Description
Nihao! This Yahoo!Group is for past and future attendees of the Browncoat Ball.
In 2004, the Chicagoland Browncoats hosted the first Browncoat Ball - a weekend of dancing, mingling and general browncoat revelry, themed around the ball on Persephone, from the Firefly episode Shindig. It was such a great success that the Browncoat Ball is now an annual event, held in a different city each year. Like the olympics, but with more frippery.
The second pseudo-annual Browncoat Ball was hosted by the San Francisco Browncoats in 2006. It was a spectacular weekend-long event that drew in 150 browncoat attendees from across the United States, Canada and Australia.
In 2007, Firefly/Serenity "Flans" descended upon Philadelphia for another Browncoat Ball, hosted by the Pennsylvania Browncoats.
In 2008, the Austin Browncoats will host the Browncoat Ball in their fair city, the capitol of Texas, Austin.
