. "Coming In And Out" is the portal to allow this to happen.
Please go to www.cominginandout.com to view the "Coming In And Out" trailer and take our survey. You may also view the trailer on You Tube and My Space. We look forward to having you as part of our chain. We'd also like to welcome you to link with us.
For all media and sponsorship inquiries please either e-mail rosario222@... or from the website or call: (310) 247-1522. Feel free to link with us.
Thank you for your time,
Herbert J. Price, Mindy Rosario Producers of "Coming In And Out"
A bold new comedy series starring television and radio personality Ben Harvey and comedian Dave Rubin is set to premiere on here!
February 11 – here!, America's premium gay television network, presents "The Ben and DaveShow," a groundbreaking new television series hosted by the ultra-charismatic and irreverent Ben Harvey and Dave Rubin. The show is set to debut on here! March 7th.
Both astonishingly raw and supremely provocative, "The Ben and Dave Show" is considered to be the first television show of its kind to ever feature two openly gay co-hosts. It consists of biting and uncensored commentary on issues which range from their boyfriends, celebrities who need to get out of the closet and "taste the rainbow," gay porn websites, and – of course – their moms. But that is just the tip of the iceberg, as no queer topics or taboos will go untouched. Either way, this powerhouse comedic duo's brash repartee is bound to keep their audience in stitches as they question where they stand on the scale of politically correct behavior.
A veteran radio personality known for his merciless and sharp take on anything and everything, Harvey's career began in Philadelphia at Y100 (WPLY) before moving to New York City's rock music-based 92.3 K-Rock (WXRK). Subsequently, he has proceeded to do on-air work for stations in Los Angeles and Boston, and more recently he has been regularly featured as a correspondent and DJ for "Radio with a Twist."
The quick-witted Rubin began his comedy career nine years ago and since coming out of the closet has quickly become a fixture in the New York gay comedy scene. He has worked virtually every comedy club in New York City and is widely recognized as one of the hottest comics performing today. In addition to "The Ben and Dave Show," he also hosts "Hot Gay Comics" for here!Networks, where he interviews the brightest up-and-coming gay talent in the industry.
"Ben and Dave take the gay agenda to a new place. I'm not sure if it's a safe place…but we're willing to find out. It's about time that two outspoken gay men go beyond the stereotypes and break new ground. We are all incredibly proud of what we believe is a future of gay media," Says Eric Feldman, Executive Vice President of Programming.
"The Ben and Dave Show" promises to be an uproariously entertaining original program from here!Networks. It is a testament to the dedication the network displays in providing creative and quality gay and lesbian programming to its viewers. It will also offer an inside look as to what happens when you pair two of the hottest queer talents and allow them to let loose…and watch the sparks fly!

HERE! ON DEMAND HAS FINISHED PRODUCTION ON TWO MORE DONALD STRACHEY MYSTERIES
Margot Kidder set to guest star in one of two additional installments set for release in 2008
here! has wrapped production on two additional installments in the acclaimed Donald Strachey Mysteries series. These two new films will both be ready for release in 2008.
The two new Donald Strachey Mysteries, titled "Ice Blues" and "On the Other Hand, Death", follow gay detective Donald Strachey as he solves crimes in Albany, New York. Chad Allen reprises his role as beloved tough guy Strachey, with Sebastian Spence returning as Strachey's husband, Tim. The successful landmark franchise, based on the popular novels by Richard Stevenson, has brought an original mixture of dark wit, suspense, political commentary, and adventure rarely seen before in the gay film and television genre.
Not only has the series already produced two successful films, it also has drawn interest from well-known stars of film, television and stage to star in supporting roles, including Sean Young and Morgan Fairchild. The next two films are honored to include Sherry Miller (previously seen on Showtime's "Queer as Folk") playing a family matriarch with a dark secret in "Ice Blues," and Margot Kidder (Superman) portraying an outspoken member of the lesbian community in "On the Other Hand, Death."
"We're thrilled that Chad Allen is reprising his role as the sexy, gay, tough-guy detective Donald Strachey, and that we can offer his fans two additional installments of this popular franchise in 2008," says here! Senior Vice President of Original Programming, Meredith Kadlec.
The franchise continues to grow more suspenseful and more entertaining and the network is confident that these next two installments will only continue to build on the momentum set forth by the first two.
HERE! NETWORKS/REGENT RELEASING RECEIVES ITS 1st NOMINATIONS FROM THE GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS
here! Networks and Regent Releasing are proud to announce that they have received two nominations for the 19th annual GLAAD Media Awards. Nominations were announced on Sunday evening the 20th at the Sundance Film Festival's Queer Lounge.
here! Networks' The DL Chronicles received a nomination in the category of Best Television Movie, Mini-Series or Anthology. The DL Chronicles, created by Quincy Le Near and Deondray Gossett, is a series of vignettes which tell the stories of men of color who by consequence and by choice, live sexually duplicitous and secret lifestyles. The "Down Low" is a slang term sometimes used to refer to African-American men who identify as being straight, but secretly engage in sexual activity with men. They date women, have children, and often marry in an effort to appear heterosexual to the public. Most of these men do not identify as gay or bisexual and refuse to be associated with the gay identity or gay community.
Also nominated was Regent Releasing's Nina's Heavenly Delights, in the category of Best Film - Limited Release. Directed by Pratibha Parmar, Nina's Heavily Delights follows Nina Shah, a young Scottish Asian woman forced to return home to run her father's restaurant, now how owned by Lisa, a charismatic young woman. As the two women work together to compete in The Best of the West Curry Competition, Nina realizes that she is falling is love.
Last year GLAAD announced that for the first time it would accept submissions from gay media, previously excluded from qualification. They have followed this policy change by nominating gay media of all forms in several categories. "here! Networks and Regent Releasing are extremely proud to be recognized in this way by the GLAAD Media Awards," says Paul Colichman, co-Founder of both companies. "We are committed to telling the complicated and rich stories of the LGBT community."
The GLAAD Media Awards will be held in New York on Monday, March 17 at the Marriott Marquis; in South Florida on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Kodak Theatre and in San Francisco on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the San Francisco Marriott.

Her life is further complicated by the fact that she and her husband, Richard (Cristian Solimeno), would like to have a child together, but are unable to conceive. The prospect of Richard's brother acting as a surrogate does not sit well with his own wife.
Meanwhile, Linda is pulled into the seedy world of fetish and S&M when her ex-lover, Angie (Eva Pope), seeks her advice on a sordid murder case involving auto-erotic asphyxiation. When another body is discovered – this time one of Linda's clients – both her professional and personal life is put at risk in this sizzling miniseries

Jeanne White-Ginder is the mother of Ryan White, who was diagnosed with AIDS on December 17, 1984, and captivated the attention of millions as he battled the disease and ultimately succumbed to it.

NEW YORK, NY – November 29, 2007 – Logo, a division of Viacom
Inc.'s (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) MTV Networks, today announced it has
greenlit a new competition dating series – Transamerican Love Story
– centered on transgender activist, artist, actress and author
Calpernia Addams. Logo also announced the greenlight of Gimme Sugar,
which follows five women on the search for love in the L.A. lesbian
nightlife and club scene
<http://www.logoonline.com/travel/destinations/north_america/usa/ca/los_\
angeles.jhtml?auxPage=nightlife> as well as Rockdogs (working title),
which chronicles San Francisco's star gay basketball team
<http://www.365gay.com/health/fitness/sports/112807sports.htm> as its
new generation of players struggles to survive on and off the court.
"These shows advance Logo's continuing mission to not only explore
the diversity of people in our community, but also the diverse lives
they lead," said Brian Graden, President, MTV Networks Music Group
Entertainment; and President, Logo.
Logo's new eight episode dating reality series Transamerican Love
Story follows Calpernia Addams as she whittles down a group of eight
bachelors, living together in a Los Angeles-area home, with the help of
her best friend and fellow transgender activist Andrea James. Calpernia
is openly transgender to all the show's suitors from the start of
the series.
"Calpernia Addams proves that steely optimism and a genuine spirit
are the universal keys to finding love," added Graden.
The show is hosted by comedian and actor Alec Mapa (Ugly Betty,
Desperate Housewives) and will also feature online voting
<http://www.logoonline.com/shows/events/50_greatest_films/film.jhtml>
at LOGOonline.com, allowing viewers to express who they think Calpernia
should eliminate. Live voting results will air during the show, but the
selections are Calpernia's alone.
The hour-long show, which will premiere in February 2008, is executive
produced by Randy Barbato, Fenton Bailey and Tom Campbell of World of
Wonder Productions (Transgeneration, The Eyes Of Tammy Faye), Joe Del
Hierro of Oh Really! Productions (The Big Gay Sketch Show) and
co-executive produced by Julio Kollerbohm.
In Gimme Sugar's six half-hour episodes, five hot young friends on
the L.A. lesbian club scene bite off more than they can chew when they
try to launch and promote their own club night. If they succeed,
they'll be the youngest female promoters in LA. The girls will
fight, fall in love, break apart, and come back together as they
struggle to make their dream come true.
The show, which will premiere in summer 2008, is executive produced by
Scott A. Stone of Stone & Company (Tim Gunn's Guide To Style, The Ride,
Curl Girls), Michaline Babich (Million Dollar Listing, Welcome To The
Parker) & Michelle Agnew.
A star gay basketball team in San Francisco lives together under one
roof as they prepare to defend their national title in Rockdogs (working
title). During six half-hour episodes, the team will try to bring back
the glory of San Francisco's three-generation, gold-medal winning
legacy of the Rockdogs. While the competition on the court is fierce,
the action will be found on the high drama off the court. Executive
produced by Eddie October Productions (Bands Reunited, Tommy Lee Goes To
College) and William Kendall, the show will premiere in summer 2008.

Gus Van Sant's Milk First Out of the Gate
Thanks to the writer's strike, it looks as though it will be Gus Van
Sant's biopic of Harvey Milk that will make it to the screen ahead
of competing project The Mayor of Castro Street from director Brian
Singer, which after 15 years of development has been held up pending the
strike's resolution. Both films were to focus on the story of the
first openly gay man elected to public office, who was subsequently
assassinated by Dan White, a fellow San Francisco city supervisor. The
Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Milk, which was penned by Dustin
Lance Black, will begin principal photography on location in San
Francisco this coming January. Sean Penn has already signed on to play
the title role, while Mark Walberg is rumored to be in talks to portray
White, a role Matt Damon allegedly had to give up due to scheduling
conflicts. The film is being made by Groundswell Productions, and will
be co-financed and distributed by Focus Features.

Dottie's Magic Pockets offers children's programming for LGBT
families
While on the whole, television programming often falls short in
depictions of the LGBT community, LGBT families typically find
themselves at even more of a loss for representation. In 2005, U.S.
Secretary of Education Margaret Spelling successfully pressured most PBS
stations from airing an episode of Postcards from Buster, which included
a lesbian family in a segment on maple syrup in Vermont. Since then,
the situation certainly hasn't improved, but the Pink Pea production
company hopes to change that with their new children's show
Dottie's Magic Pockets. As Pink Pea CEO Tammy Stoner told NPR's
Marketplace in a recent broadcast, the idea to produce the show came
after her own son "started asking for videos with two mommies,"
which reflected his own family, but she was unable to find anything that
would fit that description. The solution was to create programming
which casually featured LGBT families while also entertaining and
educating children, and so Dottie's Magic Pockets came about. So
far, Pink Pea has produced a DVD featuring two episodes of the program,
with two more episodes on the way. Show descriptions and ordering
information can be found on the show's website,
DottiesMagicPockets.com.

organization, Children International.

Company features a gay Muppet couple in Hollywood. Bill Barretta will

mate/manager (and puppet bull) Samson Knight, played by Brian Henson.

Brothers and Sisters producer Greg Berlanti signs on to Green Lantern
Seven years after the release of his directorial debut, the gay romantic
comedy The Broken Hearts Club, out TV producer Greg Berlanti has signed
on to return to the big screen as director and co-writer of the DC comic
adaptation, Green Lantern. Berlanti has helmed some of the
gay-friendliest programs on TV, with Dawson's Creek, Brothers and
Sisters, and Dirty, Sexy Money under his belt, but with Green Lantern
he'll be tackling a character with one of the most rampantly
heterosexual reputations in comics. However, Green Lantern also has a
history of being a gay-inclusive comic book, and even won GLAAD Media
Awards in 2001 and 2002. Given the extensive backlog of stories in the
character's 67-year history, will any of the gay storylines make it
into the film adaptation? Well, there's always the sequel.
