A heads-up:
As NBC has now scheduled a Dateline NBC special on the octuplets for "SVU's" regular Tuesday 10:00 PM ET/PT slot, this week's (Tuesday 2/10) scheduled episode, "Transitions" will now air on Tuesday, February 17 in the regular time slot (Note: The episode that was to have been Stephanie March's return that had originally been scheduled for that night had previously been postponed to Tuesday, March 10 as the "February Sweeps" for this year only were pushed back to March as Tuesday 2/17 was originally supposed to have been the conversion date to DTV, which now has been pushed back to June 12).
I'm suspecting NBC would have actually done this on Wednesday 2/11 and pre-empted the mothership (original series), but NBC likely found out too many of its affiliates in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) markets were already going to either outright pre-empt Wednesday's 9:00-11:00 PM ET lineup or delay it until either the overnight or Saturday/Sunday due to carrying an over-the-air telecast of North Carolina-Duke, the biggest rivalry in all of college basketball. That includes possibly Boston, Baltimore-Washington, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Atlanta and Miami among major markets. While that game does air nationally on ESPN, that coverage is blacked out in ACC markets where it is normally seen over-the-air.
