Abba Father,  we come in Jesus and we pray for Your hand of great mercy to bring us more and more to our place of prayer.  Knowing that we are in great need of Your guidance.  Knowing that only You have the answers to our lives. May we not walk in our past experience with You, but seek You fresh and new each day.  May we not take counsel with those who struggle with the same problems we have and who have no victory over their struggles.  May we not want to hear those who reaffirm us in our waywardness but seek those who walk in power of overcoming the hard situations in life, those who walk by Your Word and walk in obedience to all the truth they have learned from You.  May we seek You in prayer and times of fasting to mean business with You for our personal life and for those in need of our prayers those You ask us to pray for. 

 

"So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive His mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need."  (Hebrews 4:16 Living Bible)

 

Holy God, You have given us a great privilege in prayer to be able to approach You, the God of all creation.  You tell us to come boldly before You.  May we come with great respect but with bold assurance because You love us and You are our Counselor. As we speak with You we are placing our trust in You and confidence that You hear us and will answer us.  Thank You

 

"Then I declared a fast while we were at the Ahava River so that we would humble ourselves before our God; and we prayed that He would give us a good journey and protect us, our Children, and our goods as we traveled. (Ezra 8:21 LB)

 

Abba Father, may we not pray glibly and superficially but inter into serious prayer that will require concentration.  Fasting is a way to humble ourselves and remember that we are totally dependent on You, to bring forth the answer to every thing in our lives.  May we not reduce You to a quick-service pharmacist with painkillers for our every ailment.  But may we come  with deep sincerity of heart and at time to fast and spend that time with You in Your Word and in prayer.  Noting sacrificed nothing gained.  Jesus, You sacrificed Your place in heaven to come walk on this earth in bodily form as man.  May we learn to sacrifice food or time or TV or whatever to spend time in crying out to You our God for the needs of those who live and walk in darkness.  Call out to You for our Nation, for our leaders.  If we the Church would rise up and be the Church and be the body of Christ on this earth what could we accomplish for Your Kingdom. 

 

O God, I cray out to You this day to make of me one who will truly be a seeker of You and be a light in the darkness.  I give You my time, my appetite, my work, my leisure time, my love, my desires, my passions, take my all.  May I be a key to unlock the door and help set the captives free from the grasp of darkness.  May each one, who pray with me this day, search their hearts also to see where they stand with You and what You have for them.  Make of us all mighty warriors for Your Kingdom.  May many come to You because we call their names in prayer before the  Your Throne, our Most High God.

 

We come Abba Father, in Jesus, we come to stand boldly before You with heart of love for our brother Clay.  Father, we have watch things come forth in Clay's life this past year that we would have never dreamed.  Your love is so strong for Clay and You care for him.  You formed him with purpose in mind.  We come before You this day with hearts that cry out for Your great purpose and Your great Will to come into Clay's life.  That he will rise in the power of the Holy Spirit to walk with You in every area of his life.  That You will make a way for him to walk in Your plan.  May Clay receive a fresh hunger for You and seek out strong believers to talk with and share his heart with. Bring to Clay Your Children that will lift him up to higher ground in his faith and spirit.  We ask that if there are those around him who are not good for him or are keeping him from his purpose that You will remove them and that he will let them go.  If their are any around him who are lost in sin we ask for their salvation and for their lives to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.  For nothing is more important for Clay, the man, than his relationship with You.  May nothing around Clay or in Clay divert him from You and from his future relationship in You and his purpose for You. That Your light may shine throughClay for all the world to see what a great God we serve.  Thank You, our Lord, for Your hearing our cry and for answering in Your timing, we give You Praise.

 

Again our Father, we ask nothing for Clay that we do not ask for our own lives.  May our purpose be fulfilled and may we to let go any thing in our lives that is holding us back from our place in Your plan.  May we to hunger for a fresh and special time with You.  Show us ourselves and give us victory over all that is trying to pull us back in defeat. Give us the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit to go forth in all You have for each of us.   All You You our Lord and God, all for You we ask these things.  Amen and Amen
