I never minded most of that stuff, as BW was a more "domestic" show than SMDM.
Kenneth Johnson has often said those humorous bionic moments came from "Wouldn't
it be funny if..." ideas that WE would do if we were bionic.

her bionics than bending outside patio umbrellas down and stuff like that on the
show. The show went thru a run where the bad guys weren't really bad guys

her with bubbles, you know like I said it was a little too antiseptic. In
contrast to the new recent bionic woman show where the new Jaime went out and
seemed to enjoy killing then they'd try to show us that Jaime was this all
caring and sympathic person to her little sister. That didn't cut it either.

Paul, Rod, Jim, Lorraine, Stephen, Scott, Evy, Betsy, and everyone else who's
attending Lindsay's ceremony, I sure wish I was going to be there with you guys.
Make sure to take lots of pics! If it's anything like Richard's event from 2007,
and the weather cooperates, it should be a great time.

Is anyone from the group in Palm Springs, yet? Been here a couple of hrs..
Don't know what to do until tomorrow.

Does anyone know are they allowing video cameras in the private event
(reception)? And or at the event following the star dedication?

Just want to make sure what's allowed.

Well fellow bionic fans.. Have a Great Weekend.. Hope to see you in P.S.

"Jaime's Bionic Bake-Off"

In this thrilling episode, one of Jaime's students brings a homemade dessert
that leaves her entire class paralyzed with hallucinations. In efforts to find a
cure she must infiltrate a Parent Teacher's Association meeting to uncover the
secret formula to Mrs. Johnson's blueberry muffins.

YES!!! Now THIS is what I'm talking about!! I always felt we needed a Steve
Austin figure that sports an outfit from an actual episode. I will probably want
this figure more than the red suit Steve since he only wore that one two or
three times in the series. He sported the khaki outfit numerous times. If they
ever consider making Jaime Sommers for a Bionic Woman line, they should consider
outfits like Sister Jaime, Savage Sommers, Gypsi Jaime from "Black Magic", and
the list goes on. As for other outfits for Steve, what about one of those
leisure suits or his astronaut suit. Anyway, I am definitely getting this one!!!
Cheers.

Yeah, thanks Paul. This was great.

So are Lindsay and Linda really great friends or were they exaggerating that
part?

My dad met Linda Carter back in the 70's and he went on and on about how nice
and beautiful she was (my mom got sick of the story really fast! LOL).

Last night I listened to the commentaries on Doomsday is Tomorrow, episodes one
and two. These are great episodes and I loved the commentary. I could listen to
many more commentaries by Kenny. He is always a fun listen. Lots of good info,
interesting behind the scenes stuff, and explanations about why they did things
the way they did. Kenny seems like a really good guy too. He's funny, witty and
I like how he's honest about the things he likes and doesn't like about a
particular episode. He doesn't pull any punches or act like everything he did
was great. So I really appreciate that.

I know some of you have met him. What's he like in person? I actually ordered
the complete Hulk series yesterday, in part because of Kenny. But mostly because
I loved that show as a kid:)

I've never met Kenny but after I got the SMDM DVD set and listened to his
commentaries, I emailed him. I complemented him on his contributions and told
him how much his shows meant to me growing up. He returned my email and was very
gracious. I'd recommend reaching out to him, if you are so inclined.

I did forget to mention that I too sent him an email after listening to the
commentaries on the SMDM set. He also responded and was very nice and friendly.
Seems like someone that would be fun to talk to at a party.

He is very warm and generous to the fans and he really does encourage
communication. He puts his email at the end of every commentary. Last time I
wrote to him was when Joe Harnell died and he passed my sympathies over to his
widow. Hell of a nice guy and his commentaries are always chock full of great
information.

The GOOD news: I finally got around to uploading my video of Lindsay's
acceptance speech. The BAD news is that it's missing the last few
minutes. After Lindsay, thanks her mom, she goes on to thank others.
But my little camera literally died (overheated?) before then. I was
shooting in HD and the processor was literally burning my fingers.

But fear not: Stephen Rice also shot video he'll be sharing with us soon.

There's also BETTER video than mine uploaded to YouTube by
"RussBatPSC" - he's got Lynda's speech, Richard's, and Ruta Lee's
(her's is outrageously funny!) BUT his Lindsay speech is BLOCKED in
the USA presumably due to the music he adds at the beginning. I've
sent him an email requesting he re-upload without the music. Here's
all his videos:

http://www.youtube.com/user/RussBatPSC

At any rate, Lindsay's full speech will hit the web one way or
another! Until then, here is my 95% of it:

If you'd like to hear more from Kenny, check out this Roundtable discussion we
did with him on my public access show back in 1991. He's on the phone, but he
was great as the discussion was on his television shows.
