I am not sure how this will be, it is so good with all the bad
language in there and it can't maintain that I'm sure.
I'm so happy series 3 hasn't lost any of its spark and the latest
episode featuring Sally and Patricks girlfriends in the bathroom was
hilarious.
And I love the way it gets all serious then ends with a joke. I hope
patrick and Sally get it together!
In my opinion...they will create it,m and it will be funny, and might even last
a few season, but it will NEVER be as funny as BBC's version. I watched it
again last night, and heard Susan ask Patrick if his dick did all the thinking
for him. You are right. It will never make it through the cencors...even
though those are the funniest parts. I remember the first time I heard the word
"Bitch" on American TV. It was on Married with Children and I was SHOCKED, that
they said it on primetime TV. Too bad...it's just too damn funny to miss...

Jim,
Perhaps since the creators of Coupling are working on it for NBC
there might be a chance it will have some of the magic of the
original. NBC can't show the original series... it would never get
through the censors.
I think you're probably right and it won't last a single season. It's
too bad you've only seen season one. Of course that has my favorite
episode in it... "The girl with two breasts". Anat Dychtwald has to
be one of the most beautiful women I've ever laid eyes on.
I hope you get to see the next two seasons soon. They are excellent.
And Jim... it's Guy not Gary. :-)

Hi Gary!
Thanks so much for sharing your enthusiasm with the group! Not having
BBC America, I have only been able to see the first season, and I am
dying to see the rest. Fortunatley, I taped the first season before
PBS dropped the show from its line-up. So, at least I have that to
keep me happy. I was devistated to learn that NBC is making
a 'Coupling' rip-off. It is going to be just another 'Friends', and
probably won't even last one season. Instead, I think that NBC should
air the original British 'Coupling'.

Hi All,
Just thought I'd pop in and say I'm a huge fan like everyone here.
I've been keeping abreast of season 3 by downloading the episodes off
the net. I couldn't wait until BBC-America starts showing them... so
I get them shortly after they are aired (I think).
Thank God for the internet. I have seen all 5 episodes from season 3
and can say it's as fresh as ever and Jeff still keeps me in
stitches. I am NOT looking forward to the American version. I can't
possibly see how they can make it any better than the British version.
Even though I have the episodes on my computer I pre-ordered the
season 1 DVD today and hope season 2 follows shortly.
Someone here said there is nothing as good on American TV as
Coupling. I agree there isn't a comedy that can touch it.
Even though we're still in the middle of season 3 I'm hoping we see
another season.
Guy
Hey everyone sorry i haen't been here in a long, long, (relly) long
time. I got two jobs and it not easy finding anything on Coupling on
the net until today when i found the annoucement about the First
series of Coupling coming to the US on Region 1 DVD. A great moment
for fans of the series in the U.S. The release date is on january
21st 2003 you can preorder it at Best Buy or BBC America websites.
the picture of the Cover is in the Default Album, enjoy.
How were they presented on PBS? Were they full frame pan and scan or
16x9 letterboxed? They are presented letterboxed on BBC2 and I do
have some letterboxed versions, but only some of series 2 and so far
series 3. BBC America presents them full frame. The letterboxed
ones look so much better, brighter colors, sharper picture.

Hi, Lord of Time!
I too am a huge 'Coupling' fan! I was first introduced to
this show last winter, when my local PBS station began airing
season one. I completely fell in love with it, and was devistated
when PBS dropped the show after only the first season. Since
I do not get BBC America, I am forced to watch season one
over and over again for my 'Coupling' fix- thank goodness I
taped season one when I did. I'm sure the Americanized 'Coupling'
will be really dumb, and basically will be a 'Friends'- part two.
Take Care!

I just saw episode 303, "Unconditional Sex", and Susan uses the "F"
word. BBC America will probably censor it. Personally, I'm against
censorship. The line was "Careful Jeff, she's headed for the 'F--k Me
Fork'.".
Hi,
I've been watching Coupling since 2000, and it's a brilliantly done
show. Hopefully the americanized version being developed for NBC
will be just as good (we can only hope, the only other britcom
adaptation that was successful was Sanford and Son).
Anyway here's a list of series 3 episodes so far:
1. Split
2. Faithless
3. Unconditional Sex
Seen the first two, very good. Split was done very well for a show
that was done almost entirely split screen, one half following Steve,
the other following Susan.
You can purchase it new from Blackstar UK ( here is the link)
http://www.blackstar.co.uk/
They ship internationally with fairly reasonable rates.
I think the series 1 dvd will run you about 29-30 bucks american.
I'm new to the group btw, hi.

hi everyone,
i'm new to this group. i've been watching 'coupling' on bbc america
and i think it's a great show! it's so funny. at first i thought it
was a 'friend's' knock off, but this show is definately more creative
and original. anyway, i can't wait for episode 3! i did a web search
and there's an article that say's nbc has bought the right's
to 'coupling' and will be producing it in america with american
actors. i think they should keep the original cast. anyway, thanks
for starting this group...

Check out your local PBS stations. They are airing them in Boston and
even in Vermont! Chances are, if Vermont has jumped on the 'Coupling'
bandwagon- than most other PBS stations have already done so.
