I just got through watching this episode and I am absolutely
incandescent with rage and disappointment. I CANNOT believe that
judge reduced the charges in the bumfight case to misdemeanors. How
could he look at the smirking faces of those soulless evil little
bastards and basically give them a little patty-cake on the hand for
what they did. For what they are going to continue to do?! How could
he make such a decision after watching those videos, after watching
their smirking faces and their amusement at the mayhem they were
creating?

I forget - when were these epidodes filmed? Is there anywhere we can
write to protest or at least register our disgust with such a
horrendous decision? I've seen this judge wuss out once before on
this show - he's afraid to take the hard line, afraid to dispense
justice to those who so richly deserve it. And if anyone deserved it -
it was those rotten, evil brats.

To watch them and their attorneys laughing and smirking during the
testimony of their victims was simply disgusting. Those vile,
repulsive little sadists were sickening to watch. To paraphrase the
one witness "Is this what's going to run the world?" With such as
them at the helm what we can we expect? It's too horrible to even
contemplate. And for the judge to sit there and allow the one
attorney to stand there and deliberately hammer away at the victim
who was obviously mentally unstable was nothing short of a crime in
itself.

I apologize for babbling here but I am so very very angry at what I
just witnessed. The deliberate victimization of those less fortunate
than ourselves and in such a manner makes my skin crawl. There but
for the grace of God go you or I or a family member. One can only
hope that true justice comes for those fiends who cooked this up.
Stuff like this makes me despair of the next generation and for the
future of mankind.

Is anybody else watching Crime and Punishment besides me? I enjoy
every single episode and wish this could be a year round rather than
a summer affair.

The latest episode was intersting because it showed a little of the
defense's perspective in that case with the pig.

I thought the defense attorney in the fraud case was terrible. I
couldn't believe he refused the original 10 year plea agreement for
the con man.

Hope the show gets good ratings so it can continue!

The drag racers will at least do some jail time for their criminal
negligence. I think the two deserved their convictions, although it
could have been a lot worse for them. It was a little tacky of the
defense to blame the law abiding vehicle for the accident, but thats
a strategy I guess that I shouldn't be surprised at.

Whatever happened to Crime and Punishment. It was such a good show. I
never heard anything about it being canceled or anything. It just
disappeared.

You can call the San Diego District Attrny's office and actually speak with the attorny that tried the case on the show. I received a copy of my now husband (Jesus Vasquez) episode from Chris Lindberg who was the DA in my husbands case. Ironic, I know. Just call 1411 to get the S.D. DA's office phone number. Good Luck!

I know that you and everyone else thinks he's a monster but he really isn't. And how the hell do you know if he's remorsful? And I hate to bust your bubble but he'll be out within 10 years because through an appeal he had the "to life" removed from his sentence due to prejudical reasons with the cameras in the court room. Also, were getting married on Sept. 27, 2003 and I have no fear that he'll ever hurt me. He now see's the damage he's caused and would never do it again and would give his life to take it back. I don't excuse
his actions but if you'd take a moment to imagine how you'd feel if someone your in love with so much cheated on you. That's no reason to kill someone but in that moment of finding out your in shock and may do something you would normally never do. Also, he didn't stab her 50 times in the privates. Once in the privates and 26 times elsewhere, and that is still alot, I know, but facts are facts, don't make it worse than it already is. Kerri V.

crime and punishment does NOT fairly portray both sides. Last season
my now boyfriend/fiancee Jesus Vasquez "Chuy" was convicted of
stabbing his then girlfriend to death. He knows what he did was wrong
and he is now paying the price, but the filmmakers and D.A.'s office
made Chuy out to be some non-remorsfull monster, which he is NOT!!!
He would give his life to bring her back. He is not the evil monster
that he was made out to be. He loves his daughter with all his heart
and soul, and he is good to me. I love him with all my heart and he
loves me as well. My point is that not ONE person in his family or
anyone who was there to support him was ever shown or interviewed,
only the D.A., and the victims family!! Futhermore, when he reacted
the way he did in the courtroom brawl, it was Not to attack Chris
Lindberg, the D.A., he felt as though justice was not served and he
went for the baliff's gun so he could attempt escape. He felt he had
nothing to loose, but his intentions weren't to harm anyone, not even
Lindberg, yet time and time again I read that he "charged after the
D.A.". His then girlfriend did not deserve to die for her attempted
unfaithfullness, but if you have ever been in love and cheated on,
think of the horrible rage that overcame you. I've been there. I know
how it feels.

I had a son, who is now six year old, and his mother
has become a neurotic witch. She has accused me of
stuff that looks just like that episode. This is for
real -- the District Attorney is trying to figure it
out right now, and I've hired a lawyer. I'm having
flashbacks to the McMartin Preschool situation --
being innocent didn't help those folks either.

I would really appreciate if anyone can suggest a way
to get a copy of that episode within the next week or
two. I'll pay any price within reason. I'm trying to
find a contact within Wolf Films, Shape Pictures,
Anonymous Content and Universal Television
Distribution, but the web sites aren't much help.

The funny thing is, my wife taped the episode (we were
out of state) and watched it later. A week after that,
after the tape was overwritten, the local sheriff
dropped by to ask some questions. When we finally got
a look at the allegations a few days ago, my wife told
me about this episode.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I watched. I'm not sure if he commited those crimes. I think that the
lady was also lying, although I'm pretty sure she was being more
truthful then him. I think she lied about the mailbox thing, it makes
more sense that she would put money in the mailbox for drugs then gas
money.I'm sure there was some type of kidnap-rape involved, but to
what extent, idk.

What did u think?
