Shirley is finally set to discover Heather's secret in EastEnders.

On Monday, the chip fryer becomes convinced that something isn't quite right
when her best mate hides her cigarettes and turns down an offer to spend the
afternoon boozing in the park.

However, she doesn't put two and two together until she follows the
launderette worker to the antenatal clinic.

Shirley is stunned to discover her friend is pregnant and advises her to
have an abortion, saying some women aren't cut out for motherhood.

When Heather reveals it's too late for that, her mate then insists she
should put the baby up for adoption.

Heather tries to explain that she wants to be a mum, but perhaps she should
be glad her friend is so obsessed with her giving the baby up, as at least
it's distracting her from asking awkward questions about the father...
