Thanks to John, Cheryl, and Tieranny,
It was great hearing your ideas and thoughts about the next season. I believe each one has valid points concerning just one suggestion that was thrown out there. Group majority usually rules in our decisions.
Personally, since I grew up reading Marvel Comics back in the 60's where Stan Lee never hesitated to use guest stars from other books, I really liked the idea. I still like the idea of guest stars if they fit into historical time periods (I'd like to use General Custer in CW but since he died in '76, it can't happen). This being said, I have no problem proceeding without guest stars from other television/movie westerns. If the group prefers not to do it, I'm 100% okay with that decision. I can always write something on my own if it was that important -- it isn't.
I was also concerned about the future of our group since a total of 86 episodes of LD are now done (43 from TV's seasons 1 and 2 -- 43 from the group's seasons 3 and 4) and ideas could be slim.
Cheryl, Joe Briggs would be good to use and we never get an exact year (we know AS&J is the 1880's from all literature on the show). I hope you'll continue to share your thoughts and suggestions.
Another thing, Christine came up with the idea of killing off Twyla during the August weekend with Scott and Paul. This opens up new possibilities for the sporting house as does the general store with Cheerful Creel's demise. Hopefully, things will develop for these buildings or else we'll likely assume Clay Mosby taking over their management/ownership.
It's important not to detour from the original two seasons too much but we also have to move forward each season. Difficult jobs but we can do it as a group. If Cheryl ever gets five minutes of free breathing time from all her duties, she could create a character and/or control an episode.
What I did was throw out a suggestion. You guys did great responding. Keep the ideas and suggestions pouring out -- we need them. We should decide things as a group. The majority has spoken regarding guest stars from other shows. Their voices prevail.
