Here's another episode in a foreign language, with Lassie (Mire) and Jack De
Mave as the forest ranger Bob Erickson.
http://jwak.net/media/5202/
There is an icon at bottom right of the video to see it full screen.
I haven't seen this before; they didn't show separate episodes of the later
forest ranger years, only the TV movie episode compilations.
Can't understand what they're saying in English though... they reduced the
volume (you can hear them talking) and dubbed the foreign language over the top.
You can tell it was reduced because Lassie's whines aren't all the same volume.
Sharon
Thanks for the English bit of the first scene. I don't specifically
recall seeing the episode before (maybe I have, but I really don't
remember) but I do recall seeing scenes like that where Corey urged
Lassie to go off on her own as he was too busy, then her coming back
to get him.

It's French. I surprised myself. I managed to understand a few words
in the opening scene. I keep meaning to learn French. Both my
parents speak Cajun French, but I didn't learn as a kid.
It's episode 12x01 - Lassie Meets a Challenge. If Un Bon Gardien was
supposed to be the episode's title it appears to be misidentified. I
think the closest I could find to that in the episode guide is 14x04 -
The Guardian. I think Un Bon Gardien would be something along the
lines of A Good Guardian, but with my French skills I wouldn't
guarantee it.

I'll second that motion!! Heck, I'll third and fourth that motion!!!
I commented recently on another Lassie list that maybe I should learn
German. There are several volumes of classic series episodes listed
on German Amazon. It was an American show. Why can other countries
get it on DVD and we can't?
At least we have fan based collections. One available via iOffer:
http://www.ioffer.com/i/114367785
is now almost complete. All 19 seasons are available. There are
three missing episodes from season 15. He now has each season listed
as "in chronological order." Unless he's gone back and fixed some of
the early seasons, there are a few episodes that are not in
chronological order.

The dialog from the English version of the above scene is:
Hello girl. I haven't got time to play, Lassie. Now, don't go
gettin' your hopes up, I've got work to do. You go on and play.
You're on your own now ... go on.

Corey Stuart and Lassie (Baby)

It's in a foreign language though, but you can guess what's happening. The image
quality is pretty good! I wish this series was on DVD! It includes syndication
open and end credits. Involves a deer, cougar (amusing incident in there with
Lassie) and Lassie interacts with the deer (and the cougar). I can guess in the
first scene with Corey that he says something about being busy, and she can go
off on her own or run along now, that kind of thing...

I recently saw discs 1 and 2 of Get Smart TV series season 1 DVDs and it is
great to see Fang was there from the first! Very amusing also that the dubbing
-- whines, growls and barks -- sound very much like Lassie's canned dubs from
the original series! And despite being untrained at least Fang learned a few
things. :) And he's gorgeous, facial expression and everything.

Disney/ABC unveils plans for new soundstage
"The property has been Disney's since the late 1950s and served as an outdoor
setting for many TV shows and movies, from Lassie to Old Yeller to Pirates of
the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."
http://www.cbc.ca/arts/film/story/2009/10/29/disney-soundstage-california.html
They got something wrong as usual.
The TV series was just called plain "Lassie". Wasn't "Jeff's Collie"
one of the syndication titles?

The "Rescues on the Runway" dinner fashion show fundraiser will be held at the Hyatt Valencia in Valencia on Sunday, November 22nd, 2009, with special guest- Lassie!. The models for this show are Miss Santa Clarita Valley's Queens & Princesss, (past and present). Also attending, special honorary guest, 'Lassie'! Rescues on the Runway is a fundraising event to save our pets from the kill shelters in Southern California. Like children and the elderly, the animals also need our help, and they need it now! Someone needs to help them, not hurt or kill them! Our pets have been silent victims in this economic crisis. Losing a home is an emotional experience for anyone, but our beloved companions are also being affected in the foreclosure crisis. Cats, dogs, horses and other pets are being left to fend for themselves when homeowners are forced to move to a rental unit that doesn't accept animals. Families simply cannot pay for pet care any longer because of home debts and rising job loss. The alternative would be to take their family pets to a shelter but that may be a fatal decision since Governor Schwarzenegger passed a law that the holding time for animals in a shelter is only three days, after that our pets are euthanized (put to death). If you lose your pet you'll probably never get them back now! 4,000,000 dogs and cats are senselessly euthanized each year in the USA. There stands a beautiful $20 million dollar animal shelter ready to serve, built less than two years ago in Mission Hills, California that has never opened! It's the most amazing modern facility, fully equipped to hold up to 360 dogs, twice as many cats, horses, rabbits, reptiles, and birds. The concrete floors are heated for the winters and there are water misters in each kennel for those hot scorching summer days. It has artificial grass play areas for dogs to get acquainted with people before adoption. Also two large cat houses, a beautiful bird aviary, horse pastures and a reptile area. The Mayor of Los Angeles was unaware of its existence until last month, according to the shelter staff. Animals are dying because of overcrowding at other shelters, lack of concern, and simple politics. Our tax money should support animal shelters that provide care for our pets in a caring loving and humane manner. Euthanizing our stray and lost pets is a practice that should be replaced with life saving alternatives. We can make a difference and we're going to start right here in the Santa Clarita Valley with this special awareness fundraising event! This event is the stimulus plan for domestic animals, next is the animal health care reform! To help the animals by purchasing tickets, volunteering, advertising, be a vendor, donating animal products, adopting a pet, or be a foster parent please call (661) 252-3232 or go to www.rescuesontherunway.com .
One other plot angle they couldve used if they wanted to use the bit about Ruth and Paul not taking Timmy and Lassie w/them to Austrailia would have Paul accepting the job in Austrailia, then finding out Timmy and Lassie couldn't come with him and Ruth. They could use the same storyline about leaving Lassie w/Cully who is stricken ill and gives Lassie to Corey.Meanwhile a new twist would be for Timmy to go stay w/Ellen Miller in Capitol City[who he always referred to as Aunt Ellen]while the Martins are in Austrailia. It couldve been stated that Jeff has now graduated from college and has moved away and started a family of his own and being lonely,Ellen is more than happy to take Timmy in.Living in the city w/Ellen though prevents Timmy from taking Lassie w/him,but Corey promises Timmy he can come see Lassie anytime.I believe since Timmy is now older,a child can decide who he wants to stay with, hence Ellen wouldn't have to adopt Timmy.Perhaps he felt a stigma among his fellow classmates as being Timmy the boy w/the dog[even though he still loved Lassie]and to show he's progressed beyond the little boy and his dog identity he starts using his middle name Steve.

If Timmy wasn't legally adopted, the Martins would've discovered that he would not be allowed to leave the US, about the same time they realized Lassie couldn't come either! Leave'em both with Mr. Cully!
When they were filming it, I'm surprised no one said "What??"

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I think there are basically three possibilities for whoever wrote Roots(season 1 episode 7 of The New Lassie, not the movie):
a) They were absolutely crazy b) They were on some serious medication, or other intoxicating substance c) They needed to be on some serious medication

His sets through season fourteen are complete, but a few episodes are not 100% in chronological order. In some cases he

Wow! You really have collected that many episodes! That is great. I wish I had the remaining 13 for you but I unfortuately do not.
I am very interested however in buying your complete "Lassie DVD Seasons" once you have all of the episodes in your collection.
Please let me know if you will be selling them and for how much and I wish you continued success.
