EastEnders

It's Denise and Lucas's wedding day in EastEnders this week which can mean only
one thing - murder.

If you thought the groom's decision to let ex-wife Trina bleed to death a couple
of months ago was gruesome then prepare to be shocked as this time he murders
with his own hands. Or, to be more precise, with his own bow tie.

The drama unfolds after Denise's ex Owen works out that Lucas was there when
Trina died and tries to stop his latest wedding from going ahead.

Owen turns up at Denise's hen night and tries to get her to call the wedding off
but she doesn't want to hear.

When Lucas finds out what Owen's been saying, he rushes to confront him just
hours before the ceremony and tells him to stay away from Denise and to leave
Walford for good. Or else.

Owen refuses to leave and insists that he will tell everyone exactly what Lucas
is like and in the scuffle that follows Lucas takes off his bow tie and
strangles Denise's ex to gag him for good. Best use of a bow tie in a soap ever?

Will Denise find out what Lucas is really like in time to stop the wedding?

Also this week, the Mitchells desperately try to find Sam and Patrick's
horrified by Liz's secret.
  ===============================

Coronation Street

Carla returns to Weatherfield for good this week after getting a call from the
police to tell her that Tony's been charged with Liam's murder.

However, as she's unaware of exactly what her ex has told the police, Carla
knows she has to tread carefully and her first stop is at Maria's to fish for
details.

Maria, unsurprisingly, is still in shock over Tony's confession and Carla
struggles to get any useful information from her.

Factory boss Carla doesn't want anyone, especially Maria, to know that the
reason she fled to LA in the first place was because she found out that Tony was
behind Liam's death.

Now, all she has to do is convince the police that she is as surprised as
everyone else.

There's all the small matter of Tony's henchman Jimmy. Carla wrongly believes
that she killed him during her last brief visit to Weatherfield. Will this
incident come back to haunt her?

Also this week, Audrey isn't impressed with Gail's news and Sophie arrives home
while Kevin and Molly are in bed at the Webster's.

Ex-EastEnder Kacey Ainsworth said she's happy to be associated with the soap -
comparing her situation to that of Fawlty Towers star Prunella Scales.

The actress, who played battered wife Little Mo in the Walford show, left the
role in 2006 to spend more time with her family.

Asked if people still associate her with Albert Square, she said: "Yes, but I
don't mind being associated with it - it's not something I'm embarrassed of."

She went on: "I always had nice feedback from it, so as an actor you have to say
if you have one character in your whole career that sticks in people's minds
you've done an amazing job."

Kacey, who has worked with Prunella in the play Carrie's War, said of her
co-star: "People always talk to her about Fawlty Towers but she did six episodes
of that programme. She says it's a wonderful thing to be associated with a
character that stuck in people's minds all this time. She's very proud of it and
I feel much the same about Little Mo. I thought she was a lovely character, she
was a labour of love, created over long period of time."

EastEnders bosses have launched a competition to remix the soap's famous theme
tune for its online spin-off series.

E20 is a 13-part web miniseries following a group of new, young characters that
will tie in with the soap's 25th anniversary celebrations.

Deborah Sathe, E20 producer, said of the contest: "I am looking for a fresh take
on the classic EastEnders theme tune - one that will become the fanfare for a
show which celebrates London life, and what it's like to be young in the capital
- all in the space of 30 seconds!"

EastEnders' executive producer Diederick Santer added: "I have no idea what to
expect with this and that excites me hugely. That's what's brilliant about the
entire project - we're asking a whole new set of people to come at EastEnders
from a fresh angle and to surprise us - and the audience - with what they do."

The winning remix will become the theme for E20, and the winner will get to
spend a day at BBC Elstree working with the show music producer and seeing
behind the scenes of the soap.

Sample elements of the recently rescored theme tune - including the famous
whistles and drum beats - can be downloaded from E20's official website.

Entries must be uploaded before 1pm on Monday, November 30.

I don't think that's a spoiler really. I think that was in the cards from the
moment they returned to the Square. Just like it's in the cards that after they
get married, something will happen to break them up again. It's only a matter of
time.

It's one of the few things in life that we can all rely on.

Subject: Mystery as Archie turns up to his OWN funeral in EastEnders SPOILER
janette1970

It's a haunting image that would surely even get battleaxe Peggy Mitchell
jumping out of her skin.

These pictures show the Queen Vic matriarch's on-screen husband Archie
seemingly turning up to his own funeral.

The twisted character is one of the most villainous on Albert Square, so
there is no shortage of suspects when he is murdered at Christmas.

Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) films scenes for her on-screen husband
Archie's funeral who, eerily, is standing right behind her

But the evil character has not come back from the dead and in fact Larry
Lamb, who plays Archie, was just visiting his co-stars on set in north
London

But viewers - and indeed Peggy - need not worry.

Archie has not actually come back from the dead. Larry Lamb, 62, who plays
Archie just popped along to the shoot to keep his co-stars company.

Fans of the show won't find out who killed him until next February, when his
killer is unmasked during EastEnders' 25th anniversary live episode.

According to Inside Soap magazine, the murder mystery will be solved on
February 19, when the show will be broadcast live for the first time.

There have been so many reports that MailOnline is giving nothing away in
confirming the evil man will be bumped off at Christmas.

The killing will spark a classic whodunnit with several suspects in the
frame, including Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks), Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha
Womack), Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor), Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden)
and Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons).

A source told Inside Soap: 'With the big 25th anniversary coming up, the
pressure is on to make it unmissable - especially as the episode will be
broadcast live.

'The Mitchells have to be at the heart of it, and what better way to
celebrate all that's great about EastEnders than to unmask the culprit on
such an important day? Fans will be kept guessing until the very end.'

An EastEnders spokeswoman said: 'It's fantastic that speculation and
excitement is building around our 25th Anniversary storylines, but it is too
early for us to reveal anything as we really want to keep it a surprise for
our viewers.'

Scenes for Archie's funeral were being filmed in north London on Monday.

Those at his funeral include Mitchell's Peggy and son Phil, Ronnie, Roxy
(Rita Simmons), Ben (Charlie Jones) and Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Shirley
Carter (Linda Henry).

Other characters including Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), Stacey Slater (Lacey
Turner), Bradley Branning (Charlie Clemments) and Jack Branning (Scott
Maslen).

Lamb, who plays Archie as well as Gavin's father in BBC comedy Gavin And
Stacey, said he had asked producers not to tell him who was killing him
off - in case he let slip.

Last month he revealed that he based the character on his father, Ronald,
who died last year. They had not spoken for 15 years.

'From the start I based Archie Mitchell on my father - my dad was a very
screwed up man and emotionally damaged from his childhood.

'Just like Archie, my dad was absolutely convinced of his rightness and
sanity and thought he was completely justified in everything he did.
Everybody else is at fault, but he's fine,' he told the Daily Mirror.

'Archie is the same. As far as he's concerned, he's perfectly sane. But the
truth is, he's twisted. That twisted, dark, nasty side of me comes from my
father.'

EastEnders' Adam Croasdell has achieved every boy's dream of getting to play
James Bond - but for a video game rather than the big screen.

The actor, who plays sexy doctor Al Jenkins in Albert Square, revealed the role
in an interview with BBC Asian Network.

He said: "Oddly enough I have just played James Bond in the new James Bond video
game - how weird is that? I don't know what the future holds, but I'm always
into varying up what comes my way, trying new things."

He went on: "I think video games and the making of that type of technology,
being in a funny one-piece suit and being shot with 60 cameras, I think that's
sort of the future.

"Andy Serkis did it in The Hobbit, and there's a new film Avatar which is James
Cameron - it's all that sort of motion capture. I think it's the future, so I
was fascinated to see how that would happen."

The new Bond game is expected to be released next year.

How often is a character's age mentioned? They must have wanted to cover

Family reasons? No, Babs quit the Queen Vic '£54,000 pay cut' | Mail
OnlineBarbara Windsor quit EastEnders following a row with producers over
her £360,000 salary, her co-star has revealed.

Miss Windsor, 72, who plays Queen Vic landlady Peggy Mitchell, this week
announced she is leaving the BBC1 soap after more than 15 years. She said
she wanted to spend more time with her family. However, Larry Lamb, who
plays her deceitful ex-husband Archie, confirmed there was more to the
departure than meets the eye.

Mr Lamb, 66, told the Daily Mail: 'The show was her life and soul and I'm
really shocked that she is going. She loves that show and we're all like her
family. Something has happened to upset her.'

Miss Windsor, pictured, whose husband Scott Mitchell is 26 years her junior,
admitted it had been a tough decision. She said: 'I'm looking forward to the
future and I suppose when all's said and done I should spend a bit more time
with my old man, as he's not getting any younger.'

But sources said producers had cut back on her episodes and allegedly asked
her to take a £54,000 pay cut.

Mr Lamb also stressed that Miss Windsor had not been suffering any
ill-health or that her departure was due to long working hours. 'Yes, the
hours are long when you have more episodes, but the truth is that there is
rarely a day when you put in 14 hours without getting two days off
afterwards,' he added. 'She is as fit as a fiddle, there is no problem with
her health.'

Responding to his comments, Miss Windsor said: 'It is well known I was upset
when I was told the lovely Larry was leaving - but that is not the reason I
am going. 'I would never give up my job for any man - except my husband and
that is why I'm leaving.'

The BBC said that it did not discuss cast members' contracts.

Darren's date of birth is listed as January 27, 1991. So that puts him at
18, almost 19. He first appeared on the show September 6, 2004 at age 13.

How could Darren be 19? He was 12 or 13 when he joined the show. When
exactly was that? It can't be 6 years.

Debbie, I think you may have missed some emails. I have read quite a few
opinions and none have been favourable. Most of us seem to be pretty
disgusted, some have even said they will no longer watch EEs which is a
shame, but I quite understand, it is a gross result to a very interesting
story line. I personally would have liked it to be Billy, he would make a
good Dad he just needs, like Heather, to be loved. Joan

I'm surprised the no one has mention this yet, but, is anyone else as
completely grossed out as I am by the idea that Darren is the father of
Heather's baby?

Aside from the fact that it has got to be the least believeable story turn
ever, it's just disgusting. How old is he?

The question of Darren's age should be answered by how old is Demi who is
his twin. They joined the cast in 2004 so if she was 13 when she had her
baby then he is now 18. If mama Heather was 18 and daddy 40 something, he
would be considered a pig unless he was a wealthy movie star.

Yes, Billy would have been believable at least. And Billy would have made
for a good story.

If it was one of the blonde bunnies that Darren went with, it would have
been more believable - it would have been a 'Summer of 42' type situation.
You could have seen how he would be seduced. And Ronnie & Roxy are also 10
years younger than Heather. This outcome makes no sense and seems to have
been picked at random.

But beyond that, there has been so much misplaced sperm in Albert Square
over the years, that I'm starting to wonder if Maury Povich is their
storyliner.

Darren was hanging around Heather and Shirl at the club that night, saw how
upset Heather was over the yoghurt to, and retrieved it for her. I guess
things went on from there.

If he's old enough to be sexually involved with Libby then same goes for
Heather. And while I like Billy, he is financially unable to care for yet
another child, whereas Darren can.

As for it messing things up with Libby, he should have kept it in his pants,
or at the very least used a condom.
