Hope to have a chance to be one of the applicants for the Extereme
Makeover in Manila, Phils.
If i would be given a chance, I will really apply for it, in fact I keep
on praying evry night to the LORD for that, because until now, we don't
have our own house to live in for my own family.
Hoping that someday, it will be a dream come true for us.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition arrives in MurfreesboroFebruary 19, 2007 -

MURFREESBORO – The Collins family of Murfreesboro awoke Monday morning to a scream, and now their lives will be changed forever for the better.
“Good morning Collins family!”
Ty Pennington and ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” design team arrived in Murfreesboro, shouting that hit television show’s popular phrase as Kim and Dennis Collins awoke for a new day.
RealSteel, based in Rogers, and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” are eager to help build a safe and secure home for this hardworking logger and his extended family, according to a RealSteel press release.
The Collins’ teenage son, Mitchell, survived a rare form of brain cancer when he was a 3-year-old. The ailment left him impaired mentally.
Then, when Kim Collins’ favorite cousin was
killed in a car accident, the Collins family refused to allow her cousin’s five children to get separated by the system and took them all into their home, according to the press release.
“Without consideration for their own comfort, the Collins family fought to reunite five children that were struck with grief of separation from each other after the loss of their parents,” Steve Butcher of RealSteel said. “Out of thousands of applications received by ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ producers, this family was picked to receive a new house and I am very happy for them and honored to help do the job.
“During the construction of this house, and of the airing of the show, many lives will be touched. Even though very few participants will ever meet the family, each volunteer and worker will become part of the Collins’ extended family and will forever be blessed by the experience. Whether received on earth or in heaven, the greatest rewards always come
from helping others. I recommend everyone give it a try.”
Along with local volunteers and skilled laborers, RealSteel will bring its entire 70-person building crew from Biloxi, Miss., where the turnkey team has been rebuilding in a residential community in the Gulf Coast region that was lost during Hurricane Katrina, according to a RealSteel press release.

Extreme Makeover picks Davis Islands family after a plane destroyed their home.
By KEVIN GRAHAM Published January 8, 2007
TAMPA - The letters mailed to a Davis Islands family and their neighbors last week warned them to be ready: ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition might come calling.
Be prepared, just in case the reality show's crew shows up Sunday between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. at the charred shell of a
home at 629 E Davis Blvd. - just in case.
Sunday, just in case became reality for the Tate family, whose home was demolished by a plane crash.
"Oh, my God! It's us!" the Tates said when they heard the crew arriving, according to relatives.
The family lost everything in June, when an airplane careened off the runway at nearby Peter O. Knight Airport and slammed into their house, killing the pilot.
Now their home will be reconstructed by the show while they enjoy a free vacation.
After the disaster struck, the close-knit community rallied around Tom and Cynthia Tate, whose Tate Brothers Pizza business help define the main strip of the island.
A video application put together by a family friend won the Tates a finalist slot. But final word on being selected for the show didn't come by phone, e-mail or certified letter.
It arrived at 7 a.m. Sunday with the screeching brakes of the Extreme
Makeover bus.
"Last night, we were all together and everybody was on pins and needles," said Frank Augustine, Tom Tate's cousin.
Augustine and his family planned a vacation around Sunday and flew in from New Castle, Pa. They also have a pizza business back home that's turning 50 this year. Augustine said he plans to help out at the Tate family pizzeria this week, expecting it to be swamped.
Tom and Cynthia Tate stood in the driveway of what remained of their home Sunday, joined by their children, Ryan, a Marine, Tommy and daughter, Loren, Standing with them was Ty Pennington, design team leader and carpenter for the show.
Producers kept the Tate family too busy for reporters' questions on Sunday. They had footage to shoot before the family was whisked off to Costa Rica while their home's transformation takes place.
Now in its fourth season, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition selects a "deserving" family whose house is
in desperate need of an upgrade and does it in seven days. Most of the families featured on the show have someone living at home with a disability.
Preston Sharp, one of the designers, said the Tate family deserved a bit of good luck.
He wouldn't give away any details for the new home, but said that they hoped to somehow pay tribute to Steve Huisman of Bradenton, the pilot who died.
Information on when the show will air was unavailable Sunday.

ABC TV's 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' Chooses Jimmy Jacobs Custom Homes to Help a Local Family Sunday December 10, 10:00 am ET Georgetown Custom Home Builder, 'Building a family's dream together' with hit TV show
GEORGETOWN, Texas, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- ABC-TV's hit television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has chosen a local Georgetown homebuilder, Jimmy Jacobs Custom Homes to build one special Austin family a life-changing gift. ADVERTISEMENT
One of the area's leading custom homebuilders, Jimmy Jacobs is set to begin construction on a new North Austin home for Patrick and Jeanette O'Donnell and their six children. With the help of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Ty Pennington and his expert design team, Jimmy Jacobs will help fulfill the O'Donnell family's dreams. Work on the home will begin December 12th, when Jacobs' crew and a team of volunteers will start the one-week marathon construction process in order to finish before the family returns. On Sunday, December 17th, the O'Donnell family will return from a trip to the Adaptive Sports Center at Crested Butte Ski Resort in Colorado for the grand unveiling of their new dream home, scheduled from 1 to 3 PM. Throughout the construction process and the unveiling activities, the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition crew will be filming for an episode of the show set to air in February/March 2007.
Of Patrick and Jeanette's six children, five have been diagnosed with autism. National autism experts are not aware of a single other family in the United States with five autistic children. Ranging in age from 15 to 5, the five children have been diagnosed with varying degrees of autism, from minimal to severe. The couple's fourth child, Meaghan, who shows no signs of autism, helps out as caretaker for her siblings. The wear and tear from the six children, five of whom have special needs, has taken its toll on the O'Donnell's home. The home's condition has grown hazardous, especially as some of the children get older and require ongoing care.
It is Jimmy Jacobs' attention to the unique needs and qualities of every family he serves that led Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to choose his company to join them on this project. Jimmy Jacobs Custom Homes is one of the top homebuilders in Central Texas, with a specialty in building high-quality, custom homes in Georgetown, Texas while also working to preserve its historic, small-town charm. After nearly 20 years in business, he has also developed some of the most sought-after communities in Central Texas. With proud homeowners in Georgetown, Highland Lakes, Round Rock, Austin, and New Braunfels, Jacobs has earned a reputation for his close attention to detailed, quality construction and his commitment to unmatched customer service. As part of the company's community efforts, Jimmy Jacobs Custom Homes has also developed an ongoing relationship with Habitat for Humanity. In past years, the Jacobs team has volunteered their time and services to build three different Habitat for Humanity homes in the Austin and Georgetown area.
"Our entire team is extremely excited and honored to be invited by Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to participate in such an extraordinary project," said Jimmy Jacobs. "As a company, we strive to always reach out and lend a helping
hand to the community, and it means a lot to us that we can help make this very special family's dreams come true."

Wow he's having triplets!! He already has a little boy right?
I hope Ed was Right handed and not a Lefty incase of fine motor skill loss. .....Was Ed ever given Professional Carpentry training, or is his self learned..... I hope they go back over with him the safety percausions of the equipment. His injury is exactly why I am scared of electric saws... one false move and no more painting, drawing or writing.

‘EXTREME MAKEOVER’ VISIT
Carpenter slices hand during project
Tuesday, November 21, 2006
Dennis Fiely
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Ed Sanders, a carpenter, awaits a physical-therapy session at Hand and Microsurgery Associates in Columbus.
An unexpected subplot emerged during the weekend on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition when a cast member suffered a serious hand injury while working in Whitehall.
"It’s going to be a big part of the show," Ed Sanders said yesterday during his first physical-therapy session at Hand and Microsurgery Associates on the Northwest Side.
The actor and carpenter, 31, was helping to put the finishing touches on the home of Jason and Kirsti Thomas on Saturday when he accidentally sliced the width of his left palm with the blade of an electric saw.
Medics rushed Sanders to the emergency room at Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he underwent four hours of surgery.
A camera crew documented his operation and recovery, Riverside spokeswoman Christina Fitzer said.
The additional footage includes a bedside visit from Ty Pennington, host of the ABC reality show.
On Sunday, the show concluded six days of shooting in the Columbus area — with the two-hour episode about the construction of the Thomas home expected to air in February.
Mr. Thomas, a 32-year-old father of five, is a former Marine who helped rescue police officers from the World Trade Center rubble after the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001.
The new twist adds medical drama to the story line.
Dr. Lawrence Lubbers repaired dozens of severed nerves, tendons and arteries in Sanders’ hand.
"Anytime someone takes on a . . . blade that’s moving at 11,000 rpm like Ed did, it’s going to be a bad injury," Lubbers said. "But it’s not uncommon for our practice. I saw three similar injuries last weekend."
Sanders was sculpting a U.S. flag in wood for the Thomas dining room when the accident occurred.
"It was horrendous," he said. "It took a massive load of meat out of my hand. I was sure my carpentry and acting careers were done and dusted."
Still, Lubbers said, Sanders should eventually expect "nearnormal function" in the hand.
"We were able to repair all of the structures precisely, but 50 percent of his outcome will depend on his rehabilitation. He needs to really work hard with his therapists."
Sanders was scheduled to fly home to Los Angeles today, Fitzer said, but might return to Columbus for checkups or more therapy.
Despite the dramatic premise of completing ambitious remodeling projects in five days, Sanders said, haste didn’t play a role in the accident.
"I never rush a project, and we have loads of guys to help."
He blamed himself for removing the safety guard.
"I want to get this message across to the audience: Don’t ever do that."
His only previous showrelated problem, he said, was a staph infection that developed from a foot blister.
Sanders grimaced in pain yesterday as therapist Kathy Villacres slowly removed his bandages.
"Oh, my God," he said upon inspecting the wound. "The fact that he (Lubbers) put everything back together is amazing."
The native of London, England, recently completed his second season with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
As of yesterday, he hadn’t told his wife about the severity of his injury.
"She’s pregnant with triplets, and I don’t want to upset her," he said. "She’s already had two miscarriages."
Sanders, who didn’t require a skin graft, has full movement in his fingers.
"It could have been worse," he said. "It could have left a couple of fingers on the floor."
can you say ouch, yikes! Yes indeed he is very lucky not to have some if not all of his fingers taken off. My old junior high shop teacher had an accident during shop class, and had 2 of his fingers taken off right in front of all of the kids.

Very interesting, but ( not saying that its a big thing ) the Koepke's live in Dundee, Wisconsin which is approx. 5 miles from Campbellsport, Wisconsin.

Here is a really cool map created to show Season 4, Where they have been, where they are, and where casting calls have gone out. Check it out look aroung the different states most of them have links. And let me know
what you think.
Since Ty has a new web site, I decided to start a group named after that site. I just started it today so I don't think it will be in the directory yet. But that's Ok. I don't have any pics in the photo albums yet. Here is a link I think will work to subscribe. Come check it out.
Yesterday I got the chance to be up close to the action of the extreme
rebuilding of the Koepke home. The Koepke family live not to far from
the village of Campbellsport, WI ( a village where I lived earlier in
my childhood ). The house was coming along pretty quickly on day 4, the
structure frame, the outside walls, the 2nd story, the roof, the
windows were pretty much all done ( Note : the rebuilding was behind
schuedule due to some huge severe thunderstorm masses going through the
entire central/southern part of Wisconsin ). The spectator section was
closed down early due to the severe storms as well, but I did get to
meet Michael & Paige in person .. very nice people indeed, :)
I also took some pictures of the work site, the construction workers,
the volunteers, Michael, Paige, and Ed Sanders. I'll post them as soon
as I get the film developed. The episode featuring the Kopeke family
will air November 26th on ABC.

I haven't been to a makeover. However, word has it from my best friend in Ohio. That a former cop that was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident about 3 yrs ago just got an extreme makeover on his house courtesy of Sears and Extreme Makeover Home Edition ( Ty made an appearance, but not the rest of the cast ). He lives across the road from where " I " lived. I lived with my best friend for about a year, I moved back home to Wisconsin 2 weeks prior to the makeover ( bummer ).
