Hey Brenda,

They make special mouthwash now for kids that colors there teeth when they
have not been brushed throughly; I can't think who makes it though.  There is
also another brand that makes one that shows all the dirt they missed after they
spit the mouth wash out.  It will show all the plaque and grime in the sink.

Another idea is to let them pick out his or her own tooth brush.  They make
a lot of different kids brushes now.  Thye also make some now that plays popular
pop songs while they are brushing and the music stops when they stop.

Just some ideals....
Joy

I'm the same way Terry. I'm trying to teach my son not to be like I was growing
up. Too many cavities, etc. I'm up for suggestions if anyone has them to make
brushing fun for him. I do not want him to be in my shoes or others in my
family.

Kris: I certainly would agree with you. Not having Hollywood smile is not a
detractor insofar as who you are or what you are. In fact I would trust someone
without the Hollywood smile further than someone with it. Like you said it is
superficial and a vane thing in some ways. On the other hand it might be an
indicator that someone cares about their dental health too! I am one who was not
made to take care of his teeth as a child. I pay for it now in my trips to the
dentist. No I don't go for a cleaning or a check up. I go when I can't stand the
pain.......better to take care of them while you are young if you can. I know my
teeth could have used an intervention many years ago, but too late now.
