RTA is the abbreviation for Road to Avonlea, an adaptation of LMM's books
(The Story Girl, The Golden Road, Chronicles of Avonlea, and Further
Chronicles of Avonlea). It ran from 1989/90-1996. 7 seasons in all. So no it
is not Emily of New Moon (although an RTA veteran, Marlene Matthews a writer
and producer, created EoNM).

November 8 is the day the Disney release of RTA comes out. Even if you have
never seen this series, it is something that everyone must invest in. It is
an awesome series.

And IT IS AFFORDABLE! $35 bucks plus tax. Sullivan's RTA dvds cost anywhere
between $45-$100 bucks. So Disney is giving us a really good bargain.

In fact, it is safe to say, if RTA had never been a series (although one has
to go even further back to the two Anne movies technically) we would never
would have had an Emily series.
