Bobbie knew her father was macho worried, and it showed when he seemed
obvious to everything but the pen and paper. She looked out the
window at the passing senery, and her own mind went to work over some
calming simple theories that her father taught her.
As Don sped toward the house, he notices that his brother was doing
some math and that his niece was staring blankly out the window. He
knew better than to disturb them, as most likely she was doing what
her father was doing, mentally. The house comes into view, and he
pulls into the driveway. "We're here." He announced and helps his
niece out of the car.

happened to her. He shakes his head to rid the thoughts, but they
stay. He decides to works some equations for Don's case. He pulls a
small memo book and pen from the glove compartment of the car and
starts, becoming completely comsumed with the math.
