Fantasia Scores Reality Show -- Setting DVR Now!
Fantasia Barrino came to fame on a reality TV show and now she's returning to the format in a bid to boost her flailing career. Starting next year, fans of the "American Idol" winner will get an unprecedented look inside her life via a new VH1 reality series that will chronicle her life as a recording artist and single mother, according to THR.
"Fantasia has one of the most fascinating stories in show business, from her tough upbringing to her meteoric rise on the national scene thanks to 'American Idol,' " said Jeff Olde, executive VP of original programming at VH1. "Her challenges and unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life talent."
Fantasia is no stranger to putting her life out there for consumption -- the last time she graced the small screen fans got the epic Lifetime movie, "Life Is Not a Fairy Tale." The biopic is most notable for a fabulous vomit scene that was more unintentionally hilarious than most of her outfits.
Despite that, I'm a huge fan of the singer's and am looking forward to seeing her through the warped VH1 lens. "Fantasia's life has been an open book, but, at 24 years old, her story has just begun," exec producer Randy Barbato said. "We look forward to smashing expectations and revealing the fresh, funny and unexpected side of this one-of-a-kind country girl and superstar."

I will definitely be watching!! I hope they show some studio sessions.
I will most definetly be watching I am sure it will be good and intertaining
in a good way I love this girl but I have to
disagree with the filing career her career is far from filing she is a very busy young lady
people just do not know how busy she is because she does not get the media attention
so their or a lot of people that do not know

her home almost went into forclosure recently because she borrowed money from a loan company and failed to pay them back. if her career is so successful then why did she need to borrow almost $58,000 from a loan company? what does she do with her earned money?
I can't wait to see this if I have to miss I will record it. Love me some Tasia she is for real not trying to be no one else but herself. I hope she will still be making the Color Purple musical movie. And I can't wait for her CD I hope these month pass by quickly now I have something to look for on T.V. Congrat VH1 you hit the jackpot if don't know already, look what she did for Lifetime and Color Purple on Boardway. I agree her career is not failing it just that Hollywood fail her passes up on her for so many reson that doesn't mean anything with the voice she has and the heart she has. Looking at her looks instead of inner beauty, she is beautiful inside and out. May God continue to Bless Her.

The reality show is going to be a winner because this is one young lady you all have all WRONG, and VH1 and the others who wanted her KNOW this.

Fantasia's home was up for auction but never in Foreclosure. Both of her homes are paid for. The media used the wrong term. There was a lien on her 2nd home from owing a loan company for paying back taxes a few years ago that was never paid back. The $58,000 was the remainder amount left. With court and lawyer fees I think it was like $65,000. Her previous lawyer did not appear on her behalf for the court date so the Judge approved a lien and auction date on one of her homes for failure to show up. The NY Post did a good job with covering the details of the story.
Fantasia is on her grind. I hope this show shows her family singing too. I'm ready for her new music.

This show will be a hit and the naysayers will have egg on there face. Just like they did when it was release that she was going to play Celie in the color purple. People were laughing at her and saying that the critics were going to eat her alive. Fantasia had the last laugh, The critics loved her and they gave her raving reviews. Thanks VH1 Fantasia is the best. You will see why her fans love her so much, She doesn't have to get half naked to sell CD'S like the others.
How do they know why Fantasia is doing the show? Did she say it was a bid to revive her so called flailing career? Maybe she has other reasons for doing it. People are constantly saying whatever they want to about Fantasia,regardless of wether it's true or not. I'd love to have a career that's as flailing as hers. A platinum album,a gold album,a smash Broadway hit,a smash tv movie,a best selling book,one of the biggest,longest charting r & b hits ever (WISU),and being the world's greatest live performer-if that's flailing,I say flail away Fantasia,flail away!
First of all Flail mean to move, swing, or beat like a flail that is great I am happy for Fantasia. Can't wait for this to air. I am waiting on that CD and the movie hope that it is a success which I know it will be congrat go out to vh1. I heard her say out her own mouth that she has three home and everyone have problems now and then and she took care of her problems. while you hater are hating u better watch out before someone come get your things.
