The Second Chance Campaign: Petition to keep Ty Pennington on as ho   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #121 of 239 |
Everybody knows about Ty's misfortune last weekend and now with him
facing DUI charges and possible jail time, a lot of his fans have
turned their backs on him in disappointment. However, polls show
that at least 3/4 of his fans aren't letting his actions affect
their opinion of him.

However, I have recently discovered that there have been rumors
floating around that ABC is considering firing Ty from the show, and
many fans are worried for him. Although ABC hasn't released any news
on whether or not they plan to keep him as host of EM:HE, it's too
much of a risk to be taken lightly to devoted fans of both Ty and
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, considering what good he does and
how much of an impact his termination as host would have on the
show. This is why I have started a petition at gopetition.com
called "The Second Chance Campaign".
http://www.gopetition.com/online/12177.html
It will be addressed to ABC and it is aimed at keeping Ty on as host
of the show.

One of the many life lessons we all have learned from EM:HE is about
giving people second chances. Ty has been a freedom fighter for the
right of other people to live the American Dream, the dream to own a
home and live happily with your family, ever since the beginning of
the show, right alongside Michael, Tracy, Paul, Paige, Preston, Ed,
Eduardo, Tanya, and Johnny, and he wishes to be able to do it for
more families. He's given hope to so many people and so many
families, and now it's up to us to make his dream come true. Despite
his error in judgement last Saturday, Ty is still considered to be a
True American Hero, and its going to take more than a DUI to change
that. Please consider signing, because it might make a world of
difference in the life of a man who just wants a chance to help
others.
